Indeed he did. Someone here has already pointed from our first game how Dinho whined way too often. He'd better focus on his job and let the referee does his. Anyway, I don't have a chance to browse the entire thread, but I was wondering on the 70+ mins, the camera showed that Berlu no longer sat beside Galliani. Does anybody know where did the Mr. We-have-a-squad-full-of-champions go?

If we don't sign anyone withing the next 48 hours............Berlusconi and Galliani really have burnt their brains. There is NO WAY that after seeing Jankulovski get burned over and over costing us goals, that we can't buy a replacement. No normal human being can possibly not do anything about it. |

Complete and utter humiliation. This was one of the worst defeats I have seen Milan take part in. And really, the reason wasn't the scoreline. If Inter did not take their feet off the gas in the second half, it could've been 8-0.
We showed no fighting spirit whatsoever. Our wingbacks were atrociuos. Yes, even the great Zambrotta was anemic---he his 32-33 years old after all, what can we expect? I understood the need to sell Kaka, given his wage demands, but I don't understand why no money was spent reinforcing the squad. All anyone ever asked for was a good fullback, an all action central midfielder, and a striker. All we got was Real Madrid's waste product (albeit a good one). The gap between us and other of Europe's top sides have increased over the years. Every summer was a chance to close that gap. What do we do? Praise our champions and find excuses. 2003: Won CL 2004: Embarrased by Depor, but won the league 2005: Embarrased by Liverpool 2006: Lost Sheva 2007: Won CL 2008: Not competitive in serie A, but used Super Cup and Intercontinental cup wins as excuses 2009: Again empty handed. I am glad we got a beating. LEt the truth come out. This Milan team is no longer in the top tier of Italian and World football. We'll make it to 4th place by beating smaller teams, but against bigger clubs, we are no longer a force. |

Secondly, concerning this issue of "balancing the books". This only works if there is a rule applying to all clubs, as UEFA is planning on doing. But as long as there is no rule, any club can spend as much as they want, either from a rich sugar daddy (man city, chelsea), or from taking out loans (Real Madrid). In this current climate, that is the only way to remain competitive because that is what our competitors are doing. So Berlusconi, if you cannot keep the team competitive, then why hold on to it at all? I agree with those who urge him to sell the club.
I never expected that our Milan would ever degenerate to this current state. I always thought our Champions would be reinforced year in and year out and we would remain fresh with a good mix of veterans and youngsters. But instead we end up killing our champions with no reinforcements. Milan has dropped in the eyes of world football. This derby was watched by millions around the world, and we have made compete fools of ourselves. Today, up and coming teams like Chelsea and Man City are stronger than Milan. Absolutely pathetic. |

why always so negative/positive after only one game?
after siena game, all of you were positive, and now after derby, all of you are negative!? do u remember man utd - liverpool 1-4 , a game that happened in manchester ![]() one of the best defenders in the world nemanja vidic got a red card in this game, just like gattuso did in our derby, but manchester won the league, and that's the proof that the score in derbies doesn't matter... if we will continue beating the clubs like siena, then we will be the champions of italy, even if we lose 15-0 from juve, and 16-0 from inter the next game,.... and the number of goals also doesn't matter, they get 3 points whether it's 4-0 or 1-0, sooo.... RELAX guys take your time... |

And are you trying to tell me that it is better to have a 500M debt now and when some new European law or some new rule from UEFA/FIFA will be voted, we will try to do our best to balance the books (which will be clearly impossible) and risk to be relegated or worst ? I don't think Inter and Juventus (or worse, Roma) are the right examples to follow ... Look at Lyon, no debt is allowed, and the club is since 10 years in CL, often came to the 1/4 finals ... we have a better basis in our team than them, if they can build a squad without debt, I think we can build a better squad than them without debt. |

And I'm sorry, but if we want to be in the top tier of world football with teams like Man Utd, Chelsea, Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Liverpool, Juve, and Inter, then we need to have a structure that enables us to compete with them. Lyon is NOT a first tier team and will never be. If we keep going the way we are, you will get your wish and we will start being like the Lyons and Arsenals---financially balanced, but languishing in the second tier of world football. And quite frankly, as a fan, I don't really give that much of a damn about our bank accounts. I never did when Berlu was buying the world in the early 90's and I don't now. I just want a competitive team out there on the field that lives up to the name and reputation that we have created. If that takes a personal investment from Berlu every year, then so be it. If he's not willing to do it, then I'm sure there are plenty others who are quite happy to invest in our storied club. |
