It has been a bad day!

Santos has gone to Febenanche, Fabiano's agent has now dispelled a Milan move, and now we are being linked with Eto'o, a move which will almost certainly not work due to his asking price (which will be higher than anyone we have chased so far, and will probably involve Pato, and his masisve wages)......

Somewhat intrigued by the comments that Dzeko may sign for Milan soon.... Seems ridiculous but I hope you are right!

Despite Kaka’s departure for Real Madrid and a lacklustre transfer campaign, Milan's new boss, Leonardo, is in buoyant mood ahead of the start of the new season.

The Rossoneri finished ten points adrift of Inter last term, and seem to have fallen further behind their city rivals this summer.

While Milan have only signed USA defender Oguchi Onyewu in addition to a couple of young prospects, Inter have brought in South American trio Diego Milito, Thiago Motta and Lucio. Plus Cameroonian hitman Samuel Eto’o looks set to fill the gap left by Barcelona-bound Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Inter were already strong and have now further strengthened their squad with new players,” Leonardo admitted to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“But if Milan have all their players available, we will be able to fight for the top places in Serie A. I believe in it, we can make our fans dream.”

Milan are currently touring the USA and will take on Inter in a friendly match on July 26 in Boston.

This may be true, but only in the case of last season.... These players Leo is referring to are just getting older and therefore less competent. I feel that the coach himself needs to be more vocal in regards to our transfer plans.... It was like getting blood out of a fr&^gin rock to force MGT to even get a freebie..... Surely, leo can't be satisifed with the group he has at the moment, considering the hefty expectations Berlu puts on him becuase he already has a great group of "champions."

Girondins de Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh no longer believes Arsenal will make a move to sign him this summer, despite manager Arsene Wenger's confirmation of his interest in the Moroccan.

Chamakh has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including the Gunners, Sunderland, Blackburn Rovers, Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham.

The Moroccan has claimed in the past that Arsenal are the least advanced club in talks for his signature, and when asked by French newspaper L'Equipe if a move to the Emirates was possible, he said, "I don't really believe it much any more."

Chamakh still wants a departure from Bordeaux, adding, "My bosses [at Bordeaux] are trying to convince me to stay,

"But for me, [moving is] a risk that I'll take. It's my dearest wish."

Whether Chamakh has heard Arsenal boss Wenger's latest comments is unclear, as the Frenchman has gone public over a possible move for the Morocco international.

"We keep an eye on him," he told the club's official website yesterday.

"He is one of the players that we will follow and if we went for a striker then he would be one of the possibilities."

Why can't we go for him? Surely he is cheaper, and fits the bill..... By the way, alot of Arsenal's clever like this one pick-ups turn out to be great and have since left the club for greater targets.....

Perhaps, but it is no good that we are chasing Eto'o and wasting MORE valuable time when we are only going into the chase with half the resources needed!

If you look back on my posts I said 2 weeks ago that we will not pay the money for Fabiano , and prob next go after Eto only to say his wages are to high and this will drag on until sept so no signings , I honestly do not mind and I would totally understand if the MGT came out and said that we have not enough money to make significant signings rather than being strung along and getting our hopes up ...I said It Eto will drag on for all of august and no Eto so no signing I just want the truth thats all .

Milan director Adriano Galliani is set to fly to London and meet with Luis Fabiano's representatives Rio and Stellar Group in an attempt to salvage talks for the Sevilla striker.

Earlier today, the Brazilian's agent Jose Fuentes claimed the deal was dead and he slammed Milan for their conduct regarding the proposed transfer. However, Sky Sport Italia claims Galliani will have one last shot as he tries to kick the move forward.

The report suggests Galliani will fly out to London on Wednesday morning to meet with Stellar Group chiefs. The agency holds 65 percent of Luis Fabiano's rights and the Italian chief wants to work a strategy that can help resolve the problems surrounding the deal.

So far, Milan have only offered Sevilla €14million for the hitman. This has been met with a storm of criticism from both the Spanish club and the player's agent Fuentes. The Rojiblancos described the initial offer as ridiculous and negotiations threatened to turn into a political row.

Galliani is now trying to use some diplomacy and he will speak with Stellar Group in order to find a conclusion to the deal. Voices claim the Italian will apply pressure and use a clause which stipulates that Sevilla have to accept a bid over €12m.

Neither Milan nor Galliani have confirmed the London trip reports, but speculation is rife as he is not in the USA for the team's friendly tour.

If this is a argument over 5 million dollars or so, then MGT should be ashamed. After 100 million euro in sales gained, we can't afford a 20 million purchase? It comes to ask questions about how much of that cash was really used to "balance books!" If there is little left after doing that, then what kind of ridiculous financial state were we in before?

I acctually dont care anymore if they use that contract thing to bring in Fabiano,just get the freaking guy already!

I dont care if our relationship with Sevilla will be cold,its not like we buy a player from them every year,its taken to long now,Fabiano must come now and Galliani should bring Sevilla's ass to court,i mean why not?If there is something in the contract that should allow Fabiano to join us for 12 million,then why paying more if thats not needed?

Sevilla are the ones who are not respecting the contract and they are wrong,the only thing i dont understand is why Fuentes(agent of Fabiano)is bashing Milan in the press for being cheap,he should bash Sevilla for not respecting the contract....right?

So this makes me wonder that there is acctually no contract-clause,because if there was a clause then Fabiano and Fuentes would have bashed Sevilla and taken them to court weeks by now for not accepting the offer as they really want to come to Milan.....so i dont get it....???

what? Better than no one?! Surely, you have seen Boriello play, and know he is far from clinical, whilst NOT applying the same aerial pressure as the likes of Amauri..... How many chances does the bloody guy want?

Obviously we can't have Borri lining up in our starting XI next season, and clearly Inzaghi can't play all season long! So the solution? Get another striker...... If we are close to getting Fabiano, then by all means push hard and don't be ***** Galliani!

The agent of Sevilla forward Luis Fabiano yesterday claimed that his client’s move to Serie A giants Milan is unlikely to happen after the Spaniards scoffed at the Rossoneri’s €14 million offer, insisting that the player is worth at least €20m.

But Milan lawyer Leandro Cantamessa has painted a completely different picture this morning.

“We think that the €14m we have offered represents the value of the player and we are sticking with our stance,” he told reporters outside the Lega Calcio headquarters.

“We are in no hurry and have no intention of changing our mind, but are nonetheless optimistic.

“The transfer market will still be open for a long time and we hope that we will find an agreement in the end.

“We hope that Sevilla will lower their demands, [vice-president Adriano] Galliani is personally dealing with it and we are confident.”

But press reports in Italy today suggest that Milan could turn back to Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, despite being rebuffed by the German champions last month.

“No one ever said that Luis Fabiano is our only objective…” concluded Cantamessa.

Someone make up their bloody mind and give us a straight answer! How about we go for a compromise, and pay exactly between what Milan want to pay, and Sevilla demand! How about 17 million? Either way, the consequences of playing wiht the inaccurate Boriello all season long over the fuss of 5 million is ridiculos!
