From the videos I've seen about him, Klaas doesn't seem like a fast striker. Does anybody have an idea about his speed?

The payment of 15mil (?) will be spread over 3 years.
If this is true, then there should be some more money left to get another player. Right?

As far as I can tell the deal is done, but it's not gonna be announced before after the medical which apparently is gonna take place thursday, due to the whole Cissokho circus.

Watching Milan's pre-season games so far, it seems that we should have plenty to be optimistic about. Why? Because Ronaldinho has been creating chances left, right, and center. He's been serving goals on silver plates for people, and the only people to score consistently as Inzaghi and Thiago Silva.

Pato was probably just tired from his Honeymoon, and Borriello is still rusty, I think he's low on confidence and hopefully we can bolster that so that he can come in and do a better job, because he's going to be an important part of this squad.

If this Huntelaar news is true, I think we'll see a far better Milan this season. I'm not about to say that our defensive problems are solved, or anything like that, but it really has more to do with the fact that in all our pre-season games, we've failed to really be able to control the attacking third. Even in the games where we have had the lion share of possession, we've still lacked sustained possession in the attacking third and that has put excessive pressure on our midfield to maintain possession and put undue burden upon our defense.

With a player like Huntelaar, pairing with a pacey striker like Pato, you get two very good elements to make our attack far less predictable, and to ensure pressure is lifted from the back line. Huntelaar will stay further forward, grabbing the attention of the main marking CB, while Pato's diagonal runs will force shifts from the second CB and/or the closest FB. Leaving more space for Ronaldinho, our attacking FB, and if the other team wants to commit a defensive midfielder to Ronaldinho, go ahead, because Pirlo will be behind him in the open space that he thrives upon.

I think a quality FB to compliment Zambrotta is needed, it will make Milan serious challengers for the competitions we're in. It's not that Seedorf, Janku, or Ambro are bad players. Quite the opposite, they are very good players, but I don't think they should be relied upon to be everyday starters. They are great for the various injuries, suspensions, and rotation that every successful squad has. Having them in the rotation, rather than playing every game will keep their legs fresher, and ensure Milan can really push for things.

Huntelaar's clinical finishing will hopefully give us the goals that we need. It seems Milan, in recent times at least, have been unable to score non-fantastic goals. Inzaghi's run of goals in the second half of the season underlined how important it is to get those ugly goals. Scoring a beautiful goal does not give you 1.5 goals, it gives you the same amount as a 40 yard belter.

I'm happy that Pirlo is staying, and that (fingers crossed) we actually sign Huntelaar. I think this will give a real boost to the squad, especially how highly regarded Pirlo is to this team.

I don't think we're done yet, but I think this is a step in the right direction.

he looks like a top signing anyone that can score 76 goals in 92 appearances for ajax is a top striker. we still need a left back and another creative midfield player and we still have the majority of the primavera squad on Milan books and a excess goalkeeper lots of work to do in such a small period of time.

The worst option we could get I think. The transfer fee says it all, we wanted cheap and we got cheap.

Anyway, I hope he proves me wrong next season.
how so? the biggest team that Gilla had success at was Parma. He was ok at a few other small Italian teams. Hunt was twice the Dutch league top scorer, for his club career, he has 265 apperiences, and 179 goals. that is very impressive. For Holland, he has 21 caps and 13 goals, again, extremely impressive. just for comparison, Pippo has a .486 goals per game average on the club level, and Hunt's is .675.

I agree. Also he was quite the hot property on the market in January. Surely, a few bad months at Real hasn't spoiled his quality.

Please Klass have a shower, comb your hair, brush your teeth and squeez any spots you might have just to be on the safe side in all seriousness i think if true Klass will be a very very good signing, lets hope we can still get a midfielder and a attacking FB

as much as we worry about defense this season, it should be better than last years... at the end we had Zambro-Favalli-Maldini-Janku. this year it would currently be something like- Antonini-Nesta-Silva-Zambro. that is close to 25 years younger as a unit, and with much more speed that would add quite a bit. If a top class FB is brought in i would be quite confident in the starting 4
