I'm not convinced he is milan class. If it was up to me I wouldnt sign him. talented player no doubt, but like I said before Im not 100% convinced.

I don't know anything about this Belgian player, Filipez ?
Dembele is a strong technical player, very good dribbler. IMO he's at his best as a winger. he has played as winger, AM and as a striker. but his biggest problem is that he doesnt score enough, not for his dutch team AZ or the belgian national team. He's got some talent and will get better as he is still young, 22 I think. But I dont think he will ever be good enough to be a starter here. a few years back he looked more promising but he hasnt progressed in recent years. at this moment he's even a bench player at AZ due to bad form.

why are most milan fans dying to see Pandev here? I mean, yeah he is talented but he always always chokes when it counts. There's no way I'd want him here. A lot of people are talking about:
- Jovanovic (who will be free in the summer, and is cup tied, so logically a summer target)
- Krasic (cup-tied and expensive and his team is currently in the CL, it will be him or Jovanovic in the summer, price:15m)
- Dembele (cup-tied, however AZ are in crisis and need cash. he used to be promising but his progress has slowed down, price:10m)
- Lukaku (unrealistic as most of the other big teams want him and are loaded with cash,price:~15m)
- Schelotto (unknown argentine talent playing in Cesena, price:<5m)
- Pandev (will be free, but has been linked with inter for months now)
- Dzeko (cup-tied, most likely will be a summer target. price:20m)

my fantasy (and expensive) signings would be:
- maurito zarate (30m)
- hernanes (15m)
- clichy (18m)
- drenthe (5m)
- santacroce (10m) - however he's not needed immediately, we can get him in 2 years when Nesta retires
- balotelli
- robinho (20m)

personally i believe all of those are available...i would be happy if we signed any one of them in the next couple of years

Pandev is going to be a rotation player behind Ronaldinho and Pato, not a starter. He doesn't have to be clutch because he won't really play in big matches unless Pato or Ronaldinho is injured. We need talented guys to come off bench to give starters a rest from here and there.

Hey guys, just looking at our club page on Wiki.....

We have so many players on loan at other clubs!
The only thing is, only a small handful are worth looking at. The others are lacking in any potential and should be sold....

The players that I think may be promising include: Alberto Paloschi (of course), Kingsley Umunegbu, Elia Legati and Astori (could we bring him back now? Probably not).....

I am worried at how few matches players such as Darmian are playing, and little surprised that Digao is rotting in the reserves of a serie B side....

That's sad, isn't it? However, on Dida's (possible) renewal, I would say that he actually might deserve it. Apart from the huge blunder that gifted Raul the goal, Dida has impressed, and I wouldn't mind if he gets a one-year renewal at a GREATLY REDUCED salary. He would be a nice backup, but I wouldn't cry a river if he leaves. I am INDIFFERENT between Dida staying and leaving.

Also, I read that we are interested in Inler (Udinese). That sounds good to me. When is the transfer window open by the way, January 1 to 31?

there's a possibility of one more non-eu spot per season opening up, and that can happen if one of team's non-eu players goes to another country.
first of all thanks Stitch for the reply.

i did read some article about the same rule you mentioned up there that started in the 2008-9 season but it did not mention anything about the total number of non-eu players in a team...so i was not sure if there was actually no limit but i guess you are correct since i haven't found any article that says the opposite.

so for this season, the non-eu spot was taken by Thiago Silva which he is totally worthy of
and i guess the release of Viudez allowed for the signature of Adiyiah
Onyewu has a belgian passport so he is not taking any spot (thank god because his mere signature is mistake enough)
so i guess our only option now is to loan out Adiyiah to be able to sign a non-eu player because even if we sold Dida (for example) to free a non-eu spot, we can't use it this year since we have already made 2 non-eu signings which is the max per season.....right?

ok one more question, is Kaladze non-eu???

oh and by the way, didn't the sale of Kaka free a non-eu spot?

I'd add Osuji to your list, I think he's got a lot of potential.

What Leo and the management need to do is set out a plan for the future development of the club. Right now we have a lot of players who are fairly old and soon will need replacing.

Leo's started well at Milan. So far he's managed to get the team playing together and play with stronger desire. However, at this point he's still got an unbalanced system that is relying on individual talents rather than a single unit. This is most evident when Nesta or Thiago are out, as suddenly our defence looks exposed when there is a drop in quality as we don't cover too well in midfield. Nesta and Thiago are top class defenders and that's why we can work with the current system.

For me, Leo's now got to consolidate what he's built up so far, which is why I don't blame him for not constantly rotating. However, in future he has to try and gradually change from us relying on individuals (Nesta or Thiago at the back, Pirlo spreading play from the centre, Ronaldinho assisting from wide left and Pato adding a spark down the right), to becoming a single balanced unit that works together. By doing this we will add consistency and balance to the side.

This is where our transfers and youth are really important. The reason we're in our current situation is we have in recent years bought players based on their individual talent without enough consideration to how they'd fit into our structure in the team or squad. Leo is slowly outlining his methodology and approach as a manager, which is the identity he so often speaks about. In order to support him we need to buy players who fit into his gameplan.

This is why youth players like Verdi, Osuji, Pasini, Albertazzi and Paloschi are so important for our future. Each one has characteristics which we can use with our current approach to the game, which has width, technical quality and a high work rate.

I hope the club is planning well for the future, and we'll know based on future transfers.

Agreed, though it's important he takes a BIG paycut.

A renewal of Dida's contract (as being reported by Tuttpsport) must b accompanied by a reduced salary, and should only be for 1 year...IMO anyway.

A heavily reduced salary! He should not be in the top 10 paid players at the club let alone top 3.

I still think he should be let go as no matter how good his reactions are, he is still inconsistent and does not bring confidence to our defence.

After Galliani made 15 wrong purchases in mercato and gave those crap players wages that belong to players like Totti and Maldini, Milan went into big nimus in financial aspect of mercato moving.

Now Galliani is cutting the wages to all players, meanwhile wasting non-eu spaces on **** players and creating new contracts for Dida, signing Roma etc.

It was easy to sign players while Berlusconi was paying 2 times more then the rest of the Europe, now Galliani is doing nothing.

An article I found on tuttomercato says this: Milan will maybe go for Maldonado and Astori in winter. Beckham wil arrive for midfield and Adiyiah did not impress in training and heasnt showed that he could be a class player. Milan "looked" for Ivanovic but that will not happen etc. Also it says milan has zero chance for Pandev ( coz Galliani is late as usual! ).

When Chelsea was offering us Ivanociv to buy him, Galliani wanted one year trial! Places clause in Gourcuff's contract and signed "the best U20 player"... So much about his talent vision. Also Gattuso said publicly that Milan lost Torres becouse they decided in Milan Torres is not a world class player... Good that Boriello is BorriGOL!

Kaladze doesn't have an EU passport

http://www.footballdatabase.com/inde...khaber_Kaladze

Kaka's sale, or Viudez's release, one of those freed up 2nd non-eu place for us, so it doesn't matter if we sell all of our Brazilians now, we can't buy more than 2 non-eu players per season
