Latest rumours are suggesting that Lazio right-back Lorenzo De Silvestri (21) could join AC Milan in exchange for Massimo Oddo (33).

However, Oddo told TMW : "I don't know anything about that, nobody called me. I am an AC Milan player for now - we'll see what happens later. If things will change, I will talk about it".

Unfortunately we will never be able to buy Santacroce or Vargas. These players are starters in their respective teams and I highly doubt they will be willing let such young and promising players join their opponents. We will have to spend more than 15 million euros if we are to buy them.

ATM, I think that our CB positions are pretty solid in the following order:
Nesta Silva
Kaladze Bonera
Favalli Onyewu

I don't think we need to meddle around with this position unless and until Nesta retires or a really good player becomes available on the market.

Kaladze isn't as bad as people might think. Kaladze can be good at times as he has shown in the past. ATM moment he is more reliable than Onyewu because he has played with most of our CBs. CBs need to communicate and understand each other in order to play well. Hence, Onyewu is my third choice as he is still new. However, he can move up the order once he settles in and shows his quality. He has all the potential to do so.

AC Milan

Christian Abbiati, Kakha Kaladze, Massimo Ambrosini, Daniele Bonera, Gennaro Gattuso and Filippo Inzaghi are all recovering from minor knocks and will not play this match.

Coach Leonardo has left Dida and Clarence Seedorf out of his squad plans for this match.

why was seedorf, left out, is it a sign for things come?

The Oddo-De Silvestri swap has still not appeared in any major publications. We can hope, but not too much.

Frankly I find the link shocking.

We are linked with Vargas. Much better option.
I agree with picking Vargas over Bale.. although i've never seen bale play and frankly never even heard of him.. maybe im just behind on these things nowadays after milans poor season last year i havent really followed in the transfer market after they sold kaka because it broke my hopes down to zero.. but anyways ive been on top of milan news lately i still think we have slight hopes for next year.. REally all we need is a good lb and a good mid and a proper back up.

In my opinion Leonardo is already looking like a much better coach then Ancelotti was, although ancelotti never really had the team last year and milans been doing poorly in their friendlies under leonardos wing, his basics and just his over all understanding of the game puts me in a much more comfortable position trusting him as our coach next year, im pretty sure he'll do a great job if we get a few more replacements that are needed.

and I agree with Lebanese that KK n bonera should come before ONyewu. He's just like Senderos. However, one thing Onyewu has and none of our defenders had, was the ability to win headers... he was so useful to us up in attack towards the end of the game, in our of our pre-season games..however I don't think he'll be needed in defence.

Put onyewu as back up striker:P id put him upfront instead of boriello. tbh i WISH the deal for oddo - de silvestre goes through because oddos job is to cross the ball in the box yet whenever he crosses the ball i dont think ive ever seen one cross in the box its either over the net or 30 rows into the fans

That is crazy. If we are struggling, try something new: Put wingers like Abate on and get onyewu to drift foward..... Not as a permemenant striker~

Pretty amazing that they could get smashed like that. I watched their game against Aston Villa and even though they didn't win they looked pretty damn good. They completly dominated possession, which is something that you usuallz didn't see from Juventus, and it was only because of poor finishing from Iaquinta and Trezeguet that they didn't score at least once. And then they go and have a game like this...

About Dossena, he's really no good. I don't see the point in getting someone like him over Jankulovski, everyone knows Jankulovski is bad at defending, but there's absolutly nothing wrong with him when he goes forward. Dossena is even worse at defending than Jankulovski, he's a disaster for Liverpool and even worse for Italy, no thanks...

Anyway, think that we should rather use Thiago Silva as a striker than Gooch He's got an awesome technique and an excellent shot, he's already scored more than our strikers in the pre-season games!! He would honostly probably do pretty well at it...

They were starters for the respective teams. Right now Santacroce's position in Napoli looks doubtful as they signed the more experienced Hugo Campagnaro and it's unlikely Cannavaro (who is club captain) will be dropped.

In Vargas' case, he's not considered indispensible, and his agent has been welcoming offers all summer.

Also, please tell me you're joking about Kaladze. Surely you've seen him over the past year and in preseason so far. He's right now our worst CB by far.

Lol i was just kidding around, obviously onyewu cant play striker. but tbh nevrmind him drifting forward i cant see him in are starting line up this season.. If milan took him in there must be a reason, we'll c what place he has in our team when the season starts.. you never know what he has to offer
