i also think favalli is better than Kaladze at the center of defence (but i would not like to see him play as left back at all) but i still beleive that giving the chance to Albertazzi is a better choice... i don't think that 10 and 20 mins every couple of months could really benefit a yougster...just look at arsenal and how Wenger is always ready to promote a player from his youth teams whenever he has somebody missing, and i doubt anyone can argue against the results he is having....

Anyway, let's hope he will be better than Kaladze.

Our trident attacking force was great today, each got 1 goal, 1 assist (Pato got the penalty)

Forza Milan!!!!
Actually, Borriello got the penalty.

1. Borri-->Seedorf
2. Pato shoots, Borri scores. ( Maybe the ball was in after Pato's shot)
3. Ronaldinho-->Pato
4. Borri tackled after a nice pass from Pato---> Ronaldinho scores penalty

But you are right, our trident was really on fire today.

I will not doubt his results with working with youngsters, but he has no results lately. No trophys. He hasn't won anything in the last 5 years.

Man, **** Kaladze.

I don't really know if I like this gung-ho feeling. It's shredding my nerves... We have to learn how to control games when we're two up, and go for the killer three goal gap. We almost did, today, but Kala.... My god...

Borrigol, Pato, Dinho and Seedorf gave a mighty fine display today. Class passing and goals. Pato's goall was just..... WOW!

Other players who get my thumbs up are Ambrosini, Zambrotta and Oddo (he didnt cross much today, maybe thats why he was good?).

Pirlo just jogged the whole game, I am quite disappointed. Was too lazy in his defensive game. Nothing new however.

Kaladze was horrible, had Nesta been there we might not have let in 3 goals today.

Today I can actually say I am proud of the way we played and really enjoyed our performance.

Thank for correcting me. My connection was bad, so...

However, that was nothing

Wow...the first 20 minutes to the second half was STUNNIN! It was the best Milan I have seen in yeaaars.. Boriello was absolutely fantastic, he was everywhere up front, winning so many balls and holding the ball up perfectly. He was also seen in our half tackling and winning the ball back for a counter attack... There's no way I'd want Huntelaar to play if this guy keeps doing this. Ronaldinho was not the same player we have been seeing in a Milan shirt...the Ronaldinho we saw yesterday was the one from Barcelona! however... he needs to find more consistency throughout a game, as after those first 20 minutes of the 2nd half, he didnt touch the ball for the next 15 min.

That clown needs to retire football asap and save some face, he is already hated in his own country for those two own goals, if he continues playing he will be one of the most hated players, not cause of his attitude but just cause he sucks. Kaladze it's time to leave!

It hurts me to say this but it must be said......unfortunately I really believe Zambrotta is finished. His defending is not even that great and his attack is abysmal. He lost almost 90% of the balls he delivered, absolutely unacceptable for his standard. I hope we get a LB this January. Oddo today was alright but he wasn't great, he was caught 3 times and in 2 of the 3 times they scored. However as I said, I thought he played good overall.

This 4-3-3 could not work with Inzaghi and Huntelaar, because the center forward must be able to do what Boriello does. As soon as Pippo came on you could see that all of our attacks weren't happening and kept getting cut off as soon as we reached the last third.

Honestly, the most person that deserves the standing ovation is...... LEONARDO!! Bravo and we hope you get the signings you need this January.

Why has Favalli completely fallen off the radar? Is he injured or just warming the bench?

and where the hell is bonera. He is quite decent normally. at least better than Kaladze.
Kaladze should never play for Milan again IMO, also Onyewu sucks bigtime, we need a CD in january!

This was a tough match, so I'm glad about the win, but we REALLY suffered for it. We weren't great, we did good going forward, but at the back we couldn't have been much worse really. We lacked leadership, communication and suffered against a good attack.

The first half was very open. We scored a great goal with Seedorf's move early on and I was really looking forward to seeing us go from there. Instead we let in two sloppy goals that should have been avoided (first was due to Kaladze's poor marking and the second was a mess of marking between the whole defence). We were being outplayed, but managed a blitz at the end of the half scoring two good goals, especially Pato's.

The second half was a little tighter and more controlled. We still looked nervy at the back, but less so and going forward we weren't always as potent. That said we were good on the counter which essentially lead to the penalty. However, we again made it difficult for ourselves as we let in a stupid goal where Kaladze (again!) didn't hold his line to play offside.

Really, I feel we were lucky that we won as we easily could have lost. Cagliari had chances but didn't take them. We on the other hand were more clinical.

Players...

Dida - Solid performance with some good saves
Oddo - Poor at the back really and added little going forward
Thiago - Struggled to hold his own in the joke of a defence
Kaladze - Horror show stuff. Can't get his position correct, can't mark his man and looks weak in all respects. Can be ok against weak opponents, but against a fairly decent attack his weaknesses show too clearly. A calamity all the time.
Zambro - Same as Oddo.
Pirlo - A decent outing. Solid in the middle and one of the consistencies of our side of late.
Ambro - Really has come into his own since Leo restricted his role to be more about defending than trying to attack.
Seedorf - Needs to help in defence more, a very lazy performance in this regard. Going forward though, he was incredible throughout.
Dinho - Some simply amazing passes in the match. He still has some magic in him.
Pato - Really the man carrying our attack more than anyone. He's unstoppable and the finish for his goal was brilliant.
Borriello - A target man who works hard for the team. His contribution has been great of late and really deserves to continue as our leading man.

Final word to Leo. I might be a little repetitive now, but this man deserves more credit than anyone at Milan right now. He's really turned things around and has some huge balls to do what he has. He may seem timid when interviewed, but I can't imagine many coaches taking the risks he's taken at a club like Milan with the squad he has. A great manager in the making for sure.

I hope and think that Leonardo can be a part of the Milan glory and history ... but he will need to improve some of his coaching skills. It was obvious that our defence couldn't defend on the same line, for two reasons:
- there were always one of our defenders forgetting to be on the same line as his partners which helped Cagliari players not to be offside
- against a team like Cagliari (players all coming in front of our defenders and running into spaces), defending on the same line is very difficult

So Leonardo should have told to Thiago Silva and Kaladze to stay a bit behind ... playing the offside trap is perfect when your players are actually able to do it, which, obviously, wasn't the case this Sunday, and it's seaier against teams trying to build their occasions slowly, so teams like Cagliari are very difficult to stop this way.

PS: I'm a bit hard because when your team concedes 3 goals, that means something is wrong, probably on the pitch, but like it's our coach who decides who goes on the pitch ... well, actually, I'm very happy with Leonardo and the way he is building a real team in Milan (so I just wanted to be the bad guy who criticizes for once ).
