Youtube???

The guy is 24 years old, of course it's possible to make a 3 minute video of him looking like a world class player. I'm not saying that he isn't, I'm just saying that maybe Youtube shouldn't always be trusted.

I'm sure you could put together a short video making Kalac look like a world class goalkeeper as well...

AC Milan Close To Agreement With Sevilla For Luis Fabiano - Agent

Negotiations between the two clubs appeared to have stalled, but the Brazilian's agent has said that an agreement is not far off...
14 Jul 2009 18:51:37

The 28-year-old looks set to leave Sevilla this summer as Milan attempt to conclude a deal for the Brazilian, and his agent has countered the claims coming from Milan's lawyer saying that the negotiations were off.

"We made an offer and they said no and so we had to revoke our offer," Leandro Cantamessa had told Sky Sport Italia earlier, but Jose Fuentes, the striker's agent, says an agreement isn't as far off as Cantamessa claimed.

"We are waiting for Milan to return as their first offer was a little too low," Fuentes explained to TuttoMercatoWeb.

"Milan must push a little more. If not, the negotiations could continue for some time."

Fuentes went on to reveal that the Rossoneri had offered €14 million for the striker, while Sevilla were holding out for around €30m.

"The market value of the player is around €20m," the agent continued, "and this seems to me to be the right figure."

Milan must negotiate both with los Rojiblancos and RIO, an investment group who own 65% of Luis Fabiano's rights. There are other clubs willing to open talks if no agreement can be reached, but Luis Fabiano's first choice is the Italian outfit.

"Milan remain the only club we are speaking to. We have given them our word and we intend to respect that," Fuentes concluded.

Milan: Luis Fabiano "dead end"
Tuesday 14 July, 2009
Milan have “revoked” their offer for Luis Fabiano after talks with Sevilla reached “a dead end,” announced one of their directors.

The Brazilian’s buy-out clause is around £25m, but the Rossoneri were hoping to seal a deal for £15m plus performance-related bonuses.

“The negotiations for Luis Fabiano have reached a dead end,” director Leonardo Cantamessa told Sky Sport Italia.

He also denied reports Milan were trying to get the player for just under £10m by talking to the Rio company that owns 65 per cent of his contract.

“Our talks have always been with Sevilla and only with that club, not the player. We have made our offer and, as they said no, it has been revoked.

“You need to ask [Vice-President Adriano] Galliani if there will be another offer, but at this moment I really don’t think so.”

It is a heavy blow considering this week Coach Leonardo had described the move for Luis Fabiano as “lacking only a few details.”

There were reports this morning that President Silvio Berlusconi personally put the brakes on the deal, as he did not want to pay such a large sum of money despite pocketing £56m from Kaka’s sale to Real Madrid.

It remains to be seen whether this is just a ploy to get Sevilla to lower their asking price, fully aware that Luis Fabiano has publicly begged to be able to join Milan, or if the transfer has truly floundered.

About Hernanes some points:

Gourcuff's youtube videos are more impressive (Im not commenting who is better)

Sao Paulo have already taken a swipe at us saying we are 'broke'

For all those wanting Pirlo out and him in, that will be one less Italian player in the side.

And last, we aint signing him (We cant afford him).

Galliani has confirmed that we will not be making new offers for Fabiano; Berlusconi has said 15 million is the maximum amount we are going to offer. (milannews).

In the past I would think this was a negotiation ploy, but now it is clear that we do not have the resources to sign anyone.

What a bunch of cheap, incompetent liars and cheats. Would it really be such a huge deal to offer a bit more and actually secure a player on time!?!?

I believe the Football Italia article over the Goal.com one Fabiano isnt coming ( whata shocker that was) and ofcourse his agent is going to say that the deal is on because its in the interest of his player( Fabiano) and his pockets for his player to be in the spotlight , Im afraid this is a bad bad mercato its only football but its still bad for it to go this way Dzeko NO , Cissokho NO , Fabiano NO , Hernanes ? ( I doubt it).

IM SAYING IT HERE FIRST NEXT IT WILL BE ETO BUT HIS WAGES WILL BE TOO HIGH THIS WILL DRAG OUT UNTIL AUGUST 31ST THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE TO SIGN A PLAYER MISSION ACCOMPLISED.

lets sign rossi then! Pato , Inzaghi , Borriello for the striker positions. Dinho , Pato , Rossi, Abate , Di Gennaro as second strikers/wingers

Do you not listen they wouldnt pay over 15 for Fabiano , 20 for Dzeko backtracked on a deal for Cissokho , What in the name of god makes you think a deal for Rossi for 28 - 34 million will happen.

Either your being sarcastic or you the optomistic person on the planet but no Dice on any player over 15 million is clear and for those who think Hernanes or D'Agostino will arrive if Pirlo leaves I hope your right but I would not be surprised if Pirlo left and no1 came in.

Antonini brought to Milan was for 3rd or 4th backup, not direct backup for our fullbacks. That's what he said in his interview in his first weeks with Milan. He himself realised his quality.
man why you're hating

it didn't say that we won't make a new offer..it said we haven't made a new offer and berlusconi still wants the offer of 15 million....so we jus have to wait and see...however, it doesn't mean that we can't increase it a little

Real Madrid hasnt sold Huntelaar yet becouse they will keep him untill Galliani finds himself a CF. If he fails, Milan will get Huntelaar.

But this state in which we cant pay for anyone serious is really sad to see. Brlusconi has made so much money from transfers this summer and we cant pay 18-20mln for Fabiano. 20mln is a fair price for this player right now as at this moment he is at the highest point of his career and form.

My nautions of reading same **** every day how we dont have money. Really, we cant think we'll do anything with the investments like Genova.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

On Hernanes, I thikn youtube can only disciver CF's abilities, as it clearly showes finish ability of certain players. At least to some point it shows the player.

I have seen Hernanes in 90 min games, like 5,6 times. I have to say he had better and worse performances in those matches, but he has class in his play. He is not a player like Pirlo, but as Brk said reminds of younger Seedorf. Also, Hernanes is not fast, but is not slow either. He moves well and follows the play intelligently. Reads the game well and his passing is on highest level. BUT, again, its extremly hard for me to judge a player in brasilian league. Its a different football world.

I've also noticed that at some points Hernanes was too rlaxed on the pitch - "Pirlo stile"

All in all, I would pay for him and sign him "instead" of Pirlo. Either way, our DM will be Gattuso or Flamini, for Hernanes.

--------Gattuso-------
--Hernanes---Flamini----

I've seen Hernanes play on the left, right, centre etc. All in one game. He can do it all, but Leonardo wants hard DM, and he'll play Rino-Flamini/Ambro.

The formation we could see is actually 4-2-2-2. It doesnt mean it will not work.

-----Gattuso---Flamini----
------Hernanes-Dinho---
--------Pato--Fabiano---

This means, that this team will adopt its play during the game and play 4-3-1-2, 4-2-3-1 etc. During the attcking play it could be 4-2-2-2.

It this case, and that is what Leo is saying GOOD fullbacks are necessary. That is why he wanted Cissokho, a player that is able to play 90min of top tempo up and wond and hes phisical power.

We'll need a brilliant tactical setup now when KAka' is gone, becouse to play Pato at RW is something that simply cANT happen, for the love of football! Pato is a goal player, he lives for goals. Dinho cant be CAM.

We are actually in great tactical problems, and we need one brilliant fullback and one brilliant CF. so far we have none.

EDIT:

I also wouldnt mind we play Pato as a CF and create a tight midfield of Flamini, Gattuso, Hernanes, AM, Dinho. We had Gourcuff for that, but we have money now.

Right, Berlusconi still wants the 15 million offer to go through, meaning that what he says Galliani does. I don't think we will increase our offer. All we are doing is making our image even worse in the football world. Honestly, we are not conducting ourselves like a prestigious club.

Now, we have to speculate on line-ups etc. with the players we have. Can we do well with the strikers at our disposal (assuming Pato isn't sold)?

I think so, especially if Borriello can stay injury free.
