Who is guilty of the result in the Derby?
80% - The management for not reinforcing sufficiently 8% - The whole team 7% - Pirlo, Zambro, Janku 2% - Dinho 1% - Leonardo 1% - Nobody. Inter won it on merit 2510 votes and counting. Berlu as a politician must know that the public knows everything. No words can save this squad. http://www.milannews.it/?action=sond...idsondaggio=82 |

I don't think that's the solution. You can have another terrible management and the result is worse.
WE ARE DOOMED. |

I just saw all the goals in the Roma-Juve match and I have to point out that Diego is awesome.........bought for only 20ish mil.....phew
Galliani and Berlusconi really do rule the market, no doubt about that. And that Melo guy isn't bad either, although some people were downsizing him after our beloved Ronnie had 1 lucky game against Juve in a non relevant friendly math that is only in purpose to make an old man (B) feel good

i fear there won't be any new signing and i think one would not be enough. milan probably needs 2 wingbacks and one creative midfielder to be competitive again.

Now that I'm starting to calm down, I don't think this game is as reflective of the gap between Inter and Milan. Mourinho (who I used to hate, but have come to respect) said very honestly "I'm the worst manager today [following the Bari game] and if I win next week I'll become the best manager." And he's right. Same goes for our squad. How many people were saying that Milan were becoming resurgent? It wasn't just the Siena game. It was the way we outplayed Juventus. That game wasn't meaningless, it has become a solid pre-season fixture in which both teams use it to gauge each other. Gattuso really let the team down. Yes, there were two mistakes for the first two goals. However, the team could have restructured itself after being down 2-0. Milan has done it before. Milan should have be so happy to not have Gattuso sent off, he is either too crazy, or too stupid not to realize how lucky he was and should have been more disciplined. However, there has to be some blame laid at Leonardo's feet. Not for the overall game, I think he put out a team that should have done well against Inter. The only issue I had with his team selection was Borriello over Huntelaar. The big issue was that Leonardo did not put on Seedorf until the start of the second half. Why is that such a problem? It allowed Inter to get the game-killing third goal. You could argue, easily, that Milan were destined for destruction in this game, regardless. I disagree with that notion. After Gattuso got his marching orders, Leonardo didn't just put on Ambro, even if Seedorf have a legitimate issue, he should have done something to make the team more compact, because for some reason, Milan continued to play as if Rino was still on the field. We were playing a 4-2-1-2 and that's how Maicon easily went past our players. Since Borriello is such a bruiser, pull him back, make him sit in front of the back-four and just run his brains out. Make Ronaldinho do that, Pato, someone. Huntelaar showed in his cameo that he offered more of a goal threat than Borriello could ever hope to, and hard work to boot. He should have started, and I think his debut should have come from the begining, because our lack of sustained pressure in the attacking third is what allowed the first two goals. Had we been more useful with our superior ball possession in the opening period, things would have been far more even. I don't think this team is down and out, but I do think what it lacks of leadership. Not the sort of lead-by-example type of garbage, but rather, a general on the pitch. Maldini did that by continuously calming Gattuso down, who is a crazy person. Maldini could do this and therefore make sure other players would do similar things to other players. I still do not understand people lumping Zambro with Janku, as no attacks of Inter materialized down his flank, three of the four goals all came from the left side. I think a full back would do us a lot of good, but the question we really have to ask ourselves, is Ronaldinho simply inconsistent because he's lazy? He looks fitter, he's trim even, so he obviously is physically there. But what was the difference between the Juve game and today's? I don't think anyone has a real answer, unless you're the stupid guy from goal.com who says that Milan "struggled" to beat Siena. |

Mrki, you don't think Huntelaar is good enough for the CL or Milan?

Samaldinho: The Ronaldinho answer is that he was stifled by Inter players throughout the game.
Given that he is not as pacey anymore, he struggled. Also, he pleads for too many fouls. |
