Lol, where the hell is Pato? When did he even get injured? And why's he taking soo long to get back? Honestly the people at Milan Lab need to get sacked, no other team in the history of football has so many irritating and persistent injuries.

Official: AC Milan out of Serie A race

We were unlucky hitting the crossbar twice , but Bologna were quite happy to let us have the ball and pass around midfield going nowhere. We need alot of new player's after Huntelaar came on we had no attacking options . If we want to do well against UTD we need to step up our game we won't have that much possesion. It looks as if Seedorf , Ambro , Dinho have played a full 60 game season already they look so tired. Something has to change Leonardo has done all he can.

As far as I see it he's the only one able to hold up the ball up front and create space for others to try something. Agreed Borriello doesn't have that golden touch to score goals out of nowhere but I still like him for his physical presence. Without him we would be totally lost. But he ain't no top striker and shouldn't be our first choice. (but he's the best we've got right now imo)


On the game itself:
Mudingayi had the midfield under control and really had Seedorf in his pocket.
Normally with our technique we should be all over this guy but..
Bonera was pretty good at the back, far better than our other backup CB's, had Di Vaio well covered and was positioned excellently. What do you guys think?

Other than that Abate offered the most speed an creativity together with Pirlo. I expected more from Mancini but I'd cut him some slack for now.

And Seedorf, do you need a walking stick?

Another poor performance. OK, it's official, Leonardo is getting on my ****in' nerves! I don't want to say anything else, so I'll give my player ratings...

Dida - - Had nothing to do all match, just one save;
Abate 6,5 - Solid in defense, tried in attack also, but nothing concrete;
Bonera 7,5 - Masterful performance for Bonera. Put Di Vaio in his pocket, masterful at creating offside traps, great timing... This guy always was class;
T. Silva 7 - Very good performance for Silva, Bologna hardly attacked so it would be overrating if he got higher rating (same as Bonera);
Antonini 6 - Solid in defense, not so good going forward, especially in the second half. He didn't offer enough support in attack;
Ambrosini 7 - Very good game by our captain, fought well, was unlucky to score a great header in the end;
Pirlo 7 - Based on the first half only, Pirlo would deserve 8,5, he showed everyone why he's probably the best deep-lying playmaker in the last decade, but he vanished in the second;
Seedorf 6 - Not among his best, but tried hard and had some good plays with his teammates;
Mancini 5 - Except the cross in the end, he did nothing. I don't know which of Leonardo's decisions was more catastrophic - playing him instead of Beckham from the start, or keeping him in the game till the end;
Borriello 5,5 - Poor performance, did nothing in attack, had some nice moves in the middle, but that's all;
Ronaldinho 6 - Nothing in the first half, made some nice passes in the second, and was unlucky to score a great volley;

Huntelaar 6 - Tried hard, had two chances, but he had a little time, he should've start;
Beckham 6,5 - Excellent game by Beckham, but as Huntelaar he was introduced to late.

Leonardo 5 - His decisions to play Mancini was mind blowing. The same with his persistance to start with Borriello. His substitutions were even worse. I still don't understand what he wanted to do with Huntelaar in place of Seedorf. Also, he took Ronaldinho out just as he was getting into the game, and let Mancini in.

That's old news. We were out of that after the derby. If we keep playing like this, we would be out of CL spot race in a few weeks.

We don't have a super squad (to say the least), so what have been driving us this far is the morale. The derby loss wasn't just a potential 6 points, but also this aftermath. It happened in the first half of the season, and now it is happening again.

This is not good. Leonardo should start doing something quick to reverse this.

Very frustrating game as we deserved the win imo. Our biggest fault today was 2 of our key creative players were terrible and the third is playing his first match in this side. The result is a lack of pressure in wide areas and in front of the Bologna defence, which was deep as it was. Even then we must admit we had bad luck on our side as we hit the bar twice and could have had a penalty.

The first half was particularly poor as none of our creative trio behind Borriello were in the match. Even then Pirlo played a great through ball which Borriello should have converted (if only he could use his right foot). We controlled the game, but when none of the creative talent besides Pirlo on the field do anything, then chances are hard to come by.

The second half started better, we were quicker on the ball and spread play better. Dinho and Seedorf actually looked like they wanted to actually play and it immediately improved our play as we nearly scored off a corner when Dinho hit the bar. Then Huntelaar coming on for Seedorf further added a body up front and he did improve the link up play in the side. Beckham for Dinho improved things further as we played a 4-4-2 (though at this point Ambro was essentially a third forward), which allowed us to use the wide areas to better effect. Again Pirlo played a great through ball which Huntelaar should have scored. Mancini could have scored soon after in a scramble and to sum up our day, Ambro hit the bar a second time in stoppage time.

Players...

Dida - one save but otherwise a spectator
Abate - Excellent, he was a constant threat down the right and was a good option. Very solid too.
Bonera - Great comeback with impeccable positioning.
Thiago - Very solid, looks more comfortable with Bonera than Favalli
Antonini - Struggled to get into the game at times as he had no one to pass to when trying to get forward, given Dinho's terrible performance.
Ambro - Unlucky not to score, but a very solid performance
Pirlo - Superb, it's a shame that he didn't have anyone else performing around him
Seedorf - Pathetic. Since his return our creative play has been atrocious and I don't think it's unrelated. Going off in a strop when subbed was ridiculous.
Dinho - Another terrible game. We really need an alternative to him next season as when he's poor he's just a waste of space.
Mancini - Struggled to make any real impact. I will give the benefit of the doubt as he's just joined.
Borriello - Could have scored a couple imo and he wasn't great. I don't blame him as the players behind him were crap.
Huntelaar - Not bad link up play, he was ok but not great
Beckham - Made an impact after coming on. Not great, but better than Dinho and Seedorf

We weren't good enough, but we could have scored a couple. We should have won, but the draw is due to our own ineptitude. Essentially, the contrast of the last two statements outlines our performance today, as we weren't good but we should have won.

We really need to get our act together as our creative talents aren't working at the moment. For the next match I'd seriously consider dropping Seedorf and pushing Pirlo back up to start with.
