Clearly the lack of money they invested now the last years is a sign he won't pump in as much, not strange considering how much he lost of his fortune.

Don't listen to everyone praising him as the saviour. He was in fact not a starter for the whole of last season. He's got great athletism and a good offense, but the reason he was benched was because he couldn't defend well. Clearly more exciting than Oddo though, whom can't defend nor attack.
Pretty much yes to both paragraphs.

About Di Silvestri, he's no way a saviour of any kind to us, but he does have the potential to be great. However, I read someone say he's like Santacroce (in terms of where he is and could be), which I totally disagree with. Santacroce, Bochetti, Santon, Motta, all these guys are developing much faster than Di Silvestri at this point and are all on the verge of breaking through, unlike Di Silvestri. I really want us to test Albertazzi more personally. Given Santon was his understudy at youth levels there must be some potential there and more than anything I want to see what he's actually capable of.

Yes, only if Milan plays a running game than a possession controlling game like they do over the past decade.

As Abate, DiGennaro, Pato, and Borreillo are all players with speed and dribbling skills(not to the level of Messi but good enough).
Then you still have Pippo to fill in the Center striker role here and there.

Also with a midfield of Flamini, Gattuso, Janku, Ambro, Cardacio and even Strussur. They might not be creative like Pirlo, Dinho or Seedorf, but they run and is willing to run. On top of that Janku and Flamini are players who have a good shot from 30 yards out, they just don't shoot it enough.

To be honest, a dream summer mercato would be to buy hernanes (he has a cheap tag this season, but seeing hhim play in previous season gives me the guarentee that his tag will double by the end of next season) anyways, hernanes, huntelaar because honestly real madrid sort of do owe us a favor, plus he has no place in that team. Instead of stacking up the midfield with all these different prospects i say we buy hernanes and since were taking him in at a cheap price i say we also go for sneijder since we were in some sort of contact with him previiously, anyways another cb incase anything happens to nesta and A GK.
So, hernanes, huntelaar, sneijder, a cb and a gk. Definitely put is into a competitive level again, but then i woke up from my dream. lets face it this isnt the year to buy just be content with one or two of those players and let life go on, nexxt season hope for the better!

First of all thats one game against Spain. Actually,Torres is not Torres of Pool when he plays for Spain b/c Spain plays a passing game while Pool plays counter game which suits Torres better.

man no one is called traitor here. its something you need to know. when you have a superstar and he leaves there will be reactions. but let us get back to the issue. football is like any other business and people move where they feel they can progress in their careers and make more money as well. never tell me maldini baresi or anybody else. when you consider the salary of maldini you will see that no 40 years old player in history of football was making money like maldini. just put loyality aside. football is not a hobby for players its a career.
come if maldini were playing for lecce would he survive 25 years?
same goes for del piero, totti, raul .... etc there is no such thing called loyality and love for the club. as long as you are making him satisfied as long as he loves you. kaka's case is pure financial 9 mil + 1 for digao 2 houses and 3 cars and tickets to brasil. that was his contract.
Same goes for pirlo, gattuso, ambrosini and any player.

I don't consider sheva, kaka or pirlo(if he leaves) traitors because they all served us well while we did have them and we made the money when we had too. don't forget we sold sheva when he was 28 going on 29 or 27 going on 28? kaka is around the same age, that's when a player begins to die down or is in there prime and tbh sheva was our best sale and the time we sold him was also great thinking (for once) from our management, we sold him for a good price and that price dropped more then 3/4 2 years later, too bad we didnt bring in anyone good from that money unless pato was bought with his sale..

I still am not confident for Borriello, and someone will probably come in to replace him later...... As for the LB position, we have plenty who can run and provide corsses, but are Antonini and Janko's defensive skills good enough? For me Antonini eithe plays a good game of attack or defense, but never puts them together!

The running game based on counter attack. Thus most of the time, Gattuso, Janku, Flamini as midfielders will be camp outside of the box.
Milan won't be attractive to watch but sure will win games. As I don't think there is any defense in Series A that have the speed to catch Pato, Abate and Borreillo.

The thing with Borreillo is that he is not a poacher box striker like Pippo or RVN or Gila. Despite being a big man, he is actually more a movement striker someone needs speed to build up his run and power. Having said that, he does need to work on his finishing skills though.

Not saying they are not talented but just not the right type for Milan at the moment.

Fabaino will score goals but he is bascially an older version of Pato. While Hunter is the Dutch version of Gila.

Both of them will score but they need a very strong midfield supplying balls to them, in Hunter's case-wingers.

Personally, I think Milan should stick with playing counter-attacking football next year. And set Pato, Borreillo and Abate free upfront. With a midfield of Flamini-Gattuso and Janku. NO need for creative players(like Dinho) as the rest of the team just aint good enough to play possession football.

Thus the lineup will be:

Abbaitti
Antonini-T. Silva-Nesta-Zambro
------Flamini-Gattuso-Janku
Abate-----
---------Borreillo-----Pato

For godsake please no more janku. i notice you guys stick to janku. i mean why ???? for the goal he scored in supercup ? or for the load of games he made us suffer come on please ship kalac, kala, janku and seedorf.
i mean come on, there is a place for janku in the starting 11 and no place for ronaldinho ?

flamini-gattuso-janku what is this super boring-unable football you will ever watch. one cant pass and cant shoot. one cant stop tackling and one cant play football and if he were alone on the flank he will cross to the other side of the town.

As I say, it's a difference of opinion. WHen a superstar leaves, it will polarize a club's fans--some will think he was right to leave, some that the club didnt do enough to keep him, and others may think the player betrayed the club.

Either way, we'll all have our own takes on the situation, so let's move on. Now Berlusconi, do something, we're nearing 10,000 posts!!

Don’t Write Milan Out Of The Scudetto Race - Fedele Confalonieri
The Rossoneri's poor summer has been defended by one of Berlusconi's highest officials...

Silvio Berlusconi's right-hand man, Fedele Confalonieri, believes the Milan squad is good enough to challenge for major honours, despite a lamentable pre-season.

Confalonieri, who is chairman of Mediaset - the company owned and controlled by Berlusconi - feels the Rossoneri are in good shape for a decent campaign. The Italian dignitary is confident Adriano Galliani and Berlusconi will steer the club in the right direction, despite a storm of criticism regarding the club's transfer strategies this summer.

"Milan are not to be thrown away," Confalonieri told Il Corriere Della Sera.

"Berlusconi and Galliani are not out of their heads. They deserve respect and trust. They have given much to Italian football."

The media mogul couldn't help but take a swipe at bitter city rivals Inter, and he has defended the sale of Kaka.

"We have more money compared to Inter and we have more desire to spend. Of their four Scudetti, two of them were gifted," added Confalonieri.

"Kaka? He is a great player. He likes [money] and he has gone to Madrid to get more of it. Kaka is no saint, and Berlusconi is no monster."

The thought of that is just absolutely orgasmic. He is incredible. He is the best striker out there, and yes he is better than Milito. Don't forget there is also Aguero who is a great player lurking out there. Both of these players are under 23 and both are going to be really expensive.

Damn now I actually have reinstilled some hope in me that we can get Zarate...damn... I'm obviously going to end up disappointed as we seem like we're going to sign Fabiano (who is nooooo where near Zarate)
You can't say that. The only reason fabiano isnt as highly rated as zarate is because when fabiano was under 23 there was no hype around him what so ever, yet he was stil a GREAT striker, where as turning 29 he gets the name he's always wanted and hes stil playing for a club like sevilla. heck, id just buy him to give his last 3 years of playing a good end, and because its not like were buying another r9 at 33 who gained 40 pounds since his prime and couldnt run, were buying a player in good shape, regardless his age. but i agree with you that zarate is better then milito, and is in footballs top strikers.. I'm still praying we buy huntelaar, young and will do us well for this season, next season will be a completely different story?

lol i cant beleive were relying on players like janku in our midfield now? sorry its just im going back to last year or maybe 2 years ago? wen i hadnt made a forum account but remember reading through summer mercato and transfer posts seeing us being llinked with the biggest lbs, rbs, cbs, gks, mids and strikers in the world.. now i feel as if we just get linked with whats left over or who cant fit into the top clubs in europe.. Fabiano from sevilla at 29, i do like him dont get me wrong but we could do better.. Players like baptista and toni.. cmon if were not gna start getting players like dzeko and hernanes and all those others then just dont buy anyone because 5 players with 8m price tags is much more of a waste then buying two or even just one player worth 40m. all im saying is theres two classes in football, top class players and no class there is no inbetween for clubs like milan, we need the best or noone... looks like id take noone for now though :P just to prove my statement... We bought ronaldinho, ronaldo, oliveira, onyewu and others, im SURE this equals to kakas price tag when we bought him, look what he's done for us, and look what they've done for us? think about it.
