Paloschi had a great match. Scored one, could have scored more and an assist to boot.

a goal and an assist?

this kid is really talented, I saw this after his first 2 games with the first team, it was in coppa italia against catania I think. the first goal he scored there, controlled the ball with the outside of his right foot, dribbled past a player and shot the ball in the goal! brilliant stuff.

you also gotta love his attitude, he really is fired up when on the field, he has that passion, aggresivenes on the field, something many of our current players lack.

I hoped the kid could scored a goal or 10 in serie A this season, so far he's doing excellent!! maybe he can even score more. remember he's only 19 !!

There is no argument that ALberto will have a place at milan after Borri and Pippo leave and retire at the end of this season....

Having three good strikers (Hunter/ pato/Alberto) is great, as we can rotate them along with Zigoni.....

I think Inzaghi had his best scoring season at that age for Atalanta. Paloschi is the new Inzaghi.

We also have the new Vieri in Beretta (according to what I heard), which would leave us with many goals to come if things work out well.

Problem is of course our total lack of youngsters in defense and midfield (that will also get any playing time).

1993–1994 → Verona (loan) 36 (13)

pippo's scoring record at the age of 20. a bit older than paloschi now

I only scared of that "Milan affect", a lot of these players do well for other clubs, when they come to Milan they start to sucks, and I mean suck bad. Take for example Gilardino, this guy scoring left and right for Parma, Milan got him and he could not score if his life depended on it. Now he is at Fiorentina scoring left and right last season. Now take Boriello, scoring left and right for Genova last season, came to Milan and scored how many goals? You get my point, thats the only thing I m scared of for Paloschi. I hope I m wrong.

Good point Bosniaco. I agree and I wonder why (some will say: They are not good enough!)

I think it's just extremely difficult to be a dependent striker in this Milan team (and that of the last couple years) because either all service was directed to Kaka, or there was no service at all. Our midfielders are too static and the wide players are simply horrible at delivering a final ball to the strikers in the box. The only strikers who would really thrive in this Milan are those that can create and finish their own chances.

Borriello never been a great scorer, but it is hard to judge his Milan career. Gilardino like Oliveira didn't cut it with us.

But saying that Gilardino "could not score if his life depended on it" is close to a lie. He scored 17 goals without a single penalty in his first season, that is a good record.

Paloschi on the other hand both score in his copa and Serie A debut for us. He showed what he can do.

The thing I like the most about Palo is his poacher style. It's a gift that not many strikers have nowadays. A skill that cannot be taught. Let's hope while he's young he can learn more and become a more complete striker.
