Actually, its a perfect reason for MGT to offer an even lower bid for Dzeko!

Considering how we handled the Cissoko saga, Arnautovic won't be arriving. He has an injury cloud as well, and you know what MGT. does when that happens! Offer a loan or half of his asking pirce!

Lyon just got a 10 million bid for Cissoko knocked down. Why can't Milan offer 12 million plus Janko. It would work, if the saga is all about cash. YOu don't seriously think that Galliani is going to back off from a future star because of wierd teeth that the player himself thinks are fine..... It has to be a financial argument.

With Onyewu signing and Janku will be no longer useful as a bargain chip to lure Mexes, it's reasonable. But you know Galliani. He'd offer Janku + no cash for Cissokho, saying that the two were equal.

It is more like Janku=Cissohko+cash from Galliani.

That's your opinion. From what i've seen of TS, I think he's better than those three. Santa is overrated, Zapata is injury prone and Mexes is too expensive and inconsistent. Just because a player is cheap doesn't mean he's terrible. Man Utd bought Vidic for 6 million pounds. Thiago Silva will impress everyone. Your lack of faith is very damaging and in some ways insulting.

I wonder if you really would be happy had we bought Mexes instead of Thiago; you'd probably say the same things about him if he doesn't play well for a while.

I would not say Santacroce is overrated, but I do agree agree that Mexes is inconsistent though. As for Zapata, he is not really injury prone more like just injured for a long time.

All I am saying is that there is as much chance for Nesta being fit as it will rain tomorrow.....

once a injury becomes chronic, it will remain forever. That is why it was clever to sell Kaka, as he only contributed in three quaters of the games in Serie A at the most!

We need someone similar to Nesta, who we can actually afford! Oddo and Janko are excellent bargaining chips to be used if Galliani can't scupper the last three million or so Euro. Even Seedorf should be considered.....

Why are you so agressive? People are doubting Thiago Silva, because we have hardly seen anything of him. The last time he played in Europe, it was ultimate failiure. Such facts should understandibly put doubt into some peoples' minds. This is in no way however of writing Silva off. Mexes has been on the European stage for years, and has played plenty in the UEFA Champions league. Therefore, he is garuanteed as a worthy replacement....

As expected, Roma offloaded their inconsistent defender Simone Loria to Torino just a couple of weeks ago. Thus, the club are now in search of a replacement at the back.

Loria was in the Roman squad to act as an immediate alternative to Juan and Philippe Mexes, if injury or suspension were to strike either of them.

With the former Siena man now gone, the Giallorossi desperately need to acquire at least one more defender, and according to the latest reports from Romagiallorossa.com, they may have found their man.

Stefano Lucchini of Sampdoria is being touted as a potential addition to the squad, and following a number of impressive displays last term, he could prove to be the perfect inclusion for the capital club.

The reports go on to suggest that Luciano Spalletti wants four central defenders in his squad, so expect he and the club to strongly pursue their interest in Lucchini.

Hijack the deal now Milan if you have any guts! Atleast this player has experience in Serie A. If Nesta is gone, we can't afford to have two CBs who are still learning the league as they go. It's too risky. most likely, one of them will fail, and we will have to play Favalli or the injured/inconsistent Kaladze.

Not writing Bonera off though. Would like him to take the next step this season.

This is my "heirachy" as you might like to say, for the current CBs we have:
First two are starters

1. Nesta (If fit!!!!!!)
2. T.Silva (for the season opener atleast. Needs to get off to a rolling start)
3. Favalli (For some reason, he is highly repsected by the players and Milan coaches for his fine "defensive" skills!?)
4. Kaladze (Galliani loves him, because he allows Uncle Fester to be cheap when it comes to patching up our worst area)
5. Bonera (Should be higher, but with so little apperances in the past two seasons, he remains in this lowly spot)
6. Onyewu (Of course there are question marks, and no one from Milan has come out to say anything official about him, let alone praise him...)
7.Albertazzi (Yet to cut his teeth in Serie A. if this was Carlo, he would never get a go. However, leo might have a different attitude, and if he impresses in friendlies, he may get the nod...)
8. Flamini (He has played there before at Arsenal, and is great at RB. Better than some of our current CBs, trust me, but prefers to play in the midfield. Atleast he is an option.)

The Italian giants have targeted Bale after their bid to sign FC Porto left back Aly Cissokho collapsed after he failed a medical.

AC’s new boss Leonardo, the 1994 Brazilian World Cup winner, is said to be keen on landing Bale and trying to turn him into the new Paolo Maldini.

Milan’s city rivals Internazionale, who are managed by Jose Mourinho, are also monitoring Bale’s progress.

Mourinho (pictured right) is a known admirer of the Tottenham defender, picking him last season in a Premier League dream team.

“Bale could be indispensable for any team and could prove to be a better player than Ashley Cole,” said Mourinho.

The public words of the former Chelsea boss seem to have alerted Inter’s big foes AC Milan to Bale’s qualities.

Milan are seeking a new left-back to replace the ageing Marek Jankulovski, who has stepped into the boots of Maldini in the past couple of years.

The Corriere Dello Sports newspaper reports that Milan are lining up a £9m bid for Welsh star Bale.

It goes on to state that Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani and the club’s transfer special advisor Ariedo Braida are confident of putting together a package to secure Bale’s signature.

His acquisition, states the newspaper, would follow in Milan’s recent trend of not signing out-and-out superstars, but players they believe they can mould into that category.

Bale’s future at Spurs remains up in the air after Harry Redknapp’s refusal to play him in his team on a regular basis.

Bale was the most wanted teenager in British football when Martin Jol snapped him up from Southampton for £10m, fighting off intense competition from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.

But Bale’s first season in the top flight was hindered by injury and he has yet to become a first-choice member of Redknapp’s starting XI.

There has been speculation linking Bale with a move to Liverpool and, more recently, a season’s loan spell with Premier League newcomers Birmingham.

But Milan’s reported interest underlines the stature and esteem with which Bale is held after some terrific performances on the world stage for Wales, even though Redknapp doesn’t yet appear to regard him quite so highly.

Milan are stepping up their bid for a left-back after the £12m move for Cissokho collapsed when he failed his medical because of a spinal problem.

Cissokho declared he had passed a second medical he undertook and that he had subsequently signed a pre-contract agreement.

But Milan tried to renegotiate the bid on a loan basis due to their concerns over Cissokho’s fitness.

After the parties involved failed to reach agreement, Galliani announced the move was off and the club would look elsewhere for a new defender.

Bale is currently recovering from knee surgery after injuring himself in between Wales’ recent matches against Estonia and Azerbaijan.

He missed the 1-0 World Cup win in Baku, but expects to be back in John Toshack’s team for the September showdown with Russia at the Millennium Stadium
