This is way too much.

And very unfair. The EPL teams look like Serie A teams, haha. WOW.
The thing is, people still think Real won't do well and bc. they won't play like a team.....But with a starting lineup of
Casillas
Ramos-Abidol-Pepe-Marcelo
Diarra-Diarra
CR7-Kaka-Robben
Benzema

WIth a bench of Sneijder, VDV, Higuin, Raul, Guti, VN, Huntelaar, Drenthe...

Nomatter how much we hope they will fail. But thats a pretty balance squad to me and once they start clicking, esp if they can have their team ready by July and have two months to train together, they are a force.

If our mercato ends with Hernanes, Huntelaar, Cissohko, and a CB. I'll be more then happy.

This formation, is just a mock up, I'm not saying we should play this, I just want to put players in an eleven.

The thing is they actually done that and if I am not wrong Milan had 4 CL finals in a row or something like that.

Thats not bad but it is still nothing compare to what Real is doing.
Beside, that might be a stronger team than last season but not to the point that can dethrone Inter.

i would get rossi to play behind Hunt and Pato and they would be very difficult to stop

I agree with you.

But let me ask you something, how nice would it be to defeat Real Madrid next season in the CL, or even in the finals.

*I'M DREAMING*

But it would be pretty sweet, for even any other Serie A team to knock them out and win the CL, in this Serie A crisis.

Not just Milan or Series A team. IT would be awesome to see any team beating Real next year. B/c they have firmly establish themselves as the TEAM to hate/beat in Europe or the WORLD. Thats to me is the greatest compliment any team or club could achieve.

Forgot to mention, Real also have Gago and Garay

Yeah, but if we could be "more of a team" then Real Madrid, that could be an advantage. Now, I'm sorry to even mention us competing with Real Madrid.

BACK TO REALITY

Yes, goodness I'd love to see them fail.

Well, the fact that I don't think Huntelaar's goal-poaching skills depend on any particular other player notwithstanding, why would Ronaldinho not be able to play successfully as a trequartista? Just because Barcelona used a 4-3-3? Actually, Ronaldinho's game is probably a more natural fit in the position than Kaka's, especially if Leonardo plays a 4-3-1-2. It's not a position that requires great speed, but rather a position that requires the ability to pass, dribble and pull strings in the offense. Riquelme certainly never had great speed. Even Zidane's genius came from his playmaking ability, not from blazing speed. Ronaldinho is a more audacious and probably a more creative playmaker than Kaka. Nobody is more elegant with the ball. If, say, Pato and Huntelaar are playing in front of him, opposing defenses will fear his unique methods of getting the ball to the strikers. Kaka was more conservative, more direct. He, at this point, is a better one-on-one player, always knowing exactly the right moment to streak past opponents toward the goal. But in the matter of creating chances for his teammates, I'm not sure he's superior to Ronaldinho (assuming, of course, that Ronaldinho takes this opportunity to prove himself and to win a spot on Brazil's World Cup team with the hunger that he should -- and it's hard for me to imagine that he won't).

Well we had 3 finals, in 1993 against Marseille, 1994 against Barcelona, and 1995 against Ajax. But if I'm not mistaken the core of the team is still those Italian players from Sacchi's era and only 3 foreign players were allowed to be fielded at the same time. What RM is doing now is either gonna succeed admirably or spectacularly failed. They have achieved both with their first Galacticos.

True, but this team is a lot more balanced (no more Pavon in the back four) and younger than that old one. Even the oldest star in Kaka has at least another four years on top of his game.

The coach is the key. Too much stars and no coach to discipline them. Only Capello or Ferguson could successfully guide such a team.

But yet they only work well on the paper, whether they can gel quickly is remains to be seen. And just like El Fre said, if the coach can't control the players' ego, they're doomed.

The coach is indeed the key, but I think it is also important to examine the team as a whole to see if they have enough compatability to work together. On that team, only CRonaldo seem to be a guy who has a huge ego that can't be easily satisfied. Benzema is still relatively young and Kaka is a humble guy. So, I honestly don't see there being too many difficulties for the team to gel. It will, of course, take good coaching and time for them to fully unite as one, but it isn't really as impossible as a lot of people made it out to be.
