great goal, he really plays in an inzaghi style, and has great finishing in a 1v1

now when he gets back, if he gets back anyway, Leo will have a real headache having Hunterlaar, Borriello and Superpippo all available for the Striker role...
PS: Pato and Ronnie will be playing no matter what, as Pato is in a great form and Ronnie is doing good i think

also, don't think its an offside as shown in the Screenshot I posted(Down)

Now that's what consolidates his position as the Next SuperPippo

Inzaghi is old and his contract is out in 2010. It is still very possible we may give him one more year, but we can't really talk about him as a player. Borriello and Huntelaar on the other hand have a lot to prove. Especially the former.

Paloschi is going from strength to strength.

Inzaghi will play until he scores no more. he is super human.
rarely gets long injuries and still has incredible pace.. everything other "old" players do not have.

And besides, id rather him stay for as long as possible to help out Huntelaar and eventually Paloschi on the training pitch.

scoring 10+ goals when you're 36 years old in Serie A means something

Inzaghi still has alot to offer, on the pitch or in the training ground..

sure, he's not that young to play week in week out, but matches like this, he's the best option, and he showed it in pre-season, he's still hungy for goals

I don't want to bash Pipo but he hasn't had a long injury free season for almost five years now.
In fact if it wasn't for Dr Martens and physio Lieven Maesschaelck he wouldn't be playing anymore.

His wages are enormous, especially compared to final contribution. Is not clear if we will keep him or if he will move team to get more playing time.

He missed most of 2008/09 and have missed big parts of the season for years. Missed most of 2004/05 too, then we only had Crespo for many games.

No he don't. He got great timing, but he can't outrun almost anyone.

do you see him retiring after one of these injuries like most players his age or younger?
nope.

stop playing Football manager. He is very quick off the mark, due to his anticipation and reading of the game. Valuable traits that any young striker can be watch and learn just by training with him.

he can hang around till 50 for all i care.

I don't think he will move to another team. He will probably retire when milan doesn't want him anymore.

For me, having bought JKH and having Paloschi out on loan mean that its very unlikely milan will extend his contract. We have 3 of the same type of strikers in the team now so one has to go. Unless we keep Paloschi out for 1 more season else i don't think Pippo will be here for next season.

But Kris is right, he's not got pace, it's his timing and anticipation that gets him ahead of defenders. There's a big difference between anticipating and timing runs to get ahead of defenders and pace.

i have a feeling that alberto will have a huge season and i'm really looking forward to that.

but where is he supposed to play for milan now that we have huntelaar? huntelaar - pato is likely to last for years to come, that is if the dutch striker finds his usual goalscoring form which i expect him to do.

Most good teams have a few great strikers.... I think after Pippo retires, haing Pato/Hunter and Paloaschi wold be an effective combo, with one playing off the bench....
