Wonder what took us so long with Cardacio and Viudez? If they were good enough, we should've played them. If not good enough, then let them go. Worse thing to do would be to keep them hanging---neither here nor there.
I am still hoping for a fullback. Any chance for Rafinha still? |

Since he has talent why could we have just kept him on our U-21 squad for a year or two and see if we could develop talent. nevermind... that is a crazy idea

I didn't think it's official yet......but it looks like the announcement is the only thing that's missing.
Which means they would not be following up Oddo anymore. Can this get any more interesting and frustrating?

Oh man, Oddo's proving pretty difficult to shift. What problem does he have with playing in London? He can learn English just like Sheva
I just wished he agreed to the West Ham move and we did a deal for Behrami--always liked him since his Lazio days. |

And if we have to keep him as a backup or second backup for the RB position, that's ok for me (if that can allow Flamini not to be used as a RB ... because he doesn't want to play there anymore). |

BRAVO GALLIANI!!! A player you brought and that took non EU place and ****ed up last year for Thiago and this summer took one non eu place ( Viudez ) hasnt played at all and is now being RELEASED for nothing!! that is the way to go you incompetent money-laundrin' bastard!!!!! That is the way to professionally run a club like AC Milan, by making money for yourself without even thinking about your JOB which is Milans mercato. Bravo Galliani! I think Moggi fell off his chair from laughing.
Geo, I do not agree with you ( surprise ). I think Oddo has nothing to do in Milan and our coach shows it clearly. He is 3 levely below our needed standard and needs to be sold or terminated like Viudez and Cardaccio. At least we could have brought VdV or someone to help our in midfield more coz we DO LACK players and the long season will showe it. People are now amused by our one win and they forget we played with full team vs Siena. If again Rino or NEsta get injured, or just someone from more inportant players we dont even have to play untill the summer. And Cardaccio and Viudez could have been loaned or included in some deals with smaller clubs. But for that you need to work and think in an advance. While Galliani does nothing and solves his **** he did 2 days before the end. Go away from Milan!

I think Viudez and Cardaccio were pathetic attempts by Berlu and Galli to shut up some whineging who were complaining about too many old players. To have their contracts terminated, means that they were so bad that no other club wnated to buy them off us.....

To me personally Viudez looked exciting and full of potential. That said it was clear that their purchase was a cynical attempt at damage control. I would also like to again point out that this summer has made Ancelotti look like an absolute genius. People were pissing blood that he didn't let our supposed young guns play...but Abate aside to me they all seem not to the required level. Forza Carlo Ancelotti! Forza Kaka!

I'm not disappointed by Cardaccio and Viudez leaving, I wish them all the best. I actually see this as a positive sign for the future really. It's a sign that finally we're slowly undoing the mess that has built up over the past few seasons.
Needless signings with little to no positive aspects to them for players who really don't look likely to have a future with the club appears to be slowing. More importantly, players on the roster who aren't needed and aren't likely to feature in the future are also being removed. Viudez and Cardaccio never really looked like great players to me. Obviously they weren't given many chances, but when I saw them I wasn't convinced either had enough to reach the heights expected at Milan. Maybe I'm wrong, but I presume the management saw it in the same way. The fact we're trying to get rid of Oddo, have gotten rid of Kalac and don't look likely to keep Favalli, Kaladze and Dida for more than this season is a sign that there is finally some rejuvenation occuring in the squad. The amount of youth that's been purchased this summer also shows a new direction the club is taking. Finally, we're investing better in the youth sector and in the long term this will surely help us a great deal. I won't hold my breath until I actually see it, but certainly it would appear that very slowly we're heading towards a positive direction. |
