I'm ok with the fact that Barcelona and Chelsea are maybe the best teams in Europe currently, but it's also a fact that they don't dominate Europe at all nowadays like Barcelona or Manchester did the last two years ...

So for me, for moment, it's an open year whoch could lead to some surprise (I'm really impressed by this Bordeaux team) or to an exciting come-back from ... Milan ?!

I think it's too soon to speak about dominating Europe, 4 games into the group stages. Still, Barca have a tough group, and Chelsea have already qualified for the knock-out stage. And domestically they're both 1st, and imo look considerably better than their closest rivals (Madrid and United).

As for Milan´s glorious comeback...bring it

If the rumor is true Robinho would go to Barca and Dinho to Man City. If we could get Robinho though that would be amazing. Cassano or Rossi would too.

Just want to make a comment about Yoann, who had another excellent game and has led Bordeux into the next round of CL.

What I would love is for Milan to use the money to buy a player like Foggia for up top, then use the money we got from selling Gourcuff (15mil) and then use 10 mil from selling Dinho to buy Gourcuff back and use him as the replacement for Seedorf. (Clarence stays as a sub) we would still need a FB, but that would give use elite attacking options

I highly doubt that we will sell Dinho at the end of the year. He is Berlu's pet and besides that, he has been performing well lately. Buying him from Barca was considered as a victory for Berlu and if he were to sell him now, it would be like a defeat.

If I were Galliani, I wouldn't take the risk of buying a new attacker and watch him painfully take a great deal of time to settle into the team. On top of that, Robinho more arrogant than Dinho and Gourcuff doesn't have the patience to become as important as he is right now with Bordeaux. Simple and end of.

To think that both Foggia and Gourcuff were part of the Milan set up as recently as last year.
It really does say something about treatment of young players in Milan.

This player has good skills, it's sure, but he has nothing to do in Milan.

For Gourcuff, I don't think he will come back, but if he does, he would be a starter in our current team for sure (probably replacing Seedorf who could replace Ronaldinho and rotate). Why ? Because Gourcuff is now a confident player, sure about his skills and what he can do, and also, comparing to our Seedorf, he is now able to set up attacks (depending on the games for Seedorf, for example, yesterday, he wasn't able to have this role), calm down the rythm if needed by keeping the ball (like Seedorf), track back players (like Seedorf when Leo asks him to do so) and trying to be at the end of actions he himself set up (unlike Seedorf for moment) ...

Geo, come on, Foggia will be a good player for the current MIlan squad as he offers a different dimension to the game and with the 4-3-3, he will be very useful. He might not be a starter but he sure will be the first guy off the bench to change the speed of the play. A lot like Serginho did back then.

Cannot agree with you more about Gourcuff.

i think it was a big reason Carlo was let go TBH.

To think we could have foggia relieving ronaldinho and gourcuff for seedorf on occasion :-/

Full-backs seem to be the order of the day for us. I'd like to see people in here put down a small list of 3 or 4 right-backs and 3 to 4 left-backs, to see what choice we have.

Don't move into the realm of fantasy and say we should get any of the following: Alves, Bosingwa, Maicon, Cole, Evra, etc. i.e. the big names from the big clubs who won't move.

So here's mine, in no order:

Right-backs
Rafinha
Really stuck for names!


Left-backs
Lahm (the situation at Bayern makes him a possibility)
Clichy
Zhirkov (Cole is the number 1 LB at Chelsea, with Malouda on the left wing - how long will the Russian accept being more of a squad player?)
