I would never asked For Oddo and Zambro to play...but now that Nesta is out...as a whole this defense can cope with the pressure...cuz Geo, Oddo is fine defender better than abate in every way.

Oddo Bonera T.S Zambro

Or if you will

Zambro Bonera T.S Antoni (he combines best with dinho)

But we can not afford to have Janku, abate ( who bless his will and courage is still prone to mistakes, which Bonera can`t fix as Nesta used to) Favalli, kaladze

I would love to give the time abate to grow..but not as Rb..lets have him in the middle where he actually was really good at the begging.

To be more clear...I believe more in the experience of Zambro and Oddo combined with the youth of T.S and Bonera. to mount a serious challenge on inter.

I strongly disagree for Oddo: yes, he does have experience, but no, he's not that good in defence anymore. And after 3-4 months out, I don't expect anything from him.

Before his injury, he was regularly beaten on one-on-ones, and he wasn't placed that well, especially when the defence was trying to play offside.
He had no pace, no speed, and was really bad physically, that can only be worse now after all these months out and it's the main reason why I don't want to see him in our team anymore.

I prefer your second defencive line, and I will prefer Abate instead of Zambro (same reason as for Oddo: long time without playing, he just comes back from an injury at the worst moment, in the last run when we can't lose points, it's why I also don't expect to see Onyewu on a pitch for Milan this season, at best, they have to be subs, playing some minutes here and there, and should be used only in an emergency case).

About Jankulovski, it's like Oddo, I don't want to see him in our team anymore, I just think this guy is useless and should only be used when we have no other choice ... until this Summer, because I hope he will leave then.

Anyway, we will probably not use Bonera until the end of this season because, I don't know what is the problem with all these players, but he seems to be done in paper ... and that could then be another problem for Leo.

I see where this is coming, and i understand all your points...I myself when I see this line up

Abate Bonera (if fit) T.S Antonini

What I see is highly inexperienced players including T.S here. but thats me,and when it come to defense I like it to be very experienced..but I will not have a problem if abate and antonini play..at least they will be given a proper chance to shine..

From my previous posts you can see that actually have more problem with Bonera covering Abate than abate himslef

yup bonera & antonini are out..
i disagree with you guys about Oddo, he`s good in defence and he played very well against Real Madrid, on the left back, i prefer to see janku he can create alot of chances.. abate? i guess Leo should leave him in the bench... Zambro? oh plzz no more stupid crosses...
Galliani should help Leo and bring some gr8 singings such as montilivio, hernanes, cacau maybe? dzeko, and a good defender maybe Bonucci? everytime i see Bari this defender impress me...

As far as I know, Galliani can bring whoever he wants, Leonardo won't be able to use them before the friendly games of this Summer ...

I don't remember the performance of Oddo against Real Madrid, but he was just bad, there is no other word to describe his performances, in most of the games before his injury.

So Kastriot, we agree on the fact that the main question is "Is Bonera going to be able to step up or is he just a player for the bench ?" ... If I'm not wrong, we agree actually ?

I strongly disagree with Albertazzi, it would be suicidal to play him. He never trained with first team and now he should be introduced to play a big role, a first 11 role that is?! A BIG no from me.

Oddo is not so good, but he's better than Abate. At least he can defend when his up to, he can be involved in team moves (which is totally strange for Abate) and, no matter what anyone thinks, his crosses are very dangerous. He often fails to deliver on target, yes, but he can curl them with speed, so it's very tough for a defense to deal with that kind of crosses.

I agree that we should give a chance to younger players for them to try to prove their worth and not to the players who'll leave this summer (Oddo, Janku...), but we are neither lost nor secure at this point, so we can't play it cool. We have a chance to win something this year, a not just something, but Scudetto we failed to won since 2004, and we didn't win with a LOT stronger teams back then.

So, we must be 100% serious, Leo should play the best 11 possible every time, with no regard which players are young, or which players are leaving in the summer.

For tomorrow's match, I would play:

--------------Abbiati---------------
---------T. Silva------Favalli--------
Oddo---------------------Jankulovski
------------------------------------
----Becks-----Pirlo-------Flamini----
------------------------------------
------------Ronaldinho--------------
------------------------------------
-------Inzaghi-----------Borriello----

Explanation:

Favalli is liability, so is Jankulovski, so we need experienced player like Oddo to start. I'm afraid just to image defense with Favalli, Janku and Abate, even F. Baresi could't hold that defense, let alone T. Silva.

In midfield no Ambrosini because he plays bad at the moment and he's tired, but we also need some energy in midfield so yes to Flamini.

For attack, I think we all know that Ronaldinho has no support when he plays on the left without Seedorf in the team. So I would put him in the center so he could get some help from Becks. That would also help our attack, because without Pato we can't play with side attackers. So, 2 attackers in the line would be great no matter which two of them three plays there. I would put Inzaghi because reasons explained many times in my posts, and NOT Huntelaar beside him, because Borriello can come deep and can help in team play and Hunter can't do that.

Oddo is slow, Oddo makes defencive mistakes, his crosses never pass the first defender (!!).

When I see your formation, I see a loss, because it's only slow players against a team going to play a counter-attacking game by probably letting us have the ball most of the time and in their side.

I don't think Leo will change his formation this way anyway ...

I think it will be more something like following.

Defence:
Abate - T.Silva - Favalli - Zambro
OR
Abate - T.Silva - Favalli - Janku
(yes, not the best of defences, but Leo will have no choice as Oddo shouldn't be called up, nor Onyewu, not Bonera, nor Antonini, and nor Nesta of course)

Midfield:
-------Gattuso - Pirlo - Seedorf -------
Beckham -----------------------------
---------------------------- Ronaldinho
with an alternative version without Gattuso (replaced by Flamini).
OR
-------Gattuso - Pirlo - Seedorf -------
Mancini -------------------- Ronaldinho
with an alternative version without Gattuso (replaced by Flamini).

I don't expect Ambrosini to play this game. He needs some rest.

In attack, I don't know at all who Leo will use ...

That's one loooong injury list. I hope we can capitalize on Inter's dropping of points tomorrow. We'll need Dinho to have a good game and hope that the players have not been affected too badly by the CL defeat earlier this week...

If Seedorf and Zambrotta could play from the start, it would be great. But, I still don't "buy" Becks as a winger, two strikers against defending team are MUST...

ok, i maybe could understand why people are divided between Abate & Oddo, but i can't understand why anyone could use any combination of the available fullbacks without Zambrotta!!

i know he hasn't been at his best this season and that he is coming back from injury, but he remains better than Oddo, Janku, Abate any given day and i don't know what better opportunity there is to reintroduce him to match play than a home match with Chievo!!!

and Geo, why wouldn't Flamini be a starter in midfield??? I am not asking just because i am a fan of the guy but i think if Leo is looking at it, he was one of our few "non-awful" players against ManU and one of the better players in the last couple of matches so there should be no reason to drop him.

The formation with Beck as winger was small teams killer before, of course without Pato. We stopped use this after Derby and Pato was back.

Beck----------------------------Dinho
--------------Borriello----------------

has proved it effectiveness against small teams many times, that's why we have this standing now.

In the 2 regretful match against Bologna and Livorno, we play Mancini as winger full time (Bol) and Livorno this time has the utmost high spirit with Cosmi's commitment.

2 strikers did not proved it worth, IMO. Last 20 minutes against Fio, we play: Dinho, Borri, Hunter, Pato, but that was an emergency in need of point, not starting line up.
