Mwa,the players dont have strong arguments to attack Leo with.

Ambrosini is in great shape,and after he is rested against Palermo he will return fit and healthy and then he can run even more,and Flamini can cover allot of ground and has always done well when the team needed him.Ambro deserves his place in this team,without a doubt,and Flamini deserves a proper chance.Rino should be silence until he is match fit.

I feel the most sorry for Abbiati,he performed as a world class goalkeeper last year,making numerous saves.He really did well and consistent,but now Dida is between the posts and he is doing a great job.The difference between Dida and the other goalies are that Dida has worldclass quality in him,he can make saves that Abbiati and Storari only can dream of.

And Inzaghi...well i dont think he complained allot,and we,he and everybody else knows that he will not be our CF....

Also,MGT should look hard in Italy or abroad(i dont really care)to sign a WC defender on the cheap.Thiago Silva is one of the best defenders without a doubt this time around and he only cost around 10 million.We need to make another Silva-like signing.

Dida world-class quality has gone a long time ago. His only world-class quality are reflexes, his positioning is average (comparing him to WC keepers), his handling is joke, he can't be worse on crosses, his shaky moments put fear in our defense...

On the other hand, Abbiati was bordering on world-class last year, and if I am Leonardo I'd put him on goal as soon as he's fully fit. He's better than Dida in all departments (positioning, HANDLING, super secure off the line, quicker..) except that Dida can make a super-save on the occasion that Abbiati can't.

That rows are all rumors, Gattuso and Abbiati are not fully fit, Pippo plays fairly often and he was never a kind of player who would fight the coach over playing time, even when he was one of the best strikers around.

i've never been a great fan of Abbiati really. i don't believe Abbiati's positioning is that great and he's quick of his line because he's always off his line..if you can check all the long range goals that we used to concede because of that (probably not from last season but the seasons before)

anyway, i think Leo will always favor Dida over Abbiati and with Abbiati's status and the presence of Storari & Roma i think the best solution would be to offload him in Jan (if we can get some cash for him) and replace Dida with maybe a Marchetti in June...

on another note, i was just reading about Adiyiah really impressing in training with his extraordinary speed and good technique...(are we seriously becoming a FAST team now with Adiyiah, Pato, Antonini, Abate, Silva??? )

anyway, he won't be available to start the new year with us because he will be at the African Nations Cup which is probably a good thing to see him in action against the likes of Toure, Mikel, Taiwo...before joining the 1st team.
i just hope he plays and he turns out to be up to the expectations and not get back injured or sg

one last interesting note, Leo has also talked about Albertazzi; it seems that he does realize that a lot of people are questioning whether he should be introduced to fill in with Thiago and Bonera both out and it seems that he would probably like to see that too but is not quite sure that Albertazzi is ready...obviously we cannot argue with Leo about that judgement, obviously he knows better, but i have to say i'm a bit disappointed...

can't wait for our 1st cup match, maybe we can see some of the young promising guys in action

Some reports are saying this isn't true, but there is a general consensus that it's not as bad as it was feared, and nowhere near 2 months out. Most likely he'll be out until the Genoa game, maybe until Juve. So he'll miss 2, 3 games.

Just saw Bari beat Juve....very impressive. I am impressed with their right back Maisello or something like that, he was amazing. Very solid defensively and great going forward. Grosso also played very well after coming on as a substitute, he's definitely going to be important in South Africa. I also can't believe how Giovinco is still on the bench, this kid can start in any team in the world!

Poor Juve, they're really messing up. I think its about time they hire Roberto Mancini. I expect the announcement to happen in a couple of days.

And I've also read that Adiyiah impressed them in training with his speed and skills, but to be honest every team hypes the new players up as soon as they join. Remember Oliveira? Huntelaar even?

they will hire lippi's son as agent and coach. juve derserves it. ferrara was never the coach its lippi who is running things. wake up hitman

WHAT?!

So you actually think that Dida is good enough to be our keeper till the rest of the season?! If Abbiati leaves in January I will stop visiting this forum until June because I'll know we won't win anything.

Abbiati was great last season, forget the time when he was Dida's substitute, he's now experienced and calm goalkeeper. He didn't made any big mistakes last season (for which is Dida known) and he saved our ass on many occasions.

Abbiati was one of the protagonists of us winning the title back in 1999 (he was a third choice at the beginning of the season, virtually unknown keeper), if it wasn't for him and his amazing saves, we would end up third or something. But he was very young then and mentally unstable so after one bad day, he would continue with bad games, then he lost his no. 1 spot to Rossi, later to Dida, then he was loaned, and to be fair was very good at Juve... So don't worry, Abbiati is going nowhere, if Galliani thought he was no good for us, he would sold him a long time ago.

Anyway, with Silva now injured, it may seem appropiate to pick up another CB? But besides that here is another rumour that seems plausible:

AC Milan are planning to raid Arsenal for defender Armand Traore.

The French left-back, who is third in the Gunners' pecking order behind Gael Clichy and Kieran Gibbs, has made just three appearances this season.

France Under-21 international Traore spent last season on loan to Portsmouth.

However Milan, who lie four points behind arch-rivals Inter at the top of Serie A, hope to add the Paris-born player to their squad next month.

And the San Siro giants will test manager Arsene Wenger's resolve to hold on to Traore, who he signed from Monaco in 2006, with a £5m offer.

The six-footer could now find himself playing alongside David Beckham, who is due to join Milan on loan once again from Los Angeles Galaxy.

Whoever is doubting Abbiatti's prescence on the team is CRAZY! Firstly, it is Roma who will be offloaded, and if the oppurtunity arises, Dida to Brazil due to his hefty contract..... But with Nelson playing at this level, it seems unjustified for Leo to push him to the bench.... To offload him later on, maybe!

Anyway, if we are leading a match comfortably, it wouldn't hurt to introduce Albertazzi. So far, leo hasn't thought of trying out youngsters even when the result had long been decided....

I wouldnt mind seeing Dida on a plane to Brasil in the summer and Abbiatti starting as a no.1 GK from next year.

Dida was a world class GK, and is doing fine now with his good streak. But he is, in my oppinion, too much of a risk for a long planning.

All in all, I'd sell all of them and buy Marchetti so we can have one secure any farely young GK that has talent and a stabile future in fron of him. Its important for the defence to have such GK and not to have 4 GK's rotating.

What's wrong with Garay? Do we have anyone better on our bench already? He is young, big, and pretty good on both ends.

I think this game shows how much we need to spend on the winter transfer market. Surprisingly, we are in pretty good shape in Serie A right now and if we can continue to play at a high level, we might actually have a shot at the title. That, however, is not possible if we continue to play a 11 men rotation (ie. no bench players whatsoever). We need at least 3-4 new players to fill out the gap on our bench so that we won't have to start losing every time one of our starters is injured or having a bad game.

Enough with the "Abbiati should start!" mishmash. He was very good last season until his knee was ripped to pieces and he was on the shelf for eight months. As a result, he's a question mark and won't be starting anytime soon with Storari second in the pecking order. Dida missed the preseason due to injury and had to earn his spot back as a result. Storari wasn't handed back the gloves on a silver platter after recovering from his scorpion kick mishap.

If you guys insist he's so ready to play, how come Leo has called him up just once this season (and that itself was a sympathy vote)?

We're linked with Kjær and Pandev. As far as I remember Kjær has a 12 M euro's Buy-out clause, I've watched him withthe national team quite a few times now, and he's impressive. Perhaps it's getting to the point where he actually is worth 12 M. Furthermore he seems to have problems with Zamparini at the moment, after Zamparini accused Kjær's agent (His father), of spreading false rumours about Kjær.
