Finally! I have always dreamt of this defender coming to Milan. We need to make our interest for him official:

Milan eye Mertesacker deal
AC Milan are reportedly interested in bringing Werder Bremen and Germany defender Per Mertesacker to the San Siro.

Milan have been searching around for a new centre-back following the retirement of Paolo Maldini, a problem compounded by Alessandro Nesta's continued struggle for fitness.

The Rossoneri have apparently found their man in 24-year-old Mertesacker.

Mertesacker, nicknamed ‘the pole' due to his tall, thin frame, made his debut for the German national team aged 19, and has already picked up an incredible 55 caps, amazing considering his young age.

The young German would add height to the Milan back line, and also bring plenty of top-class experience to the San Siro.

Werder will not let the talented defender go easily though, with the team from northwestern Germany apparently slapping a £12m price tag on Mertesacker

£12m?
Peanuts!

This team can win the treble, and it can compete for the Scudetto for 5 years without changing much. What the hell are you talking about!?

i thought that it was one of Marquinhos,Neymar and Hazard.

First of all, those THE DINHO thing is starting to go dry.
Secondly, it will be lucky if Milan can get two of the four players I mentioned.
Thirdly, to me Dzeko, Cissohko and even Hernanes are ifs and not a sure thing. Dzeko could flop just like Gila did.
Lastly, the formation looks awesome except for Dida but the problem is that if someone get injured than team is screw. Don't say that Seedorf will save his 5 great games a season off the bench, or how Ambro will be running, or Borreillo will be great off the bench and Nesta will just recover...

Even with all the ifs are positive, thats still not as strong a team as Barcelona in Europe, not to mention the likes of ManU, Real, Pool, Chelsea and Inter.

No offence mate but what the hell gives you the idea that this team is going to happen and subsequently win the treble? It's like fantasy football for a middle sized club.

Guys, who is this Berreta kid we are talking about? Anybody knows his first name? He doesn't sound like a star in the making given that i have never even heard of him but at least Galliani signed someone.

Even if he is not a star in the making, Galli will praise him like one and all of us will be going OH RIGHT, FInally some good news...

Not being picky and all but we really should not be thrill for signing like Zigoni or this Berrata. As they are just propects or youth signings. And 80% of youth signings won't even make it to the top level.

Giacomo Beretta is his full name. He was at the U-17 Euros with Italy, I think he was their topscorer in qualification. I've read he's "the new Vieri"...

I agree with what you said, but at the end of the day, we can't really fault people for not wanting to cough up blood in anger for this team. If we all do that, we'd all die by September. All I am saying is that we need to chill out a little bit and let whatever is going to happen, happen. Galliani doesn't listen to us at all, and our anger and frustration serves nobody any good. So, just lay back and enjoy the wonders of life instead of dwelling on Galliani and Berlusconi's bull crap.

At least when i spit my frustration and anger i feel a bit more relaxed, what Galli and Berlu are doing is for example kind of a disease, and for some people to cure from this disease they need new transfers ASAP,so i wont stop until i get my medicine and feel better.

Beretta,i know him from name and i am not going to lie but he is rumoured to be a great prospect, but still what the **** does Galliani thinks, that he can create a smile on my face by getting talents worth 1 million each who nobody knows?Beretta isnt going to add anything to the first team, maybe in 3 years we will see what he is capable off,he will only maybe get a debut like Paloschi when its injury-crisis.

Mertesacker wont come, its just a silly rumour,if there was any truth in it then we would have seen reports everyday that are linking us with him and then Galliani would confess he is a target, just like with the Dzeko-saga.But its just nothing.

And I would also add that I dont understand why people underrate Huntelaar so much. The man has unreal goal numbers, even his time in Madrid was superb. I dont see in which part of the game Dzeko is much better then Hunter. Maybe Im wrong, if someone has a way of explaining it Im opened for discussion...
No you are right,Huntelaar is much better than Dzeko acctually in all areas Mrki.

He has a better header(yes even that),his scoring ability is more proven than that of Dzeko,Huntelaar has scored each season tons of goals, while Dzeko only had one great season. And most importantly,Huntelaar's skills outside the box are way better than those of Dzeko,Hunter isnt a box-player,but can also participate in a setup of a attack.

Huntelaar is the best option on the market,i just cant believe why any team isnt interested in him.Huntelaar is a garuantee,Dzeko not and Ade is just crap if you compare him with Huntelaar.

Usually in this kind of circumstances i would be pissed if Milan would end up with our third target on the list(First Dzeko, then Ade,then Huntelaar)but now i would be thrilled and very happy it happened.

I absolutely agree. I have never seen the point in signing Adebayor. Certainly he's a decent player, but for the money Arsenal is requesting, you can find better players. And especially such who are fitting in the whole concept. Huntelaar would be an excellent transfer.

Concerning Mertesacker am I not sure wether he would be a good investment. He's certainly a solid and proven defender, but he's also one who is injured all the time. Regarding our CBs it is maybe not the best idea to buy another one who is out regularly. Furthermore is it doubtfull wether Werder is actually willing to sell him, after they already lost Diego. I don't see them selling two of their key players in one transfer period.
