The fact is that these few players to buy will cost a lot more than all the ones we could sell, which means that we need Berlusconi or whoever to spend some money this summer.

Also, selling most of our players (the ones from the bench) to buy 3-4 other ones (potentially starters) is going to destroy us for Serie A as we will have even less depth as we have nowadays (and we all know we almost have no depth !!).
Right, Inzaghi will go on free, but his salary? Why under valued players? Told me whats the price of Krasic, Hernanes, Dzeko...?

Oddo 1 million

Roma 0

Onyewu 2 million .

Huntelaar 10 million. He has been bad this season , not really his fault he has not got a proper run.

Inzaghi 0.

Seedorf 2 million.

That would mean losing 9 players and getting 20 million if even that , still not enough for Dzeko , Hernanes , Krasic or anyone else we would like .
We are fairly screwed financially and if people think Berlusconi will spend 30 - 40 million are mad. He moaned about signing Mancini he was free so who thinks he will spend money.
Your not realistic! Kaladze worth 6 milions. Look this http://www.milannews.it/?action=read&idnotizia=17529

Onyewu's price is minimum 5 milions. For Jankulovski we can take 4 milions. Huntelaar is about 12-15 m.
Аlso you should think of their salary, Dida, Seedorf, Pippo and Jankulovski have a bis salary.

If you refer to Wolfsburg: Dzeko is about 30M
If you refer to the agent of Hernanes: Hernanes is about 20-25M
For Krasic, I think it was around 15M.

It's already 65M or even more (it will also depend on the fact that other clubs join the race to sign them or not ...), and you mentionned one or two other players I think (Marchetti and another one, have to read again the post).

Of course, their value on the market is higher than their real value, but their respective clubs won't sell them cheaply as they are all key players in their current clubs ...

BTW I want to know against wich teams Dzeko scored*. a Milan striker needs to excellerate when playing against the big teams. someone like shevchenko who had goalscoring records against every big serie A team! he also scored against every big team in CL!!
I like borriello but it looks like he hasnt got that extra to perform in the big games; if thats the case we need to look further.

* I'm going to look for this

Edin Džeko:

09/10 season
20games 9goals (7assists)
He scored against: FC Köln, Schalke (2x), Hannover, Bochum, W.bremen (2x), frankfurt and Hamburt. but not against bayern and not against leverkusen, but they still have to play against leverkusen.

He also scored 4 in CL!!! and that is important IMO. shevchenko was brilliant in CL in his kiev days! Dzeko scored against: Man utd (home AND away), besiktas and CSKA moscow.
so it was clearly not his fault they are out of CL, now they play Villarreal in euro league. interesting to see how he does in that game!

all these stats dont prove anything, just some interesting facts to know about him

I have watched most of his goals again and it looks like everything is so easy for him, and thats a good thing. I watch many bundesliga games so I have a decent view on him. And IMO he is the striker we need. Torres is a better striker (now) than him but also much more expensive. I would take the gamble and sign dzeko!!

Why should I think of there salary , thats the reason no1 will buy them there salary is too high.

So because oF a rumour Kaladze is 100% worth 6 million , dude id take that but NOBODY would offer or pay 6 million for Kaladze or a 4 million for a 33 year old Jankulovski. Look at the prices players are going for nowadays Messi , Ronaldo Ibra all the best are selling for huge huge money the rest noit so big. Remember De Silvestri cost 2.5 million for the Viola and you think a team will buy Kaladze for 6 million Jankulovski for 4 million and Onyewu 5 million really.....REALLY.

What did he achieve to be better than Sheva? Is he a golden ball winner, has he won the champions league? You're talking nonsense, I know that you're in love with him and he's you're best player ever but be reasonable, please.

Mate, contrarly to the others, I won't insult you nor will say anything personal against you, but saying that Torres is 10 times better than Shevchenko is just forgetting how great was Sheva for years !!

I admit I went to Wikipedia to find more quickly the following informations (so it's under reserve of a verification on official websites).

Fernando Torres (25)
- 2001 (he was 17) to 2007, Atletico: 91 goals in 243 games
- 2007 to nowadays, Liverpool: 59 goals in 95 games
That's a ratio of 150 goals in 338 games (0.44 goal per game)

Sheva (33)
- 1994 (he was 18) to 1999, Dynamo: 96 goals in 152 games
- 1999 to 2006, Milan: 172 goals in 291 games
- 2006 to 2008, Chelsea: 22 goals in 76 games
- 2008 to 2009, Milan: 2 goals in 26 games
- 2009 to nowadays, Dynamo: 4 goals in 18 games
That's a ratio of 296 goals in 563 games (0.52 goals per game)

Looking at these statistics, I don't know how you can say that Torres is twice, 3 times, 150 times or "any other number of your choice" times better than Sheva ever was, especially when you know that Sheva started to level down after his departure from Milan ...

I read from you that Torres was better because he is excellent in EPL and Sheva was a flop ... is that a reason ? The Sheva we all knew in Milan would have burned the EPL without any doubt if he went there younger.

Going to Chelsea was simply the bad (worse) move at the bad moment for his career.

I would just say that Torres could be in the same category as Sheva was, or even better, but, and it's my own opinion, he will have to leave Liverpool (and England) to achieve that.

Oh, and I forgot something ...
Shevchenko already ended as the top scorer of the CL in 1999 when he was 23 (which he did again in 2001 when he was 25, the current age of Torres). You can then add many other rewards of that kind during his entire career (best scorer of Serie A, of Ukraine, etc, Golden Ball too).
I recall you that Torres never ended a competition as the top scorer.

Thanks GEO...I didnt have to bother with stats and all.

Stats show who is better...but IMO also SHEVA was a more complete striker than Torres...maybe the most complete of the Decade. seriosly. He had it all....shot from distance, dribbling, pace, finishing, positioning, heading Great against Big teams.. 15 + goals against inter. (We so miss him) .

I guess my anger towards him made me forget actually how great was Sheva. Maybe better than Kaka. :S

First of all,i dont agree that torres is already better than sheva on his peak,so untrue..

Samaldinho you talk about dzeko and torres like there's 10 years between them, for the love of "god" torres i sonly 2 years older!!!and he already is Torres!!what are we comparing people??most of you tend to forget that dzeko was tottally outplayed by grafite last year, anyone could see that!

firstly you may read my previous post,
revolver got carried away by his feelings and i understand him,i never said dzeko doesnt have the potential to be half as good as torres is..i choose my words carefully i said "he is not half as good as torres is"(meaning now) and "he doesnt even have the potential to be such a player"..they are too different, yes maybe he has the potential to be the next van nistelroy(although too much for me),but not torres, they have nth in comon!!

it is easy to praise a young man like dzeko, and say that he has the potential to be gr8..But its wrong to compare him with an already gr8 player, who we tend to forget that he is young too,he also has the potential to become sth gr8er than he already is..
