Pato was apparently extremely annoyed at Pippo for not passing the ball when Pippo hit the post against Bologna. I can't blame him either. Whilst I'm not against strikers being selfish, what Pippo did was downright stupid as Pato was open with pretty much an open goal to aim for. It goes against the ethos that Leo is trying to bring to the side about working as a team and not as individuals and it goes against all sensibilities. Pippo at his age should know full well he should have passed for the greater good instead of trying to score himself. I'm still irritated by Pippo's actions myself given how much it could have cost us (especially if one of Bologna's late chances went in), so if Pato is angry about it then I totally understand.
Pippo has always been a selfish player. Just ask Del Piero, who marked his return after a long injury with a goal from Pippo (when both played at Juve). I can never forget the look on Del Piero's face. Instead of passing to Del Piero, who was open, Inzaghi did what he does best: cynically convert the chance. We love him and hate him for it.

Actually, Pippo hit the post, if he had scored (which was almost the case), everyone would have said how great is SuperPippo ...

It's too easy to criticize him now for doing what he always does (and very often manages to do it) ...

Anyway, Pato is strange since the beginning of this season.

guys there is no fan in the world that would dream a player like toni, but we should consider our options and the circumstances we are under..

toni is an experienced player that has scored many goals,in serie a too,i agree with mrki saying that he is way better than borrielo..our mgmt is not going to spend a single cent on january,so getting a player like toni for free is not going to make us any worse at least..dont forget pippo is 36 and playing hunter all the time is not a smart move at all..

we re playing in serie a,most of teams play extra-defensively,especcially in san siro, having a player like toni would solve us many problems,he is tall and really powreful,so despite the goals that he may score,it would take one or two players marking him, which means more space for pato, dinho, seedorf etc..furthermore if we got becks too in january,i think that bologna-type matches would be a piece of cake..

of course thats not the milan that i dream, but i think that we would be far more effecient in serie a..we are already miles away from teams like barca-real-chelsea etc to speak for ch.l. winning possibilities,so i know toni and becks would not help us a lot against that kind of teams, but we re lost anyway..and dont forget,i am talking about free transfers..

Pato is "strange" becouse the team sucks! And his tipe of football is now something that is isolated by the sale of Kaka' etc, I explained it in earlier post. Pato has noone to play with nowdays, his football is too fast for his teammates. Even for the fullbacks that play on our left side ( they can run but lack precise passes ).

Any player in the world would be pissed off to start a season in which you know realistically you wont win anything. Seedorf, Pirlo etc dont care, they won it all. But Pato is a young player full of motivation and will. Unlike our team.

Also, he is fouled 15 times per match from same reason as I said before - he is the only one opening space and able to play vertically. PLayers like Pirlo,Seedorf and Dinho hold the ball 10 sec before they pass. They do not open up space with runs. Pato plays between 2,3 palyers all the time becouse oue team doesnt move and cant create 1 on 1 space as Kaka' could. They Pato had space for 1 on 1 ( not 1 on 3! ) and he had what he needed to use his speed. Today Pato is unable to produce the best of his game due to the slowness of our players. Not only Berlusconi and Galliani ****ed the soul of Milan by selling oure best and legendary players like Sheva and Kaka', and selling Gourcuff, they also ****ed up Pato's game ( but we'll sell him most likely so...). Also, "we" ****ed up the returning of Nesta and Thiago as his pertner becouse now we finnally got what we needed ( defence on 40m from goal ) but we cant use if coz we lack real class midfielders.

About Toni - I think that he is a better player then Boriello by class and that he can do well for us. Of course the transfer is 3 years late as all Galliani's transfers.

And I can bet that Milan payed nothing for Huntelaar who was a part of the deal and our "offers" for Dzeko and Fabiano were riduculously low coz we didnt want to sign them anyway, It was just a lie for papers an fans.

AC Milan has spent 0 euro this mercato people... We'll get Beckham and Toni for free and pay Rafinha 8-9mln. ( what about abate as RB now?? )

Again, no plan, no tactics no nothing. Only plan is to make money. All in all, Milan has no chance this way.

NO TONI!!!! ppl are complaining about our lack of speed, and Toni is one of the laziest strikers around. Borri is a really hard worker and he is a good player to have around.

We are set at striker. what we need most of all is a AM type player. Dinho is worthless now, and Seedorf is too slow (great backup though) What we should be doing is shelling out some cash and getting a star like G Rossi or Cassano. that would open our attack up like nothing else

what the other thing we need to do badly is spend some more money and get one of - Cristico, Motta, Bocchetti, Santacrosse. These players are literally the future back 4 of Italy imo.

Cristico- my top choice, he is able to play LB, CB, or LM, He is a hugely talented player, and rumors are he could be had for 8-12 mil. Offer 9 and Janks. That would hopefully do it.
Motta- great player, is out of favor at the moment at Roma. Was the best RB in the league last year. Captian of the U-21s and very talented.
Bocchetti-Really promising CB, is a lot like Canna. He also has the pace to play LB in a pinch.
Santacrosse- very talented, but is kind of a head case. If he keeps his head on straight he has a chance to be very good.

I would love two of these players, but im afraid that will not happen.

The problem I have with Toni is he is 32 do you guys wan't a 34 - 36 year Luca Toni on team , also Toni needs service to score that and 100 clear chances. As Huntelaar has found out for these type of penalty box players getting no service leads to no goals. Luca Toni please no also Beckham WTF!!!! , these players are even older and worse than the Ronaldo's and Emerson's that we signed before this policy is huge step backward . Im not going to moan about Berlu being a thief because I don't think he is. But if Beckham and Toni arrive I will be a little p1ssed after the whole Fabiano we only want to sign players under 23 WOW!! what a joke.

I know our MGT lie , always did but its getting embarrassing and infuriating at this stage the constant contradiction is bad bad bad.

Actually Beckham is better than Emerson but still not the move of a great even a good club.

Brilliant post Mrki...absolutely spot on!!

I've also noticed that Pato hasn't been his normal self since the start of the season. I don't blame him either, like you said...realistically the team won't win anything this season, what has he got to strive for??

I'm only afraid that, if things don't improve on/off the field and especially in the transfer market, this will only futher increase speculation that he might consider leaving the club, THATS ALL WE NEED....

We will only spend and Im not talking 100 million Im talking 30 - 40 million when Berlu dies and his devils spawn sell. Actually if we all chip in a couple of euro couldnt we hire a hitman to take care of Berlu .....Im just saying.

Let's not exactly get ahead of ourselves. Pato's major problem is that he's trying to do things that he does not have the skills for.

He is an immensely talented player, that is of little doubt. However, it has nothing to do with lack of speed in our team. It is about decision-making. He does not have the decision-making skills to have the ball at his feet for an extended period. He does not pass the ball well enough, nor does he even distribute it well enough side-to-side.

Pato did well against Siena, because he stopped trying to be a ball-carrier. He scored his two goals as an out-and-out striker.

With regards to Toni, I would really be against this move, as if we really need someone to be a bruiser we all ready have that Borriello. Borriello's work rate is tops, the issue is that he doesn't seem to offer an attacking threat.

Beckham's performances for Milan last year were great, if he were to offer similar performances for Milan on his return, then I would be all for it.

I'm not going to count Abate as a RB, I'd actually rather have him and Flamini be in midfield with Pirlo and we can take Rafinha for that RB spot. Abate had a good game at RB against a poor team, and unless he can string more than one good performance in the position, I don't think we should be factoring him as a possible successor.

Cassano has a 20 mil buyout clause!!!!!! holy crap!!!!! we need to buy him the second the transfer window reopens. that is nothing for a player of his caliber! he would hugely improve our squad!!!

Pato is very much still in 'adjustment' mode to Leonardo's tactics. I agree with Samaldinho, he has all the characteristics to play like a second striker, ala Sheva in his younger days, but his youth and inexperience are showing. He doesnt pass when he should and dribbles when he shouldnt. And really with R80 and Seedorf interchanging, it is difficult for him to get used to the AM that he's supposed to link with. Give the kid some time, he will be awesome, there is no doubt.

As for fullbacks, I still dont know why everyone is still crying out for a good right back. Guys, it is the left back position that we need. If Zambro gets injured, who's our left back? No one except for Janku or Favalli, which is a disaster. If our right back (again Zambro ) gets injured, we have plenty of options---Oddo, Abate, even Flamini. I'm sure Galliani knows this, otherwise he wouldnt have bid for Cissokho (who is a left back) in teh first place.

I have been saying i want to get rid of Dinho for a few months. Cassano is a far superior player to R80 at this point. We would be a hugely improved team with him
