The Crouch story is quite ridiculous, some crazy journalism methinks.

If I was Leo I would make Pato a AM. He has the skill and pace, kind of like Kaka was for as. Attacking Mid and striker. I would transfer Pato to that position. Then we would have to buy strikers, like Rossi but IF you have Rossi, XXXX, and Pato thats a attack to die for
Ofcourse you need mid like Gattuso and Flamini behind them

i would find a way to buy hunt, and sell Dinho to someplace like Man City that will overpay for him. we can use some of that money to but Rossi, and Turin's president said Rossina is avilable for 5 mil, we should take that. those three, with Pato would tear Europe apart for years

Thanx for the article, I posted it on another forum.... Here are my thoughts on it.....

The article is its a little too elementary and not enough analysis on the points... but the point that end kaka isnt end of world is true. I think milans biggest problem last years has been we have too many fantasistas. whether they like to play behind striker (kaka) deep (pirlo) out left (ronnie) talking to coach on sideline while he should be playing (seedorf) we have far too many guys who want ball and not enough who work for each other.... Clearly Galliani wanted to play 'beautiful football' with kaparo uptop.... pirlo, seedorf in midfield. Lots of great 'passers' but it failed cause you only play with one ball.

Ronaldinho is still an absolute world class player in skill, motivation is more his issue. If a brazilian former AM like Leo cannot get best out of him, then i have no idea who can, but i'll hold judgement. If we add a proper CF though and FB who run.... even though the team may lack names, it'll function more like a proper team. Milan last year suffered the problem of galactico real madrid w/ figo, zidane, raul,, beckham whether its too many playmakers not enough workers. As weird as it is to say if kaka is replaced with two fast, physical workman like players (FB and CF) we will be better team. Look at inter... though they lack creativity, they do know there roles... maicon and ibra create... everyone else runs.

Still in an ideal world, we would have NEVER doubt ronaldinho last summer.... instead that money would have gone to get a CF and a FB. But its done, what can we say.

I think leo is going to use some sort of barca meets roma type tactic. We'll play an attacking trident with ronaldinho on left, pato on right. Pato could excel in this role like messi and robinho have. he isnt quite the dribbler they are but he is easily as good as Henry who proved to be just as effective too.

Pirlo (if he's still here) will be pushed up more to a cm as our main playmaker w/ 2 DM's behind him. Or.... we could do like barca do w/ xavi and iniesta with pirlo and another playmaker and just 1 natural DM. If we did that other playmaker would need to be a REAL worker like iniesta, cause pirlo doesnt run much without the ball or dribble (similar to xavi)

CF
Ronaldinho----pato

pirlo
ambrosini---gattuso

or....

CF
Ronaldinho----Pato

Pirlo--Sneijder
Gattuso

Eitherway both will be FAR more successful than inters 4-3-3 for 3 reasons. 1) ronaldinho nad pato are infinitely better than quaresma/mancini. 2) Neither Ronnie or Pato will stay as wide as Mourinho wanted his wingers (ours would be wide forwards not wingers) 3) We will have a true midfield playmaker.... inter had muntari, cambiasso, zanetti... all hard workers hardly creative... it'd be like if we started flamini, ambrosini, gattuso

Both these will require quality fb's to provide width.... to be honest any tactic we adopt will unless we go 4-4-2 which we do not have the personnel for at all

True but in past seasons even with our first team playing we've dropped many points. Often because we lack strength to force our will.

As it stands we have seedorf to back up pirlo and apparently di gennaro is going to be converted to that position, flamini for DM, boriello, pippo for CF..... we have no ronaldinho or pato backups though

Sorry, I meant 4 finals in 5 years and 5 in 7 years

Barcelona is a team put together by a coach, someone who actually knows football, Real Madrid is put together by a man who knows nothing of football, and he proved that the last time around. And the Benzema signing is insane to say the least, they already have so many attackers, among those Higuain who was their best player last season, and who I'd rate much higher than Benzema.
What I said was TEAM TO HATE/BEAT. Barcelona to me is a team that people admire while also want to beat.

To me at least, thats very very different. For example, I don't want to see Barcelona lose at all, b/c they play beautiful football and not counter attack/camping out inside their box. While I do want Real to be beaten b/c they just jave too much.

What a way to start a day... you wake hoping that this will be a great day... Then see Real Madrid sign Benzema and Milan is linked with Peter freakin Crouch! What a joke... Even if it was a real joke, just shows to say how Milan has gone downhill that journalist dare to write such crap... And it's not beyond the world to believe it, seeing how we've positioned ourselves for buying cheap crap players (cemented by renewing Favalli)

I bet the 400 season tickets were all corporate purchases... I cannot believe any fan would buy tickets!

Many stuff to comment.

Vidic:

If Milan did offer to buy Vidic, to me it shows two thing, NESTA can no longer perform at the highest level or T. Silva is not as good as we all think he is.

Or else, why would Milan want to get a WC defender like Vidic while already plan to start Nesta and T.Silva as the CB pairings.

Crouch.

R U kidding me, and it just shows how crap people think Milan is, as instead of being link with Benzema, Tevez, Eto, and others, Milan is being link with Crouch. The sad part is that deep down inside, all of us fans are hoping that is not true instead of knowing it is not true.

Team Play Vs Individual brilliance.
Samaldinho, I love reading your posts but to say that Real will not be playing like a team next season and will not succeed is a big mistake. Team play no doubt will be important but individual brilliance will be key to turning a defeat into victory. CR7, Kaka and Benzema might not be the Maradona, ZZ or R99(in his prime) but they are capable of carrying the team on their shoulder as long as the team won't concede goals, and with Real defense and DMs next year(no serious injuries ofcourse), they are as strong as anyonre.
Yes, the US team done great at Confederations Cup, but thats hardly WC or Euro. As the mentality of players are different, not saying the countries that went do not want to win but the players know that winning the CC is a huge different than winning the WC or Euro, thus, they probably won't be trying as much as they would. Thats at least is my opinion. On top of that the US team was on form at the right time while the other teams ain't, esp Italy, to me IT players lacked motivations, kind of like watching how MIlan players played last two seasons.
What I like about Perez/Real is the fact that he is making all his incoming transfer asap, maybe that will help them gain more revenues or charge more in Friendlies, but it will also help the Coach, the team and the players to know who is who and train together for the upcoming season. Thats more than I can say about Milan.

Benzema=35mil.
Why the heck did Milan not offer that to Lyon instead of going to pay eventually 30Mil for Dzeko.
