I think it's unfortunate that Leonardo is having his job come under question. I question whether Milan would actually fire him if he loses against Marseille. I sort of doubt it, mostly because we are not the sort of team to really change things (for the better).
Talking about Antonini, I get it. He has shown some promise in pre-season, not Abate-type promise, but somewhat better than Oddo. However, I wonder if Antonini can really deliver, there is this constant question mark over him what he can actually do for a team. It's like the idea of him is good, but there must be some rational hesitation from Leonardo to not play him instead of Oddo. Abate, should be playing more, because he's shown that he can actually contribute. Antonini? I'm not so sure. But then again, he has not been given a shot, and at the beginning of last year he did put in some solid displays. It's clear that Leonardo's big choice is whether he drops Dinho or not. The Inzaghi-Huntelaar thing is not as big a deal, mostly because Huntelaar has just played his first game from the start, and, did not get the sort of service that Inzaghi did. I'm sure training and tactics will factor heavily. I get the sense that Leonardo is making this huge debate, does he play Pirlo or Dinho as our trequartista? Apparently Dinho does great stuff in training, but, the absence of the will to run is what dogged Dinho against Livorno, not the disconnect between midfield and attack. The only reason Livorno was in that game was because we failed to supply the top three with any sort of prolonged possession of the ball. This is the gamble: If Leonardo plays Dinho against Marseille, there is a chance he might rise to occassion, it's the CL, it's Marseille, it's glamorous. But, he might also flop. That's what plagues Leonardo right now, Dinho's inconsistency. The only reason why Leonardo probably hesitates to play Pirlo as his CAM, besides Dinho's abilities, or Berlu's favoritism. But also because of what Leonardo has at his disposal versus Lippi. Pirlo can look great when De Rossi, Marchiso and Camoranesi are behind him. Camo offers another attacking outlet, but De Rossi and Marchiso are both hard-working, fast, and have fantastic engines. You could argue that we have a similar setup in Abate, Flamini and Seedorf. But that is where you question, can you drop Ambro? If you do, does Abate actually do well? Dropping Dinho is not easy, not because of his form, his form warrants he should be dropped, but, the issue is that Pirlo is not exactly the pinnacle of consistency himself. I think the Pirlo question is a tough one, especially as our midfield as once the strongest and deepest department we had, and it's clearly becoming a place of under performance. |

i think Flamini is a very similar player to De Rossi, and with Abate's pace and Seedorf's passing (God i wish it was Gorcuff instead) Pirlo should be able to play up

![]() Not because Milan beat Siena means they are a winning team, its just that siena is worst than Milan... How many teams are currrently worst than Milan?... only a few who are not our competitors...

It seems like it's a mix of things being not so good and Leonardo being inexperienced, it's obvious for the media to speculate in these things. And as I said earlier, Berlusconi might think the team is fine, but I'm confident that Galliani is perfectly aware that the squad is just not good enough. |

Last players that were made and are worth something came from Dinamo Zagreb, the club showed that it works well in young sectors in past years. Players like Corluka, Modric, Eduardo, Vukojevic ( a very good DM, now in Dynamo Kyev. Not Gattuso's class but a good player who has capacity to play in europe's good clubs ). Also few players that were sold to smaller european clubs... Biggest rival is, for those who dont know anything about our league, Hajduk Split. They had great generations in 90's and produced players like Jarni, Boksic, Stimac, Bilic ( today's NT coach ), Asanovic etc. (in that period Dinamo produced Suker, Boban, Stanić etc.). Last players that came out of Hajduk were Tudor and Srna. Now, great prospects show up but only for short time. There is something wrong. Today there is a player in Panathinaikos, maybe Rossoneri_11 knows about him: Rukavina. When he was younger he played in small club ibenik, and showed great football. Looked like young Alen Boksic ( of Juve, Lazio...) and then he went to Hajduk Split. After that he simply never found his spark again. The talent was there but the setup and coaches were all wrong, the pressure was rongly inserted etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGZoaJBilRY Rukavina at Sibenik where he started. Today there are also few interesting young players like Tičinović from Hajduk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egyOE2xJA4Q This is him only in few touches at the age of 16, there is nothing more on youtube. But to me he seems from what I've seen like a GREAT prospect. Modern and inteligent player. And of course that GK that "signed" for Chelsea as it seems for 2.5mln but will go there in year or two as now he is only 17. A little about young players in my country. Nothing much these days ![]() -------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyway, Galliani: " we bought Gourcuff for 3mln, sold him for 15. For Milan that was a good job." Bravo Galliani!! Just keep it up!

A new rule named "financial fair-play" will appear for all European competitions (CL and Europa League) in 2012 (season 2012-2013) !!
The clubs spending more than they have (so to say it easily: the clubs with books not balanced) will not be able to participate to the European cups ... It's now that the "we balance the books" from Galliani can make some sense !! PS: In Europa League, they will try the "goal referees", the ones who will be behind the goals. If that works, it will be applied to all (European) competitions in 2012-2013, starting by Euro 2012. |

If it's true, then whoever is buying Milan must build a new stadium or buy San Siro. It's the only way we can maintain (return to?) our position as one of the best teams in the world. Every other team has their own stadium, and it's the only way. Position (prior year position) Club Revenue '09 (£m) Revenue '08 (£m) 1 (1) Real Madrid 289.6 365.8 2 (2) Manchester United 257.1 324.8 3 (3) FC Barcelona 244.4 308.8 4 (7) Bayern Munich 233.8 295.3 5 (4) Chelsea 212.9 268.9 6 (5) Arsenal 209.3 264.4 7 (8) Liverpool 167.0 210.9 8 (6) AC Milan 165.8 209.5 9 (11) AS Roma 138.9 175.4 10 (9) Internazionale 136.9 172.9 11 (12) Juventus 132.6 167.5 12 (13) Olympique Lyonnais 123.3 155.7 13 (16) Schalke 04 117.5 148.4 14 (10) Tottenham Hotspur 114.8 145.0 15 (15) Hamburger SV 101.3 127.9 16 (19) Olympique de Marseille 100.4 126.8 17 (14) Newcastle United 99.4 125.6 18 (n/a) VfB Stuttgart 88.3 111.5 19 (n/a) Fenerbahce 88.1 111.3 20 (n/a) Manchester City 82.3 104.0 We should be up there with Bayern Munich and Barcelona. If we had our own stadium, i'm sure we would be.

So who can say if our books are balanced or not? My books, my results. My "income" can always cover by expances... Moratti, Berlusconi, FIAT - they cant be in minus. Come on... you think Inter for excample will be thrown out of Europe coz they have 500mln dept? Or Real Madrid, or Barca? Laughable.
