Maltese_Charlie, any chance you think we can sign one of the Dutch players at Real?
As BRK said, there is a big possibility that a FB will come.
Even Mr Suma, the director of Milan Channel sounds very positive today that Milan will sign someone instead of Cissoko.

But I cannot say if he is Drenthe or somebody else.
My guess is on the Lazio player.

Anyone think we will see a signing in the last few hours of the mercato? I mean we still have an open Non-EU spot. So? Maybe a surprise is possible?

De Silvestri will come, God willing.

Grosso is available as well, but Juve have the upper hand there.

I would take De Silvestri over Grosso any day. But Grosso has "Milan signing" written all over him, when you consider his age and our management's fetish for former "champions." Juve could do us a favour.

I am not sure if all that noise is legit. There are no official statements, or even close to official statements, just some media speculation and doubtful interviews.

I think it's most likely we stay as we are. Although I would accept a defender with open arms.

Heard someone mentioning rumours about Luis Suarez from Ajax, or was it on milannews.it, a while ago?

I know little about him, but today he has scored 4 goals as Ajax beat Slovan Bratislava 5-0 in UEFA Europa League qualification.

First there's a lot of noise about Kaladze leaving and now Oddo has come out to say he'd be willing to move if a good offer came along. This might make it seem ideal to swap Oddo and De Silvestri, but it seems Lotito wants straight cash without any players. However, seeing these two leave would make for a positive change in the squad (as we'd lose some deadweight from the squad) and would open spaces for a signing (probably De Silvestri), maybe two.

hmm, maybe what I have should be called Gallianititis

Arildonardo, Luis Suarez is a young Uruguayan player who plays as a forward/winger. He was great in Uruguay and at Groningen did well enough to get Ajax's notice, where he's excelled. He's a good player (and has been linked to us as you said), but we probably don't have room for him if I'm honest.

yeah the first team is definitely good enough for champions league, and hopefully not sounding to biased, i am sure we can go and earn a respectable finish. As for keeping this squad for 38 games, i am not so sure...

and i am dying to celebrate a scudetto victory.

Same here, but you gotta wonder whether this team, with the same core of players who haven't won a scudetto and havent demonstrated any form of consistency since 2004-2005 can now win with a new, in-experienced coach?

I was hoping for a few key players and even getting rid of some so-called "champions" to add some degree of newness to the team. But well, as Berlusconi says, this is the team we have, so we all have to hope for the best. The first couple of months of this season will show our potential as either scudetto contenders, UCL spot contenders, Europa Cup contenders, or worse...

To recap, in 10932 posts. Milan had signed Gouch through free transfer, Roma as 3rd GK, T. Silva in Jan and Hunter in a semi package deal that sent Kaka to Real.
Milan also recalled Stoari, Abate, Di Gennaro and Oddo.
Milan also sent Mattioni, Sheva, Kalac and Senderous away
Nesta, Kaladze, Borreillo, Antonini , Gattuso and Bonera back from injury.

CL champ here we go.

It's been reported that Madrid and Inter have agreed upon Sneijder's transfer. The fee will be around 13 million. For a price like that I think we should try to buy him too. I've been admiring him since his Ajax days, and I believe he can be the suitable back-up for Pirlo, Seedorf, Dinho, or even claim one place in the starting 11.
