It's no secret he wont be w/ schalke next year. After the olympic fine, he's basically let it be known he'll article 17 next summer. So schalke may sell him in january just to recoup anything

According to footballdatabase.com, Rafinha doesn't have an EU-pass.

I for one, wouldn't have a problem with us signing Rafinha. He's obviously not a superstar just yet, and he might not ever become one, but I think that Maicon and Cafu has proved that scouting a full back is tricky buisness, so he might just become one.

Also about Robinho, he's a great player no doubt, and he'd be a bit of a dream in Milan. But I think you'd have to look for a LONG time if you wanted to find a player who's made worse choices in his carrier than Robinho. First he goes to Real Madrid, which is obviously a nightmare for any up and coming player (Higuain???), and also seems like it's run by total amatuers (I know everyone hates Galliani, but give him the budget Real Madrid has used the last couple off years and we'd defending champions in the CL). After that he chose Manchester City, which for one is in England, where his type of offensive player don't really have a huge history off succes. Also since he's arrived they've bought 4(!!!) additional attackers, which seems to be a bit much since Robinho prefers to play the second striker in a two man attack. Which seems dumb, and honostly, they might be doing good now, but they seriously seem to lack a plan like we did back in 1987(?), since they just seem to purchase everyone they can get their hands on.

Also about the big contracts. There are some really dumb ones, but then again, it's easy to say that in retrospective. Who here thinks that Barcelona would be stupid to renew with Xavi or Puyol? Or perhaps Henry? Who knows, perhaps Puyol would go and play like Seedorf did last season, or Dida did two seasons ago for Barcelona next season if he renewed. It's only natural for older players to get bigger contrascts than youngers ones. It's like that in every club. And since our transfer budget has been close to zero since 2003 or something, it's only natural that our older players would require more wages. It's fair to critize this approach ofcourse, but don't forget that we've had some good cases in Jaap Stam and Cafu for eksampel.

edit: This is turning out to be a bit of a long post, but I just had to ask. Brasileiro I'm just really curious how Adriano (The striker) is doing in Brazil? Not that I think that we should sign him or anything, I just remember reading that he was doing quite good, and I'm curious about how he's actually doing.

Ronaldinho out with a cold for the Bologna match poor guy. Seedorf rested so does this mean Andrea will play behind the front two. Apprently one of Nesta or Silva will be rested probably Nesta , this I think is a bad idea Silva & Nesta are vital for our back line. And are they really that burnt out after four games Nesta only played 3.

Nesta's played every game this season so far. It's understandable he gets rested during hectic periods like now.

Michel Platini: Clubs Will Only Be Able To Spend What They Earn By 2012

UEFA president Michel Platini has warned big-spending clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester City that lavish spending policies will be ousted by 2012.

So how match money Milan earn for a season approximately ?

- 20 million euros per season lol, on the other hand this force the cost of football down so Milan will begin to make a profit. As for Rafinha we Milan doesn't have that much money he is the best player we can recruit within a fairly tight budget unless we are able to get criscito or santon or motta for less than 12 million euros. personally i want to see some results from the primavera team obviously Albertazzi is the best option for the future. Most importantly if we get rafinha it will stop us from buying 20 million euro Brazilian midfield for at least 6 months that were Milan have been really screwing up in terms recruiting Italian talent. maybe we might even get giovinco as a result of having no EU spots left after all he is probably the most talent young Italian about and in my own opinion the most talented young player and include pato and all the youngster in Brazil serie a when i say that.

I'm watching the Juve - Livorno, besides the fact that Camo and Buffon are playing awesome, and Giovinco is not exactly impressing, I have to say, our boy Marcus Diniz is showing some defensive prowess.

I mean, he's not lighting up the field with defensive genius, but, Livorno is actually playing very well, so Diniz isn't exactly being tested, but the times he has been, he's done well.

Okay he did , But with us now 8 points off the pace (as Juve are up 2 - 0 against Livorno with 15 mins left) we cannot afford to rest either of ou CB'S yet . Nesta definately cannot play the whole season without a break but we need victories and points that go with them . Our backup CB's don't give me any confidence.

I agree with Jay. We are too inconsistent now to let some of our starters like Nesta to be rested. Not with the quality of the CBs in our disposal. It's different with the trequartista's role as we have Pirlo and Seedorf capable of replacing Dinho.

A bit OOT, I couldn't find the appropriate thread, so I'll just say it here "Happy Idul Fitri" (as we say it in Indonesia) to all MM celebrating it

I doubt he is our boy. After all, we do own him, but as soon as we got him back (in summer), we loaned him out again. He will never be our boy.


Darn it, looks like Buffon finally got his groove back. These past month, he has been on fire.

fair enough Giovinco wasn't fantastic but he worked hard and showed a lot of qualities i personally don't think he is suited for the juventus style of play. He still more promise than the likes of marquinhos and co.

Good scouting. To me he looks less impressive than Collocini did, but who knows....

Hmmmm...sounds like a good idea to me. If he retires in say...January, we will be forced to buy right? Or will Di Gennaro be the man to lead us to glory?
