My personal suspicion is that Kaka's dad shops him around (esp to Real Madrid) every summer and then comes back to Milan with the best salary offer he can get. Then we're forced to match it, or else his son will ask to leave. How else can you explain all those ridiculous flirtations with Real Madrid while he was under contract with us.

From memory none of this happened with Pirlo. I dont think it's fair to compare the two.
The diff is that there are actually TEAMS who wants Kaka where as there is not any team who wants to sign Pirlo. Heck, if Carlo is still the coach in Milan, I doubt Chelsea would even make this offer.

So? It's the players intention that matters. Did Maldini ever come to Milan asking for a salary increase because Man Utd were offering so much? Did Gattuso ever come asking for his salary to be equal to what Bayern were willing to pay him?

Remember what the Man City intermediaries said about Kaka's dad---all he asked about was money, how much they were going to pay his son---that's it. And if Milan really wanted to push his transfer, we'd have forced him to leave for Man City. Instead, we left it up to him. And when he didn't go and pledged his love for the club, we were all fooled....until of course Real Madrid came calling. In my book, both Sheva and Kaka were traitors----but then again, it's a matter of opinion.

Its funny how, some of you are calling Kaka and Sheva traitors, while nobody is calling Berlu one. Actually, can Berlu be consider a traitor while also being the owner????

Hey, people have differences of opinion. You were the one who kept asking again and again, whether people consider Pirlo a traitor and why not. Why ask when you know what answer you will get.

We can have differences of opinion, but we're all Milan fans all the same! : )

Hey guys, haven't posted for a while due to an electricity blackout at my place lol! Hope you have all been good.....

As for Pirlo, it would not seem plausible to sell him and get money plus Pizarro, then use that to trade for Fabiano! I am sure we have the cash already to buy Fabiano, and perhaps pay extra on a performance deal next season...... Sevilla is in a selling mood and will crumble at 18 million plus some incentive! Can't believe Hernanes hasn't arrived either, regardless of whether Pirlo leaves or not. Considering how other clubs have been notching prices up for us, Pirlo's asking price seems very low.....

Also, dissapointed to see Berlu come out once again and claim we are still the best, whilst acting very naive about our lack of transfers.....

ONLY A FEW WEEKS NOW TO CLOSURE OF TRANSFERS!

Berlu seems to be a president/patorn who doesn't even know anything about the club during the last two years..... He is stuck in the past!

Oh, for the love of God and Berlu's insanity please no!

Milan Eye Roma Striker Julio Baptista As Luis Fabiano Alternative – Report
The Rossoneri are keen on the Brazilian hitman if their second attempt at Luis Fabiano Fails...
3 Aug 2009 09:26:51

Milan have turned their attention to Roma striker Julio Baptista, who they see as an alternative to Sevilla's Luis Fabiano.

The Rossoneri's striker search is still ongoing. Reports in Italy and Spain claim Ernesto Bronzetti has been sent to Seville for one final attempt at the 2009 Confederations Cup top scorer. However, if that fails, Baptista will be the next target.

Il Corriere Dello Sport claims the former Real Madrid man is being targeted by Milan. The San Siro-based giants have already made contact over his availability, but no official offer has been made.

'The Beast' represents a more affordable option for Milan than Luis Fabiano, with voices around Trigoria claiming that he could join them for around €9 million, which is around half of what Sevilla are asking for Fabiano. However, Baptista has claimed he is in no mood to leave Roma, a statement backed up by his agent on Saturday.

On the other hand, the capital club are willing to cash in on him and are open to offers. As part of a possible deal, Milan will offer money plus the services of highly-rated midfielder Ignazio Abate.

I read somewhere someone saying "if we get Zarate".

The thought of that is just absolutely orgasmic. He is incredible. He is the best striker out there, and yes he is better than Milito. Don't forget there is also Aguero who is a great player lurking out there. Both of these players are under 23 and both are going to be really expensive.

Damn now I actually have reinstilled some hope in me that we can get Zarate...damn... I'm obviously going to end up disappointed as we seem like we're going to sign Fabiano (who is nooooo where near Zarate)

If I have a choice, I would have say no to both of them.
Not saying they are not talented but just not the right type for Milan at the moment.

Fabaino will score goals but he is bascially an older version of Pato. While Hunter is the Dutch version of Gila.

Both of them will score but they need a very strong midfield supplying balls to them, in Hunter's case-wingers.

Personally, I think Milan should stick with playing counter-attacking football next year. And set Pato, Borreillo and Abate free upfront. With a midfield of Flamini-Gattuso and Janku. NO need for creative players(like Dinho) as the rest of the team just aint good enough to play possession football.

Thus the lineup will be:

Abbaitti
Antonini-T. Silva-Nesta-Zambro
------Flamini-Gattuso-Janku
Abate-----
---------Borreillo-----Pato

Since I was the one who brought up Zarate and is getting you excited for nothing.
There is only one thing I can do, I think Milan should sign Toni or Veiri as target men, as both men are cheap, available, Italian whom stated they love MIlan, and WERE ONCE UNDER 23 yrs old.

Mate, gooch impressed with recent form against top quality opposition (Torres etc.).... Sounds like the Senderos deal right? NO. Gooch played well for Standard Liege, whilst every Arsenal fan I knew acknowledged that Senderos was crap and happy that he left!

The Beast? He was not been great last season and is ageing, and having him even as a second option is scary!
