his performances as an am are weak but as an orthodox mid he plays well, like inert game in 1st derby. It's his best role but he wants to play as am.

I agree i was at that derby during time Pirlo was injured Seedorf played great then, hopefully he can be convinced to play there consistently if we dont get someone else there

I'll tell you why i hate him. He thinks he is Gods gift to Milan, and that dumb goal celebration.

What the **** is that?

Overall, a good performance against a team that's a good bit better than any Milan will face in Serie A this year. I don't put much stock in the results of preseason one way or the other, so I'm happy.

Just a few points:

The only starter who played badly, I thought, was Oddo. He was okay defensively, but his crosses and passes definitely need to improve. Pirlo didn't play up to his normal standard, but that will come.

With Pirlo in the lineup and Seedorf playing back, Ronaldinho didn't have to come back and get the ball. That needs to be the case all the time. He's still magic when he gets the ball in front of the box, but he shouldn't have to bring it up the pitch.

I thought Seedorf was playing extremely well even before the goal. When he plays, that's where he should be playing. Doesn't look like his knee injury was too serious, but I would imagine he'll be held out Sunday anyway. We'll see.

I liked what I saw from Di Gennaro and Abate. I think as the season goes along they'll be valuable players. I thought Zigoni showed better of himself tonight too. Still a long way from being ready, but he does look like he has some ability.

I thought Gooch played very well again. I liked the composure he showed on that ball down in the corner. And can you imagine how that place would have exploded if he'd been able to put that late header in the corner of the net instead of just wide -- in front of a crowd of 70,000 in his hometown! Oh, man, that would have been awesome! Those kind of things will come though.

Seemed to me like he intercepted a ton of passes in midfield and was involved in some nice creative plays.
