If we wouldve signed crespo instead of gila, and gila wouldve been gone to juve or fiorentina we would even now cry about that!
very true....i know from my side, i was so excited that we bought Gila back then...i was watching him play with a small pitiful Parma team and was left all alone in attack and would score in practically every game...and not a silly tap-in, but some gr8 solo effort
he flopped with us for one reason or another, maybe it was the system, maybe it was psycholigical, maybe both....for whatever reason....he was a flop

but this is a risk with all big money transfers: look at Juve this yr (Diego, Melo, Amauri), or even Dinho last yr, Cassano at Real, Berbatov, Babel, Mancini, Quaresma, ....
the list can go on and on .....and all these are quality players that for some reason or another failed to live up to expectations at big clubs

Dzeko? although i also agree that there should be other priorities, i'm pretty sure he will come in the summer...having expressed his love to Milan, Galliani will do exactly the same thing he did with Dinho and force his club to reject bigger offers from other clubs (like Man City for Dinho) and then force them to sell us for a considerably lower price because he knows the player is not going to accept any other offer. and inserting Kaladze & Jankulovski too is probably the best thing in that deal because we really have to offload these guys.

However, getting Dzeko, won't only mean that Huntelaar will leave, but I'm pretty sure Boriello won't accept the bench anymore...

Guys I was super-excited when Gila came, he was brilliant at Parma but let's think logically, when we look back, it was better to keep Crespo, who was scoring regularly for us than to splash 25 mil. on Gila. Yes, that was our management biggest mistake for years, and that's when the boat started to sink, again I say this and I stand behind every word! That's what happens when you buy the player on the position you don't need one.

LebRN, if Dzeko comes, Borriello will have to fight for first team football. Who the **** he is to refuse to sit on the bench?! Shevchenko in his prime was most complete striker in the world, beside El phenomeno the best striker in the world since Marco Van Basten hung up his boots, and when Rivaldo came Shevchenko told the press that he's willing to fight for the first team place. You're becoming first team player by working hard and playing good not by "Oh I'm great I don't want to sit on the bench". All of our coaches in the last 20 years didn't bother with players like that, only the best were playing. Arrigo Sacchi, our greatest coach ever and probably the greatest coach of all-time was eager to get rid of ANY player who do not fulfill his demands, even if it was Marco Van Basten or, latter, Roberto Baggio.

so many rumours today and so much to discuss!!!

Flamini to Tottenham for Gareth Bale???
to be honest, i would be really sad to see Gattuso staying at the expense of Flamini...not only is he a better player, but several yrs younger as well....that would be a real shame and i hope it will not happen...maybe they are discussing a loan deal till the end of the season (now that we have cover for Ambrosini & Pirlo in the shape of Gattuso & Beckham) and we get Bale also on loan but i sure hope they won't include a buyout clause for Flamini like they did with Gourcuff....surely we won't do the same mistake twice!!!

Sergio Canales???
that is one rumour i hope will materialize
he's 18 yrs old, very talented, have been followed by Barca since he was 12 and now both Barca & Real want him and he will be out of contract at yr-end which is probably why our management noticed him in the 1st place....
but this free transfer could actually do some good to the team. could he be the next Pato-like revelation for us???

Manchester United, Liverpool, Valencia..
...all big clubs in real financial mess. i've mentioned once in a previous post here that the only explanation for our current cheap transfer policy that would make sense is if we end up finding ourselves in such a better financial situation than the other big teams that they would be struggling to fulfill the coming financial requirements for champions league participation while we won't....so should we be thankful to our management??? i know a lot of guys won't think that is true....but i sure hope it is the case...

Don't worry, Flamini is going nowhere. Flamini was an investment for the future, kind of, even if he came for free. Ambro is 32 now, Gattuso is 33, for a year or two Flamini will be a starter. Again, that thing about working hard and playing well, Flamini got his chance at the start of the season in front of our captain (!) Ambrosini, so if he's good there no reason for Leonardo not to play him.

If some young players are used by Leonardo today, we will see if we can have faith in our youth or not in the near future ...

I 100% agree ....that the coach should have the complete authority to bench or get rid of any player who thinks he is too good to stay on the bench or get substituted...

I can't believe how so many of us want Inzaghi to be sold or have his contract not renewed this summer. This guy has sweated BLOOD for Milan. This guy loves Milan more than any of us. And HE STILL is one of the best strikers in the world at 36 years old. I cannot believe at times I have asked to see Huntelaar instead of Inzaghi, I am ashamed of myself. Even after a Coppa Italia game against Novarra, Inzaghi shows what a legend he truly is. People are so quick to forget......

As far as I'm concerned Pippo must be ahead of Huntelaar in the selection order. If KJH doesn't like that, let him find a wall around him and bang his head on it. He's done nothing to deserve a place ahead of Boriello nor Pippo. Not too long ago I was arguing that Huntelaar could be great in Milan, but with the effort he's putting in, he's just another Gilardino.

FORZA FILIPPO INZAGHI.

I agree. I also think Leo isn't stupid, and next time Borri is subbed, i'm sure it's going to be for Pippo.

i want to see a milan thats ready to promote youngsters in my opinion de vito will be ready soon but must be given more playing time di gennaro looks like a disaster didnt even have speed or ball posession no wonder in the preseason he was using di gennaro like pirlo, astori,de vito, veri, paloschi will all be ready real soon what im worried about is whose gona replace nesta we have to find out soon, and again, again whose besides abate will be a midfielder that can attack, honestly guys i beleive that abate has the LWB possesion all to him, I WISH WE CAN STOP THIS OBSESSION WITH A STRIKER WE'VE SPENT TOO MUCH ON STRIKERS ALREADY!

The funny thing is that alot of you are assuming Dzeko will come in and starts over Borriello. What if it is the opposite? And Dzeko ends up sitting on the bench with a 25mil price tag? Have any of you think of that?
I mean, as of now, Borriello has a very good chance in making the WC. If he does and plays well for Italy, I am 100% sure Berlu won't even splash a cent on another striker.

The thing is that Pato, Hunter and Borreillo will most likely be call into the WC. And once you are there, anything can happen. Plus if all three do well, Galli will be stupid to splash any money on another striker.

In regards to Pippo, it is not March yet, thats when he plays his best football.

I don't want to argue about Borriello's contribution right now. He certainly is doing quite well and is surpassing a lot of expectations. The problem, however, is that I think Borriello is more of a complimentary player than a franchise player. The difference here is that a complimentary player plays with the flow of the team. When the team is doing well, he does well; when the team is struggling, he struggles with them. Whereas Dzeko, with all his skills and capabilities can be shaped into a franchise player, someone who can single handedly win games for us the same way Shevchenko and Kaka did.
