This is a classic post on MM ( that I love evendough people are not objective ). TORRES ripped Vidic, Borriello is 5 times less of a player then Torres. What are we gonna do, cross vs Ferdinand and Vidic? That would be hillarious...

Dinho played well vs 10 man Siena and later on went to walk for 4 games. Its great way of lifting the spitir of people that play and run for you!!

I reall, really hope Pato will play as we can once again just cross the ball 150 times into the box! Pato can play vertically and Dinho will have balanced marking coz of the space PAto can create on the other side. Also Evra will have to play differently for 90min.

Pato + Nest is our only hope that we can play for 180 min on pair with United. And if I see Dinho and Seedorf walking again, vs United, I think I'll have a stroke or something.

Latest news is that Nesta is fully recovered and will play on Friday. Pato is reported to be fit but still hasn't had a full training session with the team.

I agree with what you say. But I think that maybe your expectations of Pato are too high. Certainly he will make us much better than we have been recently. His speed/acceleration, vertical movement etc will not only give Man Utd problems when he has the ball but also when he is off the ball, he creates space for his teammates.

But I am not so sure that he is a matchwinner, at least not against the big teams. Against a small side he can provide the magic, but against United I dont think he has what it takes. While he does have the potential to be just this kind of player, I think that he has a long long way to go, and that he lacks the experience and maturity as of now.

Nesta on the other hand, well, he is godlike. Not only is he a monster in defense, but this season he has even proven that he can score vital goals on corners. It is truly great that he will make it.

He is the best U21 player in the world. Scored 2 vs Real away and made fun out of them. Then scored a "winnner" at S.S. but was called for non existing foul. Pato can play vs anyone.

it's not that he has potential to be world class...he already is

I agree with you Mrki and Lebrn, Pato can play against anyone and he has the potential to be worlds best. but IMO he is played out of position... he is so much better as a striker. he hasnt been as great as right winger than he was as striker.

also agree
i can understand that the way we are playing now, the 4-3-3, we probably don't have anyone better than him on the right wing. If Mancini can cut it there, then I would definitely prefer to see him as a striker. However, given Dinho's form of late, i would favor a more traditional approach with 2 striker: Hunter-Pato up front...and that is what i am hoping Leo will try in the Udinese match on Friday (albeit Pato won't probably start)

I've read somewhere that Leo will try that with borriello and the hunter upfront. Its worth a try IMO. And yeah if Mancini can get himself in good form I'd love to see an attack with Dinho-Pato-Mancini. all brazilian again

yeah i've already started the thread for the udinese match and discussed this point...but nobody seems to care about that match
everybody's already on the ManU match...i hope this is not the case with the team too because we really need to beat Udinese first

Dosen't matter. He wouldn't have started any way. I would have been happy if it was Nani

I highly doubt we will see a performance like the 94 final but...we should be capable of winning. Let's hope players like Silva, Nesta, Pato, Seedorf and Boriello are ready for this game. Honestly I'd like to see Beckham start but I don't care right now I don't want to even think I just am too concentrated on watching the match!

None is talking about our fullbacks, who are awfull and not on the level of a great CL game! And about Dida, who again had a game for serie C!!!!!

We talk about Borriello, who will just with Rio and Vidic, and Dinho etc. We should be talking about possibilities of Seedorf to maybe finnally plays good 90min, maybe Bonera as a RB and someone on the left ( Antonini if Zambro is not fit).
