Watching Inter v Barca and my god Inter are bad how this team is dominating serie a is beyond Jay. I guess they steamroller the smaller teams and have confidence against bigger sides , but they really have gone bacwards this last year under Mourinho. He plays ugly ugly football and watching them trying to play or even get the ball is bad for Inter. They cannot play football for all the players they have bought.

you all should see the save Frey just did at the death... if Fiorentina conceded, they could have been eliminated, but Frey kept that ball from point-blank range out and Fiorentina have made it through to the next round... wow it seems like its been forever since another Italian team has had success over an English one. I am so proud of Fiorentina and as usual I am ashamed and disgraced with this joke of a club Inter who never seem to fail to embarrass Italy.

at the beginning I rally wanted Inter to win, so Barca would be eliminated and also will have Inter playing for a longer period in CL, cuz letws be honest if Inter were only playing for the Scudetto we would not stand a chance against them(not that we are in much favored position right now) However seeing Inter play such a pathetic football u can not help but feel really happy they lost.

That was a pathetic display, against Barca without two of its best players.

Well, honestly, Inter are a very different team when Sneijder decides to play well. I don't think he is exactly the sort of trequartista that they were looking for, but there is no doubt that Inter are a sensationally boring team without Sneijder.

I think they should really get a more traditional trequartista, and it would be better if they let Sneijder form part of their midfield three with Cambiasso and Zanetti.

The only reason I wanted Inter to do well, is to make sure that Serie A can hopefully grow in strength. However, it really seems to be true that they are a team that cannot really have sustained offensive pressure in big games, and that is because they do not have midfielders who can pass well, or a conduit for their attacks to flow through.

If anyone needed a player like Diego, etc, it is Inter, and they are suffering considerably because of it. Their workman-like team is perfect for the league, they grind out results and they over-power teams to force their way through. However, against top clubs, when the pressure is on, they falter because they cannot hold rhythm in the attacking third.

When you rely on your right-back for creativity, you know you got problems.

One thing is that Inter were comprehensively beaten and outplayed - I thoroughly enjoyed that!

Another thing entirely is that Inter were comprehensively beaten and outplayed with zero (yes, 0 as in none whatsoever) Italians in the lineup. (And when Balotelli was finally brought on, he was beyond pathetic).

I for one cannot wait to see the 6+5 rule implemented!

Inter suck balls. Mourninhos teams are all the same, just machines to grind out results, he is not a good tactician, his only skill is his ability to put together a team that can deliver results. What kind of Serie A team are they if they don't even have one italian in their first team line up?? that shouldn't even be allowed.

Dinho and Totti could somehow "sense" the scoring chance and the movements of teammates, so their decision are the quickest. In their prime, they can shoot, run/dribble pass opponents or make an assist. I still remember the through ball to Giuly (Milan-Barca 2006) or Dinho's "dancing" shot at Chelsea-Barca match. Those are unpredictable.

Xavi, Pirlo, Beckham,... are tacticaly intelligent, but Dinho and Totti are gifted talent.

Yes, Xavi has most precise passer in the world right now, but he cannot think quick enough to cut tight defenses with his passing. Chelsea 2 games last season, Manchester final, 2 games against Inter this season, and ZERO Xavi's assists on the ground, just one cross.

As Aficio said, Totti and Ron are natural, they have natural sense to pass the ball in the right moment, in that way so defense couldn't get to it, but the striker can. Rui Costa was that kind of player also, for me the best I've seen in that.

I don't think we should judge Inter's or any team's performance against Barca
First of all, this Barca is just out of this world...too fast for anyone, passing is superb......every now and then a team emerges that is simply too good for the rest of the world (like Ajax in the 1994-1995).

But truth be told, Inter doesn't look good in the CL at all
