Just finished watching the match my god it was bad , completely void of ideas sloppy in defence and losing to a very average side comfortably. Leo is not totally to blame he got nothing he asked for and lost everything he needed. The older players are just that old and if the could play like the were 25 they would but they can't.

Investment is needed so badly but maybe MGT do not care anymore I honestly do not know what is going on. We are debt free 100% in the black , but spend nothing. If other teams in Europe were debt free they would spend 200 or 300 million.

But that is just the thing nobody on here wants that well it would be nice , but we just wanted realistic signings maybe even as little as 30 million. Sunderland have spent more in 3 years than the mighty AC Milan have in 10 its sad as a lifelong fan to see us like this. For the 96/97 97/98 season we were bad but spent badly , thats the thing we spent and didn't have a team like this. If anyone has seen those shows on Sky where the retired older players play indoor thats what our team is like..FACT!!...Actually some of those guys are younger than Pippo.

The bullsh1t must stop somewhere there is nothing positive to take from Milan this season , there is nothing positive in MGT at all. Even Pato looks ordinary but that is due to the fact he no one to play with him at his speed. Huntelaar is a quality Centre forward but centre forwards need chances to score he has not one decent chance created for him in 5 game not even a half chance.

It is not a case of there is alot of work to do , our team is too old and slow and beaten and broken down......

yes i know... but that basically sucks... i know the union has rules as it relates to work permits and stuff... but why is it that in some countries when their goverment get involve with their football (Zimbabwe) FIFA wanted to omit them from competition...

it is not as bad as it looks on the surface. If Cassano has a 20 mil buyout, he simply must be purchased. If we offer Genoa Janks and 10 mil for Cristco they will likely sell. We already have reportadly bought a talented midfielder from Moscow, Milos Krasic. He is young and has pace and talent. If we send Abs to Calgari with some cash for Marchetti than we would have a very strong team.

I agree with pretty much everything you said but this part.

I've read a couple of people say this now (so you'r not the only one that has said this).

The team is playing pretty bad right now and there is no argument against that. It's very obvious. Is the team bringing Pato's performance down with that?!?! Absolutely, as football is a team sport and if 2-3 people don't perform as they should (let alone we have 6-7 at times that look clueless on the field) then it bring's everyone's performance down.

And the times he makes a right one.........it either comes too late or his pass is simply not good enough. Most of the time he tries to do too much on his own. Doesn't pass the ball and runs himself into trouble. If he does decide to pass, most of the time it takes him way too long to make that decision and then when the pass finaly comes it's as sloppy as they come.

I love Pato and I think he has the talent to become one of the best in the world and definately challenge for the Ballon D'or in the future. But the way I see him right now on the field, he needs to get his head straight.

I agree to about 60% extent, of mostly what yous ay. But I also think that the team is not helping either; if the team can actually be contributive (more people running around, more options), he can perform better by making right decision.

You are absolutely right Jeff. And I think we are talking about the same thing. That's the reason why in the previous paragraph (before the quoted part) I said that the team is definitely bringing Pato's performance down.

But the reason of why I went on to talk about Pato is because I don't buy into this "Pato is looking ordinary because the team sucks" stuff. Yes, there are many times where the static play around him drags him down. That's obvious. But there are many other times when the option is right there but he chooses to do it all himself....and only decides to take that option when he really has nowhere else to go.....which at that point it's already too late.

I said that awhile ago, when a team plays bad, all the players will start underperforming. Now I am not saying Pato is not a fault here but I think a lot had happened to cause Pato to underperform.

1. Pato is playing out of position. He lacks the creativity to play second striker and if this continue, he might be another Gila. And the only reason why he is there is simply b/c he is the only one on the team that can dribble with speed.

2. The lost of Kaka. With Kaka, opposing teams will zoom in on defending Kaka instead of Pato. Thus once Kaka is gone, teams just turned their attention to Pato.

3. The movement is too slow.

Ofcourse, Pato is in a bad form too, but I have a feeling that he is trying to do too much at times which led to bad decisions.

The thing is Pato should be a main striker as he, at this moment, lacks the creativity for being a second striker.
Something tells me that, the reason Leo is putting Pato there is b/c he is the only one with speed and can dribbles in the starting 11.

It's not just about speed. All the players you mentioned---Torres, Kanu--these are guys with physical presence in addition to speed, that's why they're good first strikers. With Henry, he was always played as a second strker, usually hovering and attacking the space on the left, very much like what Pato is expected to do here---so you better check your facts first

Now if he had a proper partner to play off----maybe someone like Fabiano who can create something on his own, both of them can open up opposition defenses. But now, it's like Pato alone in the top third, Huntelaar in the box, and Seedorf behind them---what is he supposed to do?

But you never know. You might be right in a sense. If we choose to not play with a designated targetman (like Roma under Spalleti), then Pato could play the lone striker, provided he has a couple of fast AM's to play with....Kaka and Ribery would've been perfect....sigh.

I always thought Henry played like Ibra at Inter. Striker+playmaker.

Anyhow. I am not too keen on target man, esp with MIlan set up as the team, at least since 2001 ain't a team with wide players. The tactics have always been pressure, movement and possession. Even during 2003-2005, IMO the best team in Europe, Sheva, Pippo and JDT are not true target man. Yes, Crespo was there but he was more or less a supersub instead of starter.
To me, if Milan midfield are two of Cesc, Xabi, DeRossi, with Kaka playing behind the strikers and Flamini or Gattuso as DM, Pato will score plenty of goals as a lone striker.

does anyone know the injury status of Di Gennaro and Bonera i don't i think i could be able to watch Seedorf as the play maker all season.
