this is good news, both milan youth products who are decent bench players, + they will accept the bench without moaning. And Leo also knows we need another fullback, a Worldclass fullback or someone with that potential.

We need home grown (Italian) and Milan youth players in our CL squad if we want to participate due to the new rules, I think some people forget this! It's also another reason why we shouldn't just buy every foreigner under the sun.

Also 8m for Kaladze, TAKE IT and throw in a few nice bottles of Italian red to go with him!

I actually think they're better than 'decent bench players'. They're also needed for when (and if) the 6+5 thing is in place.

Abate/Antonini are better than bench players IMO......give them the full season run....that ill make wonders for next season onwards........they are very mobile full backs -----full backs are always better off that way...both can leave their opposite defenders behind just coz of their acceleration...abate just needs to work on his positioning....antonini is more complete in that role.....

Real risks in the second half of the season because of the fatigue aspect ---Nesta's injury + Borriello's injury + Pato's injury + Nobody to replace any of these 3 players-----considering these we need one player each in the mentioned positions....

I dont understand signings like mancini---he has not played regularly since his time at roma + plus he is aged + he takes the non-EU spot for us.....i dont see him performing well---Mancini will be amazed that Galliani signed him coz he gets a place to play even at his age (in the champs league) while none of the other top draw clubs will accept him......BAD BAD signing.....real question is why are we still keeping hold of players like kaladze, janku, oddo , onyewu etc who cannot help us with anything other than lose the games for us if played.....and also have a big payroll....
I am not that keen on milan spending more than 20m for a single player like an expensive forward is out of the question...else we can buy 4 or 5 near world class players with that krasic (should sign him 100%, kjaer, hernanes, marchetti etc) and let pato, r80 weave their magic and help win the serie a & the champs league for us....being so, signings like torres or dzeko will not win us anything...and will make us pay during the latter half of the season where the players are more fatigued & injury prone......this is where teams like inter who have a bigger roster always tend to perform well...during the mid season when teams have to play 3 games a week...

its just my opinion..everybody are free to criticize....

Mancini doesn't take a non EU spot because the transfer is within Italy. He was brought in because we desperately needed a winger off bench and we didn't have enough budget to sign a hobo off the street.

I strongly disagree with the sentiment that we shouldn't spend over 20 mil on a star player. As I see it, as much as we need depth, we need more star power on the team just as much. Guys like Kaka, Shevchenko, Messi and Ronaldo wins championships for us, especially in the CL. Besides, 20 mil is hardly the price tag for a star player these days. In this market, a solid starter cost 20 mil.

agreed that the Kakas & the Messis bring us the silverware....but we didnt buy Kaka or pato for 80mln euros, barca didnt buy messi for that sum either....we just need to concentrate more on the youngsters like krasic for instance who will be a star of the future......We do not want to become a real madrid who buys in form star players for enormous sums of money & let them rot their career....and win nothing in the end...

While one is playing his first full season at a big club in a new position and the other is a classic case of a late bloomer. Players like Cap Maldini only comes around per century, give Abate and Antonini some more time. For Christ sake, Macion was not a joke before he was 25 or 26. Drogba needed 50 chances to score a goal before 28.

The guy is 29 years of age ...since when 29 is "aged" player.??? we are milan, 29 is youngster considering the latest history we`v had.

The latter part of the comment should say "so don't expect any expensive signing next summer" but was excluded

We're offered Benzema for 20-25 million Euros? If true, then that's worth considering.
