Milan Youth Players

Thanks Mystik. Surprised to see Albertazzi on the scoresheet. I was hoping that he would get more chances with the first team. Didn't Galliani announce (either in the summer or at the end of last season) that he would be promoted for this season?

^^ Galliani says many things, 180% of which should not be taken seriously. Maybe Leo will use him in the Coppa and from there he will see if the guy's any good or not. In any case, he, along with some of our other youth players, are off with their respective U-20 national teams.

Romagnoli, Strasser and Zigoni have started every game! Strasser is the one who stands out for me. (Apart from Paloschi)

Thanks Mystik. I'm glad to see Zigoni's doing well and more importantly our youth sector is doing well. It's important that in the next few years we get some players to really make the jump to the first team.

The big problem here is how many players we have in their way. Players with high wages. I am talking about players like Kaladze, Favalli, Borriello and Ambrosini. I don't see them as top players and suspect a young one could do with some minutes instead of some of them. Especially the first two I mentioned. Not to forget we have FOUR goalies.

I'm hoping by the time we're looking to get these youngsters into the squad most of these players will be on their way.

is Strasser good enough to get some minutes now?

Looking at his position in the list of the players playing in the 4 games, did Strasser play like a defender (LB or RB probably) ?!

The best 3 players of our Primavera should be given a chance in Italian Cup as we don't care about being eliminated or not, and it could be a boost to their morale, a good way to give them some experience (especially if the team is able to win) and to see how they play against professionnal players ...

^^ I think he played in midfield as usual, those guys don't care about what order they list the players names. They may be listed in order of number or something.

wow @ Viudez's goal... he always did impress everytime he was given a chance....every time... I dont understand why we let him go.

BTW - Albertazzi scored for Italy the first goal in the U-20 World Cup today... Italy went on to win 2-1.

Albertazzi goal wasn't that good is a very good header but nothing to write home about he has had a pretty average tournament only in the last 45 minutes he started to show the qualities that could get him a place in the senior side. As for viduez i never understand why Milan is letting players of his age go still i hope that the management sign a non EU player that is able make us forget about cardacio viduez and maybe even kaka.

Albertazzi an average tournament?
he is playing as central defender and so he should be judged on his defence skills only! He did about everything right in the first game. nothing spectacular but did what he had to do.

I didnt see Italy's last game (will do it today in delay), but if you say he did good in the second half I dont see how he could've had an average tournament. or he had to do really bad in last' game first half
