he did...but Dida was to thank for those goals more than Rooney should be credited! but mzk makes a very valid point, Rooney is not a world class striker, not yet at least, he is extremely over-rated.
the advantage we have over manchester, is that they lack players of the ultra world-class calibre, players that can potentially win the Golden Ball.. they don't have any player that can turn a game around single handedly... Milan has quite a few: Nesta, Pirlo, Seedorf, R80, Inzaghi. I wish to add Pato but I don't think he's at that level just yet. I still think he wastes too many chances 'cause of poor decisions. the biggest worry for Milan is having to play at OT the second leg. that's going to be the only reason this is not going to be an easy game for Milan. I've watched Man U play 2 games in the last week and they won both games with a big margin, however I don't think they are a great team..they have way too many flaws (granted that they have alot of players injured). |

2 games is not good enough... in the San Siro game against Real, he scored a wonderful goal however in the rest of the match he wasted so many chances he shouldnt have. (not necessarily infront of the goal, but promising build up play). Against Roma he had a good goal and an average performance, he was by no means "great". I agree with you that he was great at the Bernabeu but in other games where it mattered (Inter, Zurich, Marseille) he was just another player on the pitch...actually worse, he always disappointed.

True that... But if Dihno is playing well, then Pato is sure to be dangerous.

I just saw Manchester-Leeds today and suprise suprise Leeds won 0-1 at United!
It confirms everybody's thoughts that United are a whole different team without Ronaldo, everybody can beat them now.If you watch them it really confirms the things we said about them. They just miss somebody who really can make a difference, somebody who can win a game with one individual move,Ronaldo was that person and now they expect Rooney to do this, but he cant. I am really confident if we play them, ofcourse i dont underestimate them, they are still 1 of the best in the world and much stronger then us.But we really have a chance against them, they dont have much dangerous players. |

Meh, don't think Man Utd are all that bad despite that lose. They're still second in the league and won their group in the Champions League.
Still I love when they lose since I loath them. It's a pretty embaressing lose aswell, especially since Man Utd and Leeds apparently hate eachother. |

Well, last time we beat Man Unt. everyone, including the ridiculously patriotic commentators had written us off due to our domestic form. We are different to United though. I think we can see thier struggles in England as a good sign for the CL playoff.

Just want to say that beside having Rooney and Berba, ManU played with their B-squad. And ManU did not win the group with those players.
Anyhow, if everyone is healthy, ManU will be tough. But they do lack firepower upfront, something that Milan must take advantage of. |
