he might not be ready yet to be our starting eleven, but he could be our backup CB atm - he is young, he has been used to Serie A, and most importantly he could learn a lot from Nesta (while Nesta still playing ) ..if really possible, I kinda like the idea of having Astori back by Jan http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=14791 Last edited by edysupriadi; 10-12-2009 at 20:38. |

Good player... but someone will put there foot in their mouth and try to say he is foolish like Robinho!!! Bastos is a luxury milan cant afford!!!!
on the other hand milan have more urgent need eg. Cafu and Serginho type fullbacks and Dzeko!!!!

If we did all agree, what would be the need to have a forum ? To discuss ? About what ?
About Bastos, he's not ready for Milan, let him become a sure starter in Lyon ... look at his performances in Ligue 1, he's not that good this year. It's a bit like Niang, one good performance in CL (for Lyon, it was against Debrecen, a team that lost all their games in CL) doesn't mean that player is a phenom. Bastos has a lot of talent, a very good left-foot, but if he isn't a sure starter in Lyon with guys like Govou, how can he be good enough for moment with guys like Ronaldinho and Pato ? |

i haven't seen any of them play but could some plz tell me why not use our own 20 yr-old? what message would we be sending to our young players when we go get a young player from another team when we need backup for the 1st team??? if we were getting Gerard Pique i would understand.... |

Hell ya LebRN!
I forget to mention Michelangelo. He has been one of our most talented players for years now from the youth squad, and he did proof his talent at the World Cup -20 when he was chosen in the best team of the tournament. He is young and i think if there is a oppurtunity to give the kid a chance, then it is now. For sure he is much more solid then KK,and looking at the long term he will be a better choice then Favalli. But lets not forget,i think Leo will give Bonera some minutes against Palermo and the matches after that Bony will play for sure,i think this is the solution Leo will use. |

sure, if Bonera is available, he would be the best solution...
and news if he is? i know the Mongongu stuff are just rumours, but i just hate even being linked to young players like that...i think of the effect they could have on the morale of our players |

tuttomercatoweb say milan has 20 mil to spend on 2 defenders
not bad. i mean you can get two talented defenders for 20 mil. thiago'a cost was around 8mil clauses included. european would cost a bit more but we can get rafinha + a cb for 20 mil

For those of posters who have seen Albertazzi play, is he actually as good as advertised? I mean, I have been hearing his name for a couple of years now and yet he still can't manage to break into the first team. Is that just a coaching/management thing or is he a tad overrated? I am not judging if he is better than Mongongu, I just want to know if he is truly as good as they say.

^^ I think Albertazzi has the potential to be great, but at this point can't be relied on frequently. His positioning and awareness are very good but physically I think he'd be dominated.
World Soccer magazine published many awards this month. Ronaldinho won player of the decade (I would have probably said Zidane or Maldini personally) and both Pato and Adiyiah were in the top 10 of the young player of the year list (Pato at 2nd behind Aguero and Adiyiah 10). |

Anyone seen Mongungu play? What kind of player he is?
i read some news about him,as his agent says he is close to Milan,he has french passport,so Non eu status wont be a problem! i'd rather to spend 20 m euros on 1 quality player than spending 2 bench players. Both Antonini and Abate is doing well, with Nesta's leadership,we wont have much problem there.T.Silva and Nesta are rock solid, for me best partnership in the world without question. i'd rather to sign one box to box player first. Simplicio is ideal player for 4-3-3 but his age makes me think,as a reserve,he could do well. if we can find a world class gk at right price,we should sign him otherwise,we should stay as we are. |

Milan Lab is producing ont only health medical care, but a strong kind of drugs from which you like older people more! So we have decided to give Dinho and Dida new contracts, great.
News: Bari defenders Rannochia(!) and Bonucci are most likely Juve players, specially Ranocchia, according to Bari sport director Perinett. As far as I understood what I've heard on tv. I dont like the job Galliani is doing within the margins of serie a mercato. There are good and young italian defenders who can be our 3rd solution, players like Rannochia, Criscito ( fullback, CB ), Bocchetti etc. Its not neccessary to go and buy players abroad all the time. We did well in primavera where we bought 4,5 great young talents, but that is a normal thing that Juve and Inter are doing for years now and Milan only decided to do this year when they didnt spend a penny in mercato. Transfer policy will go the same way as I can see it. We are talking about 20mln in winter mercato for defenders - I doubt it! It would be nice that we buy one good Cb to play with Thiago and NEsta, and use Bonera as well, as Kaladze can leave Milan as soon as transfer opens up. But Kaladze is a player that is deeply connected with Berlusconi's family etc. Also: calciomercato says players ike Gattuso, Inzahi, Abbiatti are in a "war" with Leo and want to play more but Leo is insisting on Ambrosini-Flamini, strong CF to help Dinho and Pato and Dida...
