I'm afraid that Inter won't lose points tonight ... they don't play well, but Roma is just horrible and worse than them !!

So regarding the results since the beginning of this season, Inter is probably going to score a lucky goal around the 85th minute to win this game ...

I hope I'm wrong ...

(1-1 at the 60th)

My favorite stat of the year: Juventus have scored 12 league goals in their past three Serie A games. That's one fewer than we have for the ENTIRE season.

We scored 11 goals in the last 6 games ...

Inter 1-1 Roma (FT)

1st: Inter (29 pts)
2nd: Juventus (24 pts)
3rd: Milan (22 pts)

4th: Fiorentina (21 pts)
5th: Sampdoria (21 pts)
6th: Genoa (20 pts)

7th: Parma (20 pts)

(logical ranking with the 4 current CL teams in the first 4 places ...)

Looking at the table one must think about those stupid goals in Naples.

We can think about an horrible start of season, and we are 3rd anyway ... so if we can keep this kind of form (at least, because I hope we will improve) until the end of season, Scudetto will be a real goal for us.

Given Juve's inconsistency this season (5 goals vs. Samp then their massive home choke to Napoli) and the slim two-point gap, we could easily overtake them if we play our cards right.

True, just hope NEsta and Silva are injury free and Milan might even have a chance to win it.

That had to happen, in a weird sort of way. Just look at how they ended the Lazio game, had we won at Napoli, we would have thrown this one away. This Milan team needs to be slapped to wake up.

Still, think of it as a point gained at San Paolo. Most other teams will struggle there.

Well said. I just couldnt wait for the match to get over. I thought we would repeat a Naples at Rome. Milan seriously can get sloopy at times. Silva s own goal was unfortunate, but some of the attempts from Zarate were scaring the **** out of me. Anyways im glad we won and and nice to see the table smiling upon us, 3rd place considering our start to the season is great coz until a few weeks back some of us here didnnt even consider this Milan side to qualify for next years Champions League and now we are talking about title contentions, NICE.

N i was so hoping Inter lost yesterday, but they just manage to get it right atleast almost right. Anyways, two long weeks and i hope our team doesnt get too complacent after the break. Hope we keep winning and make life for both Juve and Inter, very very difficult. FORZA MILAN

"LAZIO

Muslera- 7: The Uruguayan was at little fault for either of the goals and he kept the Aquile in with a chance to equalise late on following a whole host of spectacular saves.

Kolarov- 6.5: The Serbian made some spectacular low crosses and pushed forward on numerous occasions.

Radu- 5: Had a disastrous opening half hour alongside Siviglia and would have merited a lower rating had it not been for his controlled second half performance.

Siviglia- 3: The veteran defender was beaten to the ball on far too many occasions and was given a torrid afternoon by Pato’s darting runs.

Lichtsteiner- 7: The Swiss wing-back put in a trademark attacking performance in the second half and could have had an assist had the Lazio forwards been a little sharper in front of goal.

Mauri- 4: Failed to make an impression in the opening 45 minutes the Italian was sacrificed for Cruz as Ballardini looked to take a more direct approach after the break.

Baronio- 5: Not his best display in the middle of the park and was often made to pay by the fine performance of his former colleague Andrea Pirlo.

Brocchi- 6: He put in a shift against his former side and dragged his side forward after their disastrous opening half hour.

Matuzalem- 5.5: The Brazilian rolled his sleeves up in the second period but wasted the chance to cut the Rossoneri open on the counter-attack with some miss place passing.

Rocchi- 5.5: He has another great chance to put the Biancocelesti ahead after just 60 seconds, and just as three days earlier ‘TommyGol’ failed to punish the visitors. The captain also wasted a number of chances late on to secure what could have been a precious point.

Zarate- 8: Produced some spectacular mazy runs and was the engine behind Lazio’s second half fight back. ‘Maurito’ was unlucky not to have a couple of goals to his name after watching Dida pull of some important late saves.

Substitutes

Cruz- 4: Had a great chance to get on the score sheet following a great low cross from Lichtsteiner. The Lazio fans are still wondering where the former Inter ‘Super sub’ has gotten to as they continue to watch ‘El Jardinero’ fire blanks.

Meghni- 6: Put some inviting balls into the box late on but was denied an assist as Rocchi failed to head home the equaliser.

Cribari- 3.5: Despite only being on the field for 19 minutes, the Brazilian almost gifted Inzaghi a late goal with a trademark misplaced clearance.

MILAN

Dida- 7.5: Given a lot to think about in the final stages and pulled off a couple of spectacular blocks to deny Zarate a late equaliser.

Zambrotta- 6: The Italian got forward on numerous occasions in the first half but he became increasingly exposed as Lazio came back late on.

T.Silva- 7.5: Opening the scoring with his first league goal of the season, and set the Rossoneri onto a textbook victory at the Olimpico. Despite his unlucky own goal, the Brazilian made a whole host of decisive interventions after the break to keep his side’s noses in front.

Nesta- 7.5: Put in an expert performance alongside Thiago Silva, and left Rocchi offside on numerous occasions with his intelligent defensive line. Il Capitano didn’t merit the early whistles spared for him by his former supporters.

Oddo- 5.5: Made some good forward runs, but was often exposed by Zarate who didn’t hesitate to take him on.

Seedorf- 6.5: Gave a good account of himself alongside Pirlo and could have added a third for the Diavolo on the stroke of halftime.

Pirlo- 7.5: The Italian midfielder ran the show in the middle of the park this afternoon and was the spark behind the Milan counter.

Ambrosini- 7: Worked his socks off when the Aquile looked their most spirited late on.

Ronaldinho- 6.5: The Brazilian would have had a higher score had he managed to build on his top first half performance after the break. Dinho didn’t push enough in the second half and this allowed the Biancocelesti to find a way back.

Pato- 8: Usually finds the net at the Olimpico, and lived up to his reputation with a well taken header before halftime. Could have had a hat trick in the second period had Muslera not been so alert between the sticks.

Borriello- 4.5: After his impressive performance against Parma last weekend, the Italian bomber was far below standard this afternoon and did his best to waste numerous opportunities in front of goal.

Substitutes

Inzaghi- 6.5: Despite only featuring for the final quater of an hour, he looked far more threatening than Borriello had been for the previous 75 minutes.

Flamini- 6: Produced a wonderful crack on the volley late on that needed an equally top save from Muslera.

Abate- N/A:

i have to say that Seedorf's rating is far too generous IMO...he was lazy, wasteful, and inaccurate most of the match...i thought Leo should have subbed him much earlier. the fact that he is being used as a link between the midfield and attack was the kind of free pass he needed to jog around in between: never in a rush to help the midfield and never in a rush to launch a counter-attack...these days when he plays like that makes me forget all the good performances he put lately because he frustrates the hell out of me (and Pato)
Flamini i think should get a lot more playing time: did anyone see how he sprinted back to his position when we lost the ball on attack? of course not to mention that unbelievable volley (if u saw the reaction on Pato's face u can get how brilliant that was)
also good to see Leo learning a bit from the Napoli match and substituing R80 with Abate, although i thought that should have been done earlier

Great run of results, hope we can pick up from where we left off after the break
