THREE Questions...pls convey what u guys think??

1. How much Huntelaar cost & did real ofer him to Milan?

2. If Chelsea had offered the 60 million euros for Pato & 25 million for Pirlo before Real bid for Kaka, what would have Galli-Berlu team done??? Sell Kaka or Pato or Pirlo???

3. If Huntelaar / Dzeko / Ade (hope we dont buy ade) comes--------- will Boriello be out ?

Real bought Huntelaar for 20 million and would have to pay Ajax a extra 7 million bonusses if he plays in C.League etc.(so 27 million total.)

If Milan would be interested in Huntelaar and considering the fine relationship we have with them after selling Kaka to them we would pay around 18-22 million for him i think, but certainly not more.

If Chelsea would have offered 60 million for Pato Milan wouldnt sell i can tell you that, they still would have sold Kaka to Real and Pirlo maybe and kept Pato,Pato will be sold in future for around 100 million or so.Pato is for now unsellable,so no offer will change the MGT their position on this subject.

Borriello will stay,he will be the CF together with the new CF that will arrive,he already stated a million times that he doesnt want to leave, next year we will have 2 CF's,if the new one failes to make a impact Borrie will get his chance.

then what are we waiting for ?????....hope there is some secret agreement b/w galli and perez abt huntelaar

Milan will only go for Class-2 (class 2 in terms of moneY)..then huntelaar & dzeko are the best options....vargas, kjaer & hernanes would have been good additions plus a young promising goalie

I dont know why Milan is waiting to snap up Klaas-Jan,but i think the change is big we will eventually snap him up,as Luis Fabiano's agent again stressed that his client cost 30 million(the getout clause in his contract),Milan will never pay this amount on money on him.

Adebayor the same,Wenger only wants to let his topplayers leave for the full price and again Milan wont pay this kind of amounts.

So Huntelaar is the only option left.

Were all posting team lineups with players that will never arrive not they would say no , but no matter what Leo says unlike teams in England he will not get the players he want's unless they are free or cheap.

The one thing Im worrying about now it the Galli keep saying we are trying to sign Dzeko , even though Wolfs have no intention of selling and then come Sept MGT will say that the mercato was taken up trying to get Dzeko and there was no time for other deals so we will work with the players we have and they are champions etc...

But that's a worst case scenario I believe as much as MGT want cheap signings they know that with no signings we will fail in CL not qualify and lose more and more money and still have players on silly contracts.
So Im expecting 2 players at most one big and one a surprise a defender and a centre forward.

But the best that will get us is last 16 of CL and 4th 3rd best in the league.
And as for Pato he'll be around for 2 maybe 3 more seasons and then off to EPL or La Liga for 100mil , but if the money from future sales is used to invest it might not be bad but fingers crossed for this mercato.

While I do agree with the others, but they all showed great potentials, at least more than wht Dzeko and Cissohko had shown.

NOw I am not against them coming, but like I said, they should be treat as bare minimum, esp since Milan sold Kaka and Gourcuff, and we as fans should not be over the hill of joy for those signings.

Well, another point alot of us here fail to mention is the fact that a lot of clubs in Italy needs new owners who is willing to spend. Thats something that Series A does not have.
I'm sure Rino was brought with his potential in mind. Nobody probably realised he would reach the heights he did, but we did consider him to have the potential to be of Milan's standards. The others, Kaka and Pato in particular hadn't really shown much more potential than guys like Dzeko are showing now, in that they weren't sure bets when bought, in the same way Cissokho and Dzeko wouldn't be sure bets if they were to come. I don't want signings that will make me jump for joy, rather I'd like us to take calculated guesses with our signings that will make for great investments for our project.

Italy shouldn't follow the English and Spanish suit imo. What football needs is a reworking from the financial perspective. Essentially, order must be brought into football from the governing bodies to prevent clubs amounting unpayable debts which are ignored, it's essentially this sort of attitude that has put the world in the state it is.

1) Scarcity of land
2) getting considerable loans in times of economic hardship

You see, I am willing to recognize the positives of what is happening: Italian players will get more playing time and the national team should improve further. Also, with the new TV rights, the smaller Italian clubs may be able to do well in the Europa Cup.

As for competing at the highest level: that is not going to happen unless something very dramatic happens. The only other thing we can hope for is the collapse of the Prem bubble. In my opinion it is more likely that the Prem clubs find themselves in crisis than Italy sorting out its financial problems.
I'm pretty sure there should be locations where clubs can build new stadiums. Juve and Fiorentina are doing it and surely others can too. Getting loans is a different matter, as it is extremely difficult in current times (unless you're Real). This is a long term project which clubs must try to be realistic about, if they can get the loans now is probably a decent time to invest in new stadiums. The other argument is to get sponsorships on board. There was talk of Milan signing with Emirates a short while back, and that could lead to a new stadium (much like Arsenal).

To compete at the highest level is still possible. Currently, only England and Spain are ahead of Italy and with some smart signings (something some clubs in Italy seem to be doing, especially Napoli) Italy could at least strengthen enough to stay competitive in Europe, maybe not winning CL trophies frequently, but at least making decent runs in tournaments. Maintaining our position in the UEFA coefficient is of high importance, solidifying that can allow Italian clubs to build up competitiveness in Europe.

However, I think football needs to change in general. Money is key these days yet in football there is a shocking trend of irresponsible spending. Eventually, something will break and the collapse won't be manageable.

I'm almost certain that the reports that Dzeko had signed a new contract with Wolfsburg are false. Galliani's latest commentsabout the deal:

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is determined to sign Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko even if he has to wait for him.

The 23-year-old Bosnia international is Milan's No 1 transfer target this summer.

A formal offer has been sent to Wolfsburg, but the German champions have no intention of selling their star player.

“The attacker has spoken very clearly. He wants to come to Milan and Wolfsburg know this very well also through an official letter saying that we are interested in acquiring him,” Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Edin has a contract until 2011 and it's up to Wolfsburg to decide whether to sell him or not. They continue to say that they won't do it, but I will wait before going down alternative routes.

“In the market, patience has a value. From today, I will wait another 48 hours. Only from Thursday will I eventually take into consideration other hypotheses.

“We know that it's difficult to deal with a player who strongly wants to go away, but we are not a club that steals other people's players.

“It doesn't depend on the amount. The 'no' of Wolfsburg has up until now always been a principal,” he concluded.

So basicly we'll know what will happen on thursday.

Also it seems that the young player is Beretta. It's very positive that we're signing these young players with big potential these days. First Zigoni and now Beretta. They're not gonna be important players this year, and probably not the year after either, but in the long run this can be a good piece of buisness.

Real Madrid plays by a different set or rules than everyone else. They have a special status with the Spanish government as a non-profit social trust, so they aren't required to generate tens of millions of euros each year to service their debt. And because Real Madrid holds such social and political importance in Spain, they get very little pressure from their creditors to pay off their debts. That, combined with the fact that they have a lot of very wealthy men as directors, allows them to operate with pretty much whatever level of debt they want without the need to worry about bankruptcy.

What do you guys think of Luis Fabiano? Just from watching the Confederations Cup, especially the Italy match, the guy is a beast. Here are his stats over the past few years for Sevilla:

2007-2008 - 34 goals in 44 appearances (Sevilla)
2008-2009 - 17 goals in 37 appearances (Sevilla)
2008-2009 - 13 goals in 11 appearances (for Brazil NT)

If he has the support of Pato and Dinho with Pirlo supporting from the midfield, this can be a very good signing for us. Am I far-fetched on this one? I know there is a 30m price tag on him, but he is only 28.

I'm one of the first people to scream YOUTH for re-building this team, but we cant ignore what we've seen over the past two weeks.

Another name that i'm very surprised Milan arent tipped for is Huntelaar (I know we've talked about him on the forum, but that doesnt mean we're chasing). Check out these stats:

2005-2006 - 44 goals in 47 appearances (split between Heerenveen and Ajax)
2006-2007 - 36 goals in 51 appearances
2007-2008 - 36 goals in 45 appearances
2008-2009 - 17 goals in 35 appearances (split between Ajax and Real madrid)

Once he got going in Spain, he ended up being very strong for Madrid. If he's on the market, I dont see why we're not jumping. Especially with him being 25 yrs old. At 6 ft 1, he's a big presence in the middle and as you can see above, there are small doubt that he can be strong. We're not basing him off of 1 good season (arguably for Ade and Dzeko)

thoughts?

I love Fabiano. I don't get to see him play much for Sevilla, but he's been terrific for Brazil for some time now. He would be my personal first choice among strikers, actually. I think he would actually be worth the 30 million euro price tag. I trust Leonardo's judgement on Dzeko, but I haven't seen much of him, so I personally would be more comfortable paying 30 for Fabiano than even 20 for Dzeko. I think Fabiano is a sure thing. It was good to see his comments about Milan as well. It seems that if Milan were willing to pay the price (a big "if"), they wouldn't have a problem getting him.

I like Huntelaar a lot too. It would be great if Milan could afford both of those guys. A strike force of Fabiano, Pato and Huntelaar could do a lot of damage. And actually Milan is officially interested in Huntelaar as an option if they don't get Dzeko. Galliani said so a couple of days ago and he confirmed they do have a sort of an option on Real Madrid players because of the Kaka negotiations, so Milan could get him at a bit of a discount. But it seems Adebayor (who I also like, but not as much as Huntelaar) might be one spot ahead of him in the pecking order.

I think Luis Fabiano is an excellent striker but isn't always consistent. He's not a player I'd mind though.

As for Huntelaar, I must bite the bullet and say I was wrong in the past when I questioned him making it at the top. In his time at Real, he's done very well and should we fail with Dzeko (who I think is more physical than Huntelaar who is more of a poacher), I would make him a top target.

What exactly are the problems? I can understand it's not something that can be done overnight, but surely it should be possible? I agree Berlu isn't likely interested in this idea, but it's one way for the club to move forward.

He seemed to suggest the bureaucracy of building stadiums, when land is already really expensive in Italy, is almost insuperable. Berlusconi will not cough up the funds, nor will he sell. So, we are stuck really with this self-important moron.

I think Luis Fabiano would be a horrific signing personally. He'll be 29 in November, so that would expose Galliani as a professional liar once again. Also, he had a far more prolific season last year.

So, we sell a 27 year old and buy a 29 year old, who would hardly get the pulses racing. I would much rather sign Adebayor or Huntelaar, who are better investments for the future.
