what a silly rumour. no way kaka will return, after all real madrid has done to get him.

I wish we can keep flam and hunter. now we are fighting for scudetto and are still in CL, we cant loose our 2best benchwarmers, these players can still be very important!

Let's look at our squad now (assuming Flamini and Huntelaar leave):

GK: Abbiati, Dida, Roma

RB: Zambrotta, Abate, Oddo Bonera

LB: Antonini, Zambrotta, Jankulovski, Favalli

2 CBs: Nesta, Thiago Silva, Bonera, Kaladze, Onyewu, Favalli

DM Ball-winning: Ambrosini, Gattuso, Jankulovski, Strasser

DM Creative: Pirlo, Seedorf, Beckham

AM: Seedorf, Pirlo, Beckham, Ronaldinho, Di Gennaro

RW: Pato, Adiyah, Beckham, Abate

LW: Ronaldinho, Pato, Seedorf, Jankulovski

ST: Borriello, Pippo, Pato

I think we're covered pretty well in every position (except maybe CB) when we sell the two. They're too good to stay on the bench, but haven't proven themselves worthy of a starting shirt. You can argue that neither does Rino, but what can you do.

I think selling them is fallout from our transition to the 433 which has one less midfielder (Flamini) and a striker (Huntelaar) than the 4312. We gain two wingers (Adiyah and Beckham).

i cannot dissagree more brk..i felt sad when i saw your squad..

abate and antonini??i was the only person in here during pre-season tha said antonini should be a starter..but zambrotta is even worse than oddo(literally speaking),abate is too mediciore to start, and antonini cannot be compared with wc full backs(we are a wc team, arent we??)

nesta-ts=excellent..but as you said after them there is noone, please dont even mention kaladze,favalli..bonera??hmm..

janku ball winning dmc??since when mate?dont confuse his abilities with the positions he can actually play..this year's ambro is an outstanding player,i'm sorry to say the opposite for rignho(of course you may say he just came back,so u never know..)

beckham will stay fo 2 months and he will leave,i d put him out with fla and kjh..it will be a long season,or at least i hope so..

you ve put dinho, pato and seedorf each of them on 2-3 positions, which means that if one of them gets injured we miss him(as a choice,at least)in all of them..let alone onyewou, strasser,di gennaro, adiyah(for now)..

you cannot possibly expect a team with this squad(fla-kjh-beckhs out)to challenge for serie a and c.l. at the same time..this is a squad tha cannot rotate at any possible way the same strategy!if one player cant play then you have to place a whole different team on the field..when i see inter's squad(23 players, not only starters,we have competitive starters),chelsea's,man unt's ,real's,barca's etc i honestly feel lucky to have Leonardo making us seem as competitive as them..

i have some thoughts after brk reply

i think tha milan even without flamini and huntelar can win serieA title and if we swap flamini with robhinio we have the chance to transform a guy with tones of skill into a real player if this happen we are complete in attacking midfielders line and without penny spend

i think our biger concern is summer not january if hunt give us money and dzeko is really closed for for milan with the 50% of palosci our attack line is more than good

i believe that next season kaladze, favali(maybe jancu too),gatusso, seedorf (propably not on stasting 11),and injachy, will be out of team
thinking of that i summarise that we can be great with 3 moves

1st buy normal RB and bring abate on midfielders again then gatusso prob is ok for us

2nd buy a young good center back i prefer one of the italian guys santacore and the bari one(really good player

and the most important cover seedorf place with a very skillful player this is the only one tranfer that have to be big! i think 25-30 million must be spend

i know we are not on 90s financial lvl but we are milan ! we can spend these money is not enormous bugdet for us

about pirlo place we have some time to search and try young player to do the job but seedoerf must be cover till summer with high quality solution

Flamini will be a Citizen?

CNN reported today that Mancini is interested to land Flamini in City of Manchester stadium in loan.
I hope Milan dun let him go. In our very moment formation of Leo: 4-2-1-3, Mathieu is the best subtitute for Pirlo when he is not available. I can't see the formation work well in offensive department with Ambro and Rino playing together.

I'm pretty sure Beckham is with us until the end of the season.

Jankulovski can take over from Ambrosini in an emergency. Remember, he's originally a winger, or a left midfielder. He's very versatile.

I think the key to our squad depth now are Beckham, Jankulovski and Seedorf. Those three can play in a lot of different roles and are great for 'filling in the gaps'. We don't literally need two for every position, just two players that can play in a specific role (even if they can also play in another one too).

I don't know, I just don't think we have such a weak squad. The only weakness is our CB, if one of them breaks, we're dead. We're proving that our FBs, no matter how non-world class, are still pretty good and we have four or five of them now.

i am not saying we have a weak side..i dont believe so..

the reason of my post was mostly to emphasize that we cant afford loosing flamini and hunter, actually both of them are really important so as to be competitive all year long..

both galliani and beckham said he is leaving on march man, like last year..he is forced to..

I think we just got our answer to why Jankulovski was played as a midfielder against Novara and then came in on the same position against Siena. So Janku will be the cover in midfield that Flamini was until now.

Brk, I agree that the fullbacks have been more then decent. Actually Antonini in the past month and a half or so has been one of the best fullbacks in Italy. So don't warry about the "world class" nonsence that people in this forum are obsessed with. For me, there is "world class FORM". As for "world class players", those are a few people in the world that have been playing in a "world class FORM" for years. Pepole like Nesta, J.Zanetti, Giggs, Seedorf, etc. People that have been concidered as top of their generation 15 years ago, and are still concidered top of their generation 15 years later. So people, please lay off the "world class" nonsense.

As for Abate, I'm not convinced myself and maybe it's the mindset that he is not REALLY a RB but you know what....he hasn't been bad.

I'm pretty sure Beckham stayed until the end of the season last year. Didn't he? He's also here until the end, right?

Competing on so many fronts and yet we are on the verge of giving away/loaning the only thing resembling depth. The top lesson from the last few seasons is not yet learnt by management in my opinion.

no brk he left on march,he didnt stay all season long,we tried to but no..

world class is just an expresion so as to separate players like antonini to players like maicon or dani alves..."world class form" or "world class for a month" sounds far more nonsence to me,literally..

considering that he is 28 already,he has done very little during his playing career..

and no even these 2 months, although he was more than good, he cannot be compared to maicon or dani alves or evra, ashley cole(i can name a lot more..).just because he isnt that talented or qualified attackingly..

M.O.I. , Beckham stayed in Milan until the end of the season last year. There was long negotiations between Milan and the Galaxy and Milan didn't want to pay the sum that L.A. was asking for. After that rummors have it that Beckham payed out of his own pocket to stay with us. Whatever happened, who knows.....but Beckham stayed with Milan until the end of the season.

This year, the deal runs until the end of the season....just so we can avoid last year's problems. So Beckham is here until June.

As for the World Class thing, I have absolutely no problem with what you are saying. If it is only an expression to separate players like Maicon, Alves, Cole, Evra from players like Antonini then fine. I totally agree with you.

THE problem that I have with the whole thing is that people start using that "expression" for other players that aren't worth of that tag. (ex. I've seen Rafinha reffered to as a possible "wc".)

World Class Form may sound as nonsence to you. Although Antonini isn't in world class form at the moment (I never said that he was, i only talked about that because of the overuse of the word "world class").....he is just having a very solid month and a half of football, and if he keeps it up until the end of the season then I'll say that this second half of the season he has been in world class form. Does that mean that he is a world class player?!?!? NO way! But for me, performances (and not name-tags) is what matters. And as long as Antonini performs the way he has been in the past month or two, then I have NO problem with him.

And I don't even know why you wrote your last part about comparing him to Maicon, Alves, Evra. I never compared him to them and I don't need to. I know football enough to see the fact that Maicon is 3 times the player Antonini is. The only thing I care about is that he does a solid job for us like he has been doing in the past 2 months. If that is going to be the case.....the I don't really give a sh!t if people reffer to him as "world class" or not. Because I stand by my opinion.....people here are obsessed with that 'expression' and overuse it.

To add my 2 cents, when you see Maicon nowadays, despite the fact that we all agree or almost to say he is a WC player, he has played like an average, or even worse, player this season ...

maicon was unknown until the age of 25 so he is a late bloomer, if you take a good look at our fullbacks development you will see they are developing immensely, which mean good things to come.

my mistake, yes beckham stayed till june last year, after we extended the loan deal..so i guess its the same this year..

i just wrote some "wc" players that i had in my mind when i said antonini isnt one,nefremo(e.g. its rediculous to say rafinha is wc,although he has some potential)..i agree with your points, and as i said i really like how antonini is performing, its just too little time to say i am happy (as a fan) with him as a starter for my team..its been only 2 months,it might just be a good period for him..and thats why i said that if he is a gr8 player, its odd to not have achieved more till now..

ps i agree maicon isnt playing like he is used to,but honestly that doesnt make hime any worse
