Summer mercato 2009

Ater being used to big signings and quality players trophies and worldwide compliments its hard to go to well erm NOTHING b ut its not doom and gloom were still good enough to finish in the top 4 next year.

But what about the years after that cos when Pirlo , Gattuso , Janku , Pippo , Kaladze , Ambro , Nesta , Seedorf , Zambro , even Dinho are 2 years older how good will they be i honestly think Berlu and only him because i think if Galli could he'd spend 300 million he would but is Berlu thinking these once great players can go the Maldini and Billy route and play into there 40's because thats were we are headed .

Now i know we have potential players in the youth setup but realisticly out of every 10 prospects if 1 goes on to greatness and 2 become good players its asking alot , I hope these kids are the sh1t and come December we have a great mix of youth and experience and are riding high wave of success.

Fabiano takes Sevilla to court Sunday 19 July, 2009

Luis Fabiano is taking Sevilla to court in London to ensure he is released to Milan for £12.5m due to ‘breach of contract.’

Reports in Italian, Spanish and Brazilian newspapers today claim the Rio business who own 65 per cent of the player have begun legal action.


There is a clause in his contract that states Sevilla must release the striker if an offer greater than £9m is received, so they cannot legally reject the £12.5m bid by Milan.


The reports state that lawyer Graham Shear – who represented Michael Owen in his case for Newcastle United in 2006 – has been put in charge of the case.


It will be taken to the Queen’s Bench Division of the High Court in London, a section of the Royal Courts of Justice that specialises in cases of breach of contract.


For obvious reasons, the Rossoneri are trying to steer well clear of any controversy by taking a step back.


Vice-President Adriano Galliani already stated that he had only met the Rio representatives as “a courtesy meeting” and all negotiations for Luis Fabiano would be directly with Sevilla.

Are we going down this road if theres a release clause we should I mean Fabiano is a very good player could hit 20 - 25 goals as can pato this with a firing Dinho could be awesome go for it Galli and Id like a Lb or Cb aswell and Hernanes id be a happy man , thats a hopeful mercato though.

^^ I was just about to post the same thing. I can't believe we have made Fabiano turn against his own club Sevilla, now he wants to take them to court. It would be funny if we don't get him after all this, remember Adebayor lol.

Not that we can't get Hernanes or that we might lose out to Fenerbache (which I don't care), but that Sao Paolo laughed at us in a way that our club's reputation was seriously tarnished. And we had Galliani to thank for.

Not that we can't get Dzeko or Fabiano, but that we manipulated them into publicizing their intention to join Milan before deserting them.

For those who know me, I am always optimistic (I still am. Even with this lousy mercato, I still believe in the team.) and was always supportive of the management (namely, B&G) until now. It is just that this summer has been, eh, very different, to say the least.

I know that you could always say the summer is long, or that maybe we will buy someone in August. Yes, all that might happen, and I am hoping for that to happen, but so far, I haven't seen any sign of that happening and I can't convince myself of that. I start to think that maybe it is true that we do only have 15 million's budget after all. If so, there is no shame in admitting it, or you don't have to admit that, but you've got to stop flirting around. Fans will be sad, but not mad.

I don't know whether it is still possible, but my wish list is short: Dzeko and one strong fullback (say, De Silvestri). We are competitive without them but I truly believe that those two will complete us. Of course, we will need luck in a healthy Nesta, a motivated Pirlo, and a healthy and motivated Ronaldinho, if we want to achieve something major this season.

Real Madrid may have spent all summer signing players, but they are now ready to commence a massive selling operation.

According to Marca, Los Merengues are hoping to raise around €100 million from the sale of six players: Arjen Robben (€25m), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (€20m), Mahamadou Diarra (€20m), Alvaro Negredo (€17m), Rafael van der Vaart (€15m) and Gabriel Heinze (€10m).

However, selling these players has not proven an easy task. Thus far, Huntelaar's case is the most advanced, with a €18m offer from Stuttgart on the table. The Dutch striker has not travelled to Ireland for the pre-season tour, but he is yet to commit to a move. Jorge Valdano has instructed him to make his mind up by Monday.

Negredo, meanwhile, is attracting interest from Villarreal and Sevilla, but they are refusing to pay Real Madrid's asking price. Therefore, a move to England seems most likely, and Tottenham Hotspur are the favourites at the moment. Madrid had tried to include him in a deal to buy David Villa, but Valencia were not interested.

Finally, Heinze is wanted by Marseille and his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, but they are both unwilling to match his current wages.

Robben, Van der Vaart and Diarra are still to attract any official bids. However, Madrid might compensate by selling Javi Garcia, who seems on the verge of joining Benfica, while Wesley Sneijder could be used in an exhcange deal to land Xabi Alonso, although that would not generate any money for Los Merengues.

Negotiations between Milan and Sevilla over Brazilian international hitman Luis Fabiano have stalled this week, after Jose Maria Del Nido, the President of the Spanish club, dismissed the Rossoneri's €14million bid for the striker as ‘ridiculous’.

Even though talks are expected to resume next week, Sky Sport Italia reports that Milan general manager Adriano Galliani could turn back to Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.

Galliani had apparently sounded out the Giallorossi over the availability of the 25-year-old earlier this month, before lodging a formal offer for Fabiano.

And, it is suggested that the Diavoli are prepared to put €16m plus the services of 22-year-old winger Ignazio Abate on Roma’s table in order to lure the Montenegrin international to the San Siro.

However, Vucinic is also a target for English clubs Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea, with press reports claiming the Blues are ready to splash out €25m to bring the striker to London.

I played football, reserve for fourth division team in Indonesia, a local team, and I KNOW how it feels when fans scream for someone else. I know I'm no CR9 or Kaka', but I always feel the pain when the fans didn't appreciate my ability or contributions at all.

Incompetent, that is the word. At least bring some good young player like Neymar from Brasil, and insert Fabiano, or something. The American CB is also a joke. Yes, an ok player, but to think he is a some kind of a solution for Milan is just a signal that we are on a new bottom. 10 years ago it would be impossible to think such player will be in Milan's first 4,5 CB's.

And not to mention the ammount of "work" Galliani does in serie a marlet - 0. When Moggi was on court he said Berlusconi asked him to work with Milan, just before the calciopoli. We had no luck aguess.

You always post a story of yours, speculations, and wrote it as if it is the truth. This is only the example. Not to mention hundreds of other subjective paragraphs you have written. Of all the members here, maybe you are the one who has less right to criticize my post, subjective or not.

No no no , he is a good player but a 7 - 10 goal a season player at best we need a 25 goal a season man and he has never impressed me consistantly bad choice.

If Milan really are going through the courts to get Luis Fabiano for an insultingly low fee, then Susy Campanale is ashamed



Lord knows the Milan hierarchy have been embarrassing lately, but this really does take the cake. First they declare Luis Fabiano is their only transfer target, then refuse to raise the offer above a pathetic – by today’s standards - £12.5m for the Confederations Cup top scorer and number one Brazil striker. Now it emerges they may well be surreptitiously taking Sevilla to court via Rio, the company that owns 65 per cent of Fabiano’s contract. This is not cool.

When clubs start resorting to such dirty tactics, it feels deeply wrong and what’s more impossible suddenly to decry the behaviour of other sides, as Milan so famously did when Real Madrid tried to tap up Kaka in recent years. It is particularly unforgivable when Luis Fabiano would have been available for around £16m – hardly a huge figure – and the Rossoneri just pocketed £56m for Kaka.

That is money, by the way, that has not been spent at all. Oguchi Onyewu arrived on a free transfer, Thiago Silva was signed in January, while all the other newcomers like Massimo Oddo, Ignazio Abate and Davide Di Gennaro are returning from loan spells. Having lost Kaka, Paolo Maldini, Philippe Senderos and Andriy Shevchenko over the summer, it is no time to be penny-pinching like this. It’s embarrassing for what was once the biggest club in Europe to be massively out-spent by Genoa and Palermo. If they can balance the books, why can’t Milan?

Let us not even get started on the lack of world class reinforcements in defence or the inexplicable presence of Giuseppe Favalli. Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi aren’t just running this side into the ground, they are sullying its image at home and abroad. I never thought I’d say this, but at the moment I am embarrassed to be a Milanista.

As optimistic as a lot of people are saying to be and saying that they are tired of negative posts , READ THIS and remain optimistic its all true there is no lies and Milan are fast becoming a club nobody will want to deal with , if you went into a car dealership and tried to buy a car for £5000 when it costs £13000 you wouldnt get it and if you kept going around to dealerships in the area word would soon get arount that you are joke no1 would do business with you and you would be not let set foot on a car dealership.
