you serious? there was incredible hype around him. Fabiano and Diego where the hottest property in brazil around 03 and 04. i think the Porto transfer killed the hype though.

Either way, we'll all have our own takes on the situation, so let's move on. Now Berlusconi, do something, we're nearing 10,000 posts!!
The thing is that, in todays games, I don't think there will be players who will only play for one club or two clubs in their career, as the money factor is all too great nowadays for both the players and the clubs.

We can all admire guys like Maldini, Baresi, Pugol, DP, Gerrard and even Totti. Since they all came out from the youth of top clubs and sticks with the team. But like Lebanese said, the club gave them what they wanted and more, salary, fame, championships....but what if Maldini startd at Bari, or DP began his career in Torino instead of Juve, or Totti is actually from Belurus and began his career at a local side there, they probably moved on to bigger teams or different leagues.
As for Kaka, can you blame him for making the decision as it is clear the Berlu wants to sell anyone who is worth something as he wants to cash in and cut wages at the same time. Esp now since Milan is literally forcing Pirlo to Chelsea. I am not saying Kaka is the victim here as I think he is fine with staying or leaving Milan.

Have you heard rumours about Standard Liege's Steven Defour?

He is Reals plan B in case they can't sign Xabi Alonso from Pool. Ahead of Aquilani and De Rossi being C en D. (Marca)

If Xabi Alonso moves to Madris Liverpool would want Defour as a replacement.

And Milan is also rumoured to be interested in him as a replacement for Pirlo.

anyone can back this up?

For those of you who doesn't know him,

I think he could be the right replacement for pirlo but I'dd prefer Aquilani though. Allthough Aquilani is going to cost more.

Standard refused an offer from Everton 15 million euro, they want 20 so he isn't cheap either.

He is born 15-04-1988.

He resembles pirlo in style allthoug I'dd call him a good combination of Gatusso and Pirlo combining the grinta, workrate of Rino and technical skils of pirlo.
Despite his young age he is allready for 2 years captain of standard and that for a Flemish player. (While Standard is a French speaking club).

Omg. Our management has supposedly accepted a 15 million + Pizarro deal....
But we would then use him a swap deal + cash with Sevilla for Luis Fabiano. Bronzetti is supposedly on his way to Seville.(Sportmedia set, link)

Other transfer news:

It seems like Inter are going to get Sneijder with a loan deal worth 3-4 million and with a buy out clause of 18 mil. (Gazzetta.it,link)

Benitez really wants Aquilani and L'pool is offering 21 million for him (CdS, link)

EDIT: We havent "accepted" it officially, but we are seriously looking into it. Or so rumors say.

So apparently Chelsea have a transfer budget of £117 million. Why would we "give" them Pirlo for £8 million + a crap player like Pizarro who's worth £4 million? We should do like smaller clubs do to us and demand at least £25 million. We need to stop giving away players like we did with Kaká and Gourcuff and really charge what they're worth...

That being said, I'm still not in favour of selling Pirlo...

I went a week to Barcelona on a holiday, and it was great there, lots of pretty girls and i saw beatiful things, including the Camp Nou,when i was in Barcelona i was thinking about Milan, that they should have signed somebody already,so i was nervous to know who it was.I already was thinking about Hernanes,Fabiano etc.Because i thought Berlu&Galli should have done already something right...?....Then i went on the Internet for a quick look and i went straight to this forum....and i was blowed away by suprise: WE DIDNT SIGNED ****ING NOBODY>>???????????I felt miserable and thought: what the **** man?

How could we still signed nobody, then it went even better when i saw the Pirlo-Pizzaro rumour,i couldnt believe it,it just was getting worser.

But the most awful thing was that i didnt knew how we were doing in the Audi Cup,but the Spanish tv broadcastet some highlights and they first started with saying that Milan is looking confused without Kaka,so i thought: Dear god let it not be awful.....and then i saw the highlights and i saw as being butchered by Bayern with 4-1 and Boca also beaten us....really i thought it just couldnt get worse, whats next?

Actually there was alot of hype on Fabiano back in the day and if you remember when we signed Kaka he was saying "I hope whoever signs me can also sign Fabiano as he is a great player and friend of mine". He went to Europe and sucked to be honest. And you're right he's definitely no R99 because R99 scored goals for us no matter how fat he was and no matter how little he played. Fabiano isn't going to be the next R99, he's going to be the next Ricardo Oliveira (who actually was 26 when we got him, and Fabiano is 28/29). I really don't see why all of a sudden we are having this fetish for Fabiano.

Up front we have only Pippo, Pato and Boriello. Pippo is great but we all know that he wont be able to play week in and week out. That leaves Boriello + Pato and keep in mind our formation next year is going to be a 4-3-3 so that at least requires 2 strikers. Boriello is NOT good enough and is injury prone. Pato, I'm not sure if he's going to be the one to replace Kaka but I sure hope so. Also keep in mind that we have only one attacking midfielder in Ronaldinho (who might be good next season but will DEFINITELY not be consistently and that's a guarantee). We need TWO new attacking players not ONE. Both of which have to be players that can create goals from nothing. Ahh man we are so screwed next year....

Here is a thought, if Seville wants Pizarro like those reports claim. Then let Chelsea buy Fabaino for like Money+Pizarro, then send Milan an offer of Fabiano+money for Pirlo. Not the other way around. Gees, I can be a better Manager than Galli.

Selling Pirlo and still claims the squad is full of champions and Seedorf will play Pirlo's role and there is nobody like Seedorf as he is 4-time CL winner.

Then Milan will go out and sign Veiri and Toni who WERE ONCE UNDER 23.

Selling Pirlo and getting Ledesma AND Di Silvestri would be GREAT for me.

Ledesma is the same as Pirlo, only Pirlo is better of course.....i meant WAS better.Ledesma will not have the same long-passes as Pirlo but thats not needed in Leo's system. We need a dynamic midfielder who can control the game, and Ledesma is that guy,Pirlo has lost his pa ce.

Di Silvestri would be a awsome buy, even if we were healthy and just won the treble like Barca,he is always welcome because he is a source of talent. His physique is impossing and he also has that hunger and agressiveness in duels,he can do everything in front and in the back.Signing him and realeasing Oddo? That would be a dream move.

Di Silvestri isnt as far in develepment as Santacroce and Motta, thats true. But thats only because he doesnt get as much chances as the other talented guys and he also is frozen out of the Lazio squad nowadayas.....

I would also prefer Baptista ABOVE Fabiano anyday.Baptista can play in different roles,so when we have injury problems,he can be a back-up for the wingers,or he can even play as AM in a diamond midfield, despite Roma's worse season he had very good matches and he has the quality to mean something for us.He is also the guy that can give us the strength upfront that we look for and he can decide a match by himself.Great player in my opinion.

The beginning of the end was the CL win in 2007... Understandably cycles happen and they need time, but the problem was we didn't act soon enough. It was obvious back then that we were at an end of an era, given the age of our squad and how predictable we've become, and the poor domestic efforts for the past couple of seasons.

I really don't know if we are going to still remain in this downfall, but it can all change within 4 weeks. If we make a few moves in the market we can have a reason to wake up the next morning, to believe the sun is going to shine tomorrow... (that was so sad lol)

It might be a good deal but it does not really upgrade Milan or make Milan into a better team than now. And thats something we as fans must remember.

That will only happen if Milan sign someone better than Pirlo, another solid midfielder for depth, a starting FB, a CB for depth, and one starting striker.

Thats, 5 players and will actually cost about 100mil. A figure that Berlu will not pay.

I agree with you 100%.. Another oliveira. So much hype around him especially from galliani and berlu next sheva next this but they end up no next anything, just play a few games score a few goals. we do definitely need those type of strikers to make goals out of nothing, players like ibra or messi or any world class player.. you can't just get rid of kaka and settle with one striker capable of a few goals (fabiano) we need either 4-5 good players or 1-2 great ones. my suggestions are huntelaar, hernanes, sneijder gk/cb or just one really good striker (torres etc.) and a good mid. We cant rely on ronaldinho. he has a few good games and then goes down from there, not consistent. we need some1 like kaka who sets up all our plays or were skrewed, its either a player like him or 4 other players to set up those plays one man couldve done for us. dont know why we sold him, even for that money we shudve doubled it.. to be honest kaka was priceless.
