In the Fiorentina match I don't think he looked like he was in bad condition. He didn't seem to hesitate to dive to tackle so maybe we can hope. He needs to regain match sharpness though.

Putting so much pressure on Albertazzi would be damaging for the club and player. Still, he is far better than Darmian, who quite honestly turns the ball over too much in defence. It is strange that Albertazzi would be so quickly promoted if he hasn't even feautured for Milan in friendlies yet!

We should seriously put up an Albertazzi thread. His progress over the next few months will be very interesting indeed! Reckon Milan will take Digao back? That would be funny, especially if Madrid bid for him as well!

From what I've seen in our last game, I am very satisfied with Nesta. I was worry watching him trying pretty hard, just like he always did before the long injury. That was a very nice moment for me, to see for the last time Nesta and Maldini played together. They just looked so solid like they were used to.

I really hope Nesta can fully recover but we still need a very good CB.

I would like that too, but if he did decently at Standard Liege, we could have a look at him....

Where did Maldini play when Nesta and Kaladze were the two full backs? Was he not at LWB, or just simply sitting on the bench?

Nest is a CB, I dont think I have seeing him play on the flanks. Kaladze did he was a LB, but while he was LB for Milan he played as CB for his country, so Milan decided to play him there too.

Yes, it was great to see those two play together one last time. Nesta is my all time favorite central defender, I really hope that we can still watch him play. Remember he's 33, it's the same age as Cannavaro when he won the Balon d'Or. And honostly Nesta is so much better than Cannavaro in my book, the perfect defender.

Next season will be MASSIVE for Nesta. We will all know by half way whether he is playing on or not, and this could be the judgment year for him. No pressure, just saying!

With all due respect, he barely played that day. Let's see how he holds up on a regular schedule next season before we pass any judgment on his condition.

Alessandro Nesta was pleased to pass unscathed through Milan’s friendly match with the Los Angeles Galaxy, and can finally see the light at the end of his injury tunnel.

The former Lazio man was a mere spectator last season and only made a brief cameo in a friendly against Tirana in October, struggling with chronic back problems before eventually going under the knife in February.

“I am happy because I feel good,” Nesta told the Rossoneri’s official website after playing 45 minutes against David Beckham’s side.

“I know who I was before the injury and [to reach that level is] my first objective now. I need to rediscover a bit of strength, but I am working on it.”

Milan drew 2-2 with the Galaxy, with the hosts' Alan Gordon and Bryan Jordan cancelling out Milan's Thiago Silva and Filippo Inzaghi strikes.

“The Galaxy have proved to be a good team, regardless of what is said about them,” said Nesta.

“It’s too bad we conceded from a set-piece. Sometimes we really need to get those centimeters we are missing, particularly on these occasions.”

I agree Lisa. Guys like Nesta are examples to all the players. He's clearly worked hard to regain fitness for the new season.
