okay guys long post and please give me your opinions?
it's real obvious we cant score goals if our life depended on it we have to start play 442 or 4231, leonardo's formation is too open and you need speed on the flanks to make it work, he wants a xmas tree formation thats what it is, but gattuso and seedorf arent 25-29 anymore everybody has to realize flamini is a defensive midfielder he does not score goals,PIRLO HAS TO STOP TAKING FREE KICKS!, jankulovski sad to say was pushing up abate sad sad the only bright spot in our team tonight, i dont want to fire leonardo but the hole is starting to get too big, bring in mancini or spaletti it's too much we have to salvage something! its real simple 2 attacking midfielders i dont care bring in a 18 yr old,van der vaart, bale rafinha, its real simple if the trequartista cant produce the whole formation collapses and we should seriously consider playing a 451 a midfield of 5and pato uptop like hiddink ran, lol if it makes anybody feel better we're still 2 in group D based on goal differential and now we have a massive david vs goliath match aganst madrid in madrid |

I'm actually glad the match was not televised in the USA. I have seen the "highlights" and it looks like more than 1/2 of the fans made like the Fox Soccer Channel programmers and avoided this one too.
Poor Leo, he looks to be not long for his job. Too bad the deluded old satyr who is most responsible for the embarrassing state of this "team of champions" is still going to be in charge no matter what idiot he gets to "take over" the "management". You, who have been here as long as I, know I am not one of the pessimistic fans who sees doom and tragedy behind every door, but right now AC Milan's recent history is way too much like that of the Oakland Raiders for my taste. Meh.

The humiliation against Inter is also mainly Leonardo's fault. He was a sacrifice lamb as simple as that. You cannot hire a serious coach and tell him "Well, there's no money for transfers, this is what you have" and ask him to make a third team in Serie A without it's best player a champion team. Leonardo was hungry, he saw an opportunity and he thought why not. With formation like this you cannot beat a defending team at home. There are two strikers without any kind of support. It's so ****ing clear. Like it was clear you cannot play two defensive midfielders behind Ronaldinho because he'll be cut out, and that's exactly what happened against Inter. Either Seedorf or Pirlo must play upper in midfield so Ronny could have someone to combine with. I really don't know why Leonardo insists on Pirlo as a deep-lying, because that way we HAVE to have two DMs, because Gattuso cannot cover both Pirlo and Seedorf, who lost their legs, and Ronny simply cannot play in that formation. Leonardo must leave that idea of deep-lying playmaker because we don't have a team for that system anymore. Flamini must play in front of defense, Gattuso on the right and Pirlo/Seedorf on the left with Ronny as AM. That way Gattuso and Flamini could cover around, and Flamini can pass the ball quicky to Pirlo or the side backs. That way we would have link between AM and the rest of the midfield and also the link between AM and attack which Seedorf cannot provide. But I'm afraid that Leonardo isn't the man for the job. We should bring in Spaletti. He's the only world-class coach who's free. We need someone who can get the best of his players. Spaletti made (for example) Perrotta looking great, then Brighi and so on. He really can make a system which takes the best from each player. Last edited by Revolver; 30-09-2009 at 18:28. |

we are really struggling its so sad everyone besides milan themselves have been saying we need reinforcements, the fabiano and cissoko episodes were disgraceful! Not too mention gourcuff, we would of known we were selling him so we could of told gourcuff he would start! bad management all round!

All,
I'm shocked that you guys are even surprised with these results. The pre-season said it all. Fundamentally this team is deficient...yet we have leaders who were so short-sighted in the past that they didn't think these days would come. A new coach won't change the performance of the team. Spalletti..e.t.c.....Keep Leonardo & Tassoti!!!! No new coach can rescue this ship. Like one stupid man once said " You go to war with the army you have, not the one you wish you had". We have our current squad for 4 months...nothing will change that, we just have to hope this ship starts to turn with Leo at the helm. http://www.milanmania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26331

Unbelievably sad. Look how that lowlife scum of the earth Berlusconi has ruined this team. It is an embarrassment. I loathe Galliani and Berlusconi more than anything or anyone in this world.
