Yea i wouldn't expect anything from Milan...I had always said until Milan sell the old unuseful log of wood then we wouldn't reach anywhere...Berlu keeps believing in DINHO...ONE Man isn't enough...we saw that with Kaka..although Kaka really helped us Dinho is completely not in Kaka's shoes right now...really and truly i'm not expecting anything from Milan...i'm sure that we all won't be surprise if milan fails to qualify for champions league next year!!!

We got rid of one of the best coaches out there who is now getting great results with Chelsea. It wasn't his fault then, and it isn't Leonardo's fault now.

You can rotate those idiots as much as you want, but at the end of the day, they are still crap. Zambro left, Zambro right, Abate here, Abate there, Janku FB, Janku ML, Ambro or Gattuso....it makes no difference.

I don't think anyone is blaming Leonardo. I was just saying that I don't think it's to our advantage that our coach is inexperienced, considering the difficult situation we're in.
Leonardo has done the best he could with the squad at his disposal, and I don't blame him for the loss against Inter (we actually played some good football for 30 mins).
But this is going to be a difficult season where keeping the players motivated will be a difficult task, and we're going to hear the word "crisis" many times until May, so I just thought it would be good to have a coach who has been through this type of situation before and knows how to handle it.

Im telling this and i feel sad.......i just hope to fel in sleep and wake up the day that ACM has rebuilted that team with quality players like we had in past and become again a great team.
I know its easy to say this but the sadness i have felt in the past 2 years its very big, after the 4-0 derby and now this ugly summer mercato i feel that this team doesn't want to win nothing anymore. They don't have the desire to make us proud and feel great momments again.
I feel we have gotten in a big period that after some years ACM will again rise and have the best team of the world. Now antil then i feel we will have a real nightmare.
I don't know in how many years ACM will be again a top club, but i hope this comes very quick.
I think at the moment clubs that have future is Man Utd,Barca,Real,Chelsea,Man city,Inter and Juve.
I see as 3rd,4rd,5th,6th,7th and maybe 8th.
Is not that our era has ended, is that our club has fallen many levels. We can't compete anymore for Serie-A or CL, we can't.We are like roma and lazio. One day we will come again very stromg and dominate everything.
I hope i'am wrong...but until now everything i had said had comed true.

Sad.
If this keeps up (and isn't some type of six month fake austerity pantomime show, which I doubt), Milan could be turning into the calcio version of the Pittsburg Pirates. US posters who follow baseball will know to what I allude.

Blaming Carlo and now Leo is stupid. No builder can consytuct a house with a bunch of old, cracked, past it's prime wood. A couple of 2X4s of fresh new wood can't really help, especially when the foundation is crumbling and no longer up to code. (I think that's the worst building metaphor ever used here, and I appologise, but this whole last couple of years has been kind of disgusting.)
If changes aren't made at the top...

Maybe I'm being over dramatic, but this is very disheartening, to see managment and ownership that seems not to care. That is a very dangerous way for any sporting franchise to be operated.

Who did we spend 30 million on? Okay, 15 for Huntelaar... Roma was free, the youth players could not have made up the other 15...

I do not doubt Leo's dedication to his job. He seems very interested in coaching the team and may be has interesting tactics with which he can build a winning and entertaining team. However, I cannot comprehend how he can manage players who have developed insurmountable amounts of ego as a result of Berlu's and Galliani's mindless loathing.

Until last year we had Maldini and Ancelotti who could tame these players since they were incredibly successful and most importantly, senior to most of our players. Maldini and Ancelotti had set a bar that others players had to conquer. Now we don't have either of them. On top of that, the team is managed by Leo who has no achievements as a coach and didn't achieve anything more as a player than many of our current players. Not to mention he has no experience handling such experienced players. Quite simply put, he is not superior as an individual than Seedorf, Pirlo, Gattuso, Dinho and Zambrotta. Then I don't understand how Leo can make these players push harder than they are willing to.

We may appoint Spaletti who has good experience in handling egoistical players but I don't think it will be much of an upgrade from Leo. Spaletti also lacks credentials as a player or a coach.

The best solutions that I can think of is to start bringing in younger players in the first eleven and build the team around these players who at least have the willingness to win. We certainly won't start winning immediately but we will at least have a team for the long term. If Leo is successful in doing so, we can add new players during the next mercatos. If Leo is not successful then we will have to move on to another coach.

I spent the last two years defending Carlo. Can we please not all jump on the "We miss carlo bandwagon" now.

Carlo would have started with the same team against inter. Maybe Ambro instead of Flamini which would have p!ssed everyone off and Seedorf instead of Ronnie (Which again would have p!ssed the posters here off).

Gatusso would still have got injured, still have given a penalty. I believe Carlo would have had his man on and that is a mistake a new manager like Leo can be forgiven for. He will be ready next time, we all learn from things like this.

Janku and Zambro would still have been bad.

Tactical changes are what you all asked for, you are getting them (as much he can with the current players).

Seedorf and Ambro out for Ronnie and Flamini is what you asked for. You have got that.

What more can Leonardo do? If anybody wants to criticise Leonardo then come up with logical reasons why other than the fact that he is new to management. We dont hear Juve fans complaining about Ferrara's inexperience!

I agree, I think Leo's problem is that he doesn't seem to have the authority that he should have when it comes to the players, especially for someone like Gattuso (Remember after the Siena game aswell?).

Spaletti wouldn't be much better in my opinion, tactically he's great an innovative, prefers pass n' move football which is good, but his Roma side was WAY out of line. Remember how many red cards they got last season? There was a point where they almost got one each game, and no it wasn't only Mexes Also they were a complete mess, one match they'd play like they belonged in the top 5 in the world (remember how they dominated Arsenal and Chelsea), the next they'd play like a Serie B side.

Honostly I still hope, and think, that Leonardo can become great for Milan, but he needs to be more tough it seems. I remember Carlo writting about how he learned to be tough, but it ultimatly made him fall out with Albertini. A coach needs to be like that sometimes though, like Capello. In the end, Leonardo has a big star in my book, and because of his history in the club I'll give him more rope than normally.

Edit: And there's the first rumour with Spaletti. It won't happen though I think, Galliani is not as dumb as many people make out, he knows that Leo doesn't have much of a chance with the current material. In the end, it's Berlusconi who has to 'ok' every transfer anyways, and that's the problem.

+1 Seedorf was shat on by most here who pleaded for their beloved ronaldinho. Now all the complaints Ancelotti had about him are staring us all in the face and people want back seedorf the longer this farce of a team is allowed to continue on the more crocodile tears will be shed for carlo's departure. And i don't know if this is possible but berlu will look like more of an idiot

Carlo was too soft, despite what he wrote in his books. Remember when gatusso started shouting at him from the pitch and he just shut up, didnt respond and sat down. Gatusso is a bafoon, that is hard to control. Simple as.

Milan came out like a different side in the first game against Sienna. Why does that not spark a thought in peoples minds about Leo being tough.

Also, unlike Carlo he has had the guts to drop Seedorf and Ambro. He has openly told Kalac and Oddo to get the eff out of Milan.

And dont forget the elbow in USA 94. He has a mean side, dont worry about that.

We cant form any decisions about his management after only week 2. Lets see what he does when we are defending a lead for example. Carlo was annoying with this regard.

You are right about Borri, feels like a new signing.
About the others, just trying to throw a few suggestions in.

scandal, Im starting to think I should go to the AC Milan trials. Im not left footed, but I reckon I can play at left back or just behind the strikers, becuase I know Janku and Ronnie sure as hell cant.
