Barca are mad to spend that much money on a player who doesn't play for the team and chokes in big matches. Ibra is one of the most selfish players I have seen, i would like to see how he fits into a "team" like Barcelona.

^^ He has to be selfish for Inter because there's no one for him to play with. There's hardly anyone on his level of technical ability in that team, so he's left to do it all on his own. This can work in the domestic league but has fallen short in the CL. But with Barca he'll at least have people on his level to play with. I'm sure he'll be fine, as will Eto'o at Inter.

Hernanes is great player and would fit Milan nicely. São Paulo is passing for some troubled times right now, their coach were fired weeks ago and they are badly missing Rogerio Ceni´s leadership.
I think this guy has lots of potential and is avaliable for a fair price.
He was once cited as more expensive player because everybody thought he would be a national team first eleven, but he lost his place to Felipe Melo what made his stock low.

I used to think that without Ibra, Inter would instantly lose their dominance. The news that he may be replaced with Cassano has me thinking differently.

Yes and no.

I mean it might be a dumb idea to say, pay 50% of the remainder of Dida's contract in order to send him away to another team. But thats also 50% of Dida's contract money less spend instead of paying him 100% to sit on the Bench.

It really depends on how you look at it.

Take EPL teams, they can sign as many 16 yrs old footballer to professional contract b/c their law allows them to but the same cannot be said about Series A Clubs.

Kaka’s move to Real Madrid from Milan was confirmed on June 8, 2009, in a deal that would see the Brazilian join the Spanish club for the next six seasons. The deal cost the 'Casa Blanca' a mammoth fee of over €65 million, which kicked off their spending spree this summer.

For the first time since the move was sealed, the wife of the player, Caroline Celico, had her say on the transfer, and more significantly the cost, something that she has declared is a sign from God.

“I made a covenant with the Lord, that I was convinced in spirit to marry a virgin. After falling in love with Kaka, I thought that I would fail in doing this; however I told him clearly that I wanted to remain a virgin until marriage.

“It was a signal that I had respected the Lord, and now there is a sign from God, through Real Madrid.

“How can someone, in this period of crisis, be worth so much money? It is because God has put this money into the hands of Real Madrid, in order to recruit Kaka.

“From here we can open a church in Madrid, as there are people who must hear our words.”

Kaka and his wife are both evangelical Christians, who are involved with an organisation that preaches the word of the Lord. There is a video currently on Youtube which outlines their objectives through this mission, which they will be hoping to pursue further in Spain.

I was making the argument about why Berlu is prepared to sell Pirlo. His biggest problem is Pirlo's high salary, my point being other players with less important roles in Milan with similar salaries would be better sold first.

As for who is going to buy them, I'm pretty sure we could sell Kaladze for a fair amount this summer if we want to for around 8-10m. As for Dida, he's more difficult to sell, but I wouldn't mind releasing him back to Brazil (which would appear his favoured destination) if the need arose.

Have I missed something here? Why exactly would we need to agree to subsidize part of their contract? Even then if this were to happen, we could cover the difference with the money we get from the sale. It means that we don't really make much, but at the very least we get two mammoth wages off the list.

They have potential, and whilst I can't speak for others, I do want them to get a fair chance next season, both to see if they're capable and to let them grow as players. I don't mind getting Rosina mind you.

Not much can be done about how Real covered their debt last time. But we have to remember Real won't be able to get in such debt again should the law be passed. If they were to use such a scheme to make money though, nothing can really be done as far as I'm aware. Real are a very difficult problem, because they have a lot of support from external sources who are willing to spend at their own expense. However, the spending in football must be curbed and this is at least a start.

I'm not sure I follow your Tevez example if I'm honest.

Hernanes for 10 mil and Trezeguet for Oddo, and some defensive player for the remainder of the cash - sure not a class starting defender but some valuable back up, possibly young and promising - and I am happy for this transfer market.

A question to those who know something about Hernanes... could he be played along side with Pirlo? Or maybe a bit on the flank? How could we organize a 5-man midfield with him?

As for Davide Di Gennaro, I dont think he can be too much of a back-up for Dinho.... I guess Seedorf can be the back-up.... I mean, maybe if he doesnt get to play much he will run and put more effort to get a starting spot, and if he isnt played every week he will be fresher. He could be a fine sub. Especially if we get Hernanes, I dont see him as a starter.
