dude please don't be biased. if you remember at the end of last season there were a poll in milano and mostly 89% agreed on selling pirlo. this guy is no longer useful for milan and after the confideration cup there were talk about him losing his place in italian national team... his Salary is 6 mil net (12 with taxes). unlike the players like seedorf kala there is a demand on pirlo so why not sell him when you can or you have to stick with him and pay him until the end of his contract and he will ask for contract extension. thats pure financial analysis.

on the other side pirlo is no longer pirlo. he is still a good player but he is no longer the player that milan needs. he often loses the ball which leads to a counter attack and goals. we need to change our style of play so pirlo sale is a must. we need 3 midfielders not a midfielder and 2 guards.

bosingwa is one hell of a back he had the job of marking messi almost one on one in the champions league in both legs aganst barca, if we would get 18 mill and bosingwa our LB situation would be solved

With AC Milan star Andrea Pirlo constantly being linked with a move to Chelsea, Sao Paulo midfielder Hernanes has been touted as a possible replacement.

However, the Brazilian's agent, Federico Pena, has stated that the Rossoneri have not made a move for his client.

"Officially, no representative of Milan has spoken to us, but Milan is a dream for him" he explained to Sky Sport on Sunday.

"His value can only be decided by Sao Paulo, but I think €13-14 million. Barcelona tried last year, however, at that time Sao Paulo had no intention of selling."

The player's representative also indicated that other Serie A sides have previously shown interest in the 24-year-old.

"There were also discussions about Juventus before they bought [Felipe] Melo
and also from Inter."

ok, i am a bit biased, but i totally accept that Pirlo isnt the player he once was. Losing his spot on the Italian team would be interesting, because he seemed to be Italy's second? best player after Rossi. Ronaldinho however HAS lost his spot on the Brazil team for now.
my problem with Dinho is that he is lazy as all hell, and really doesnt seem to care. he knew that he was going to be Milan's star this upcoming season. i was cool with the Kaka sale cause i thought Dinho would be a more than adiquate replacement. despite all of the pressure on him to be the player he has the talent to be, Ronaldinho showed up to preseason overweight and out of shape.
in the games so far, he has had two or three games where he has played pretty well, and others where he has been horrible. in all of them he has lacked speed and in some his passing has been horribly off. and that really doesnt seem to bother him too much. that is a problem. if we put all of our hope in him this upcoming season, we will be disappointed.
if a good sale offer for Pirlo comes in, we kinda have to take it. I know that and i accept it. however, what he has done for Milan is far far greater than what Dinho has done. There are many players on the team that would do anything for him and have been through thick and this with him. players like Gattuso, Nesta, Ambro, Zambro, Inzaghi, and Seedorf. Those guys are still the core of this team, and selling him would affect morale on the team. he is still a good player, just not a great one. I would buy Hernandes this year and rotate them and give Hernandes the spot for good when and if he proves he is better.
Dinho seems to lack the drive to improve himself from where he currently is. he seems like he would rather spend his time partying than becoming the player he would need to be for us. if we could sell him and buy G. Rossi, he could play the same position and add so much pace and a fire to win. he isnt as talented, but no one is. he would add much more to the team though

Hilarious....despite what is happening Berlusconi is still saying the same old crap. Even if we end up getting relegated, he'll probably still come out and say that we're the best club in the world, and if we only got 30 more points, we'd be champions of Italy.

actually, some posters have become so discouraged and have posted much fewer already. i have noticed that this thread only gains a few pages these days, unlike the amazing number of 20 pages a few weeks back. at this rate, it would be even more shameful if we would still have no major signing when it hits 10,000 posts.

I don't see Chelsea offering Bosingwa and 18 million either. If it happens, I would take it. Not that I don't want to keep Pirlo, but I don't see us keeping him. I would hate to see Pirlo leave for something like 5 million, but that might as well happen as the management seem to want to get rid of him desparately. I don't know what Berlusconi and Galliani have been smoking recently, but looks to me, they are trying to get rid of everyone that is useful and keep everyone that is useless.

Damn. I just want the summer to be over with and we will start the season. Soon, I guess I will want the season to be over with and I will start looking forward to the next season (or summer). Damn.

another thing ronnie lost his spot to kaka. and trust me you will see him present at WC2010. ronnie still got his weight in brasil never write him off. time will tell.

18 mil + loan bosingwa with an option to buy (price 10 mil) is a good trade for both parties

look, i totally agree that if the right deal is offered we should take it. however, we should be able to buy players without having to sell our other good players. i hope im wrong but i just have a very strong feeling that Ronnie will fail this year and that is what will hurt us the most. he is slow, and he losses a lot of balls. he tries to do things he is no longer physically able to do, and he tries to make things look fancy instead of making the simple pass that is there. i hope im wrong about him...

I didn't really watch Lazio too many times last season. Is Di Silvestri as good as everyone says he is? I was also wondering if it would make sense for Milan to just make a triple bid for Ledesma, Di Silvestri and Pandev for Oddo + Cash.

Di Silvestri is both young and very talented, i would love to have him, Pandev has talent, he is good but not great. Ledesma is ok, but not rally all that consistent. If we good get a decent price for them + get rid of oddo, i think i would do the deal, it would add some depth that we are currently lacking
