Yeah seriously. So much money invested in the Milan Lab, and they couldn't detect Nesta's injury before it got really bad. And honestly, an achilles tendon doesn't just snap either, there must have been some signs before Becks was injured.

I'm just not sure if it's the people who have qualification issues or is Milan lab. Milan lab can only do that much; it's the people who make the calls at that end.

I hate to say it but I think it has to do with the team doctor giving the go ahead to play players who should be rested than playing hurt.
There are a lot of ways to make a player feel fine even if they are injured like drugs or physio...Team doctor should be the one who protects the players but I have a feeling that they are force to clear those injured players due to lack of squad depth. Now I am not saying B & G or even Leo were involve in convincing the players to play hurt but one might wonder if that is the case or not. |

Kaka said that the training in Madrid is too light in comparion to in Milan.
After the success of 2002-2004, MilanLab proud of the rejuvenation of old player like Maldini, Costacuta and we sign another one: Cafu. However, many players left Milan after long term injuries (then drop form): Serghinho, Cafu, Emerson,... they are old then we did not notice. But even Sheva and Kaka left after suffered injuries more frequently and failed to perform then. I think, the reason is the "overclocking" method of training MilanLab gives. Maldini has the superhuman fitness so he endured, Costacuta did not play much. I doubted Redondo's case is the first error of MilanLab. Ronaldo is famous for being fragile, but he was not so at Barcelona and Real, the problem rose only at Milan (Inter then AC). Therefore, I make bigger hypothese, top Italian teams like Milan, Juve, Inter use hard training method to be more competitive as Inter & Juve suffer many injuries, even more than us (?). If that true, they have reason to do so, but they must recalculate. If a player has no contact with other player (in training or matches) and collapse, there must be problem. Ronaldo, Pato, Nesta, Beckham and who's next? This is only a hypothese. However, I really feel uneasy about the fact. |

Agree with your suspicions Jeff. Also there's no reason to doubt that Berlu may have cut the funding at the lab as well
