This is a really old article, but confirms that this is Janko's last season unless Galliani goes down to his knees and begs him to stay and sign a 10 year contract!
Careful what you say, man, it just might come true.

damn lol.... Barcelona is playing with the same tactics for 2 years now.
and Inter was owned twice by Barca

Frankly, i don't see why there is so much discussion about game tactics. Mourinho isn't a tactician and never was. He inspired his team into fighting, pressuring and outrunning the opponent for 90 minutes.

Inter wanted to win more than Chelsea and hence they won.

Well Inter played well last night strong determined first to the tackle and won knocked Chelsea out. Chelsea again alway's moaning and crying they were not hard done by last I honestly don't know what they were swearing at the officials for good win for Italian football bad win for my loyaltes Inter looked strong great even.

On another note happy Saint Patricks day to all that celebrate and those that use it as an excuse to party have a good one and drink sensibly.

You know what could be interesting with the fact that Inter plays well (ummmh I really wasn't convinced yesterday, both teams were bad, yes, they all ran a lot, they all fighted, but it was hard to see more than 3-4 passes in a row ...) ?

They attack our proudness, our "DNA" to use Galliani's words.

While our management accepted not to be better than Inter in Italy but with better results than them in Europe (probably because CL is more ... classy, I don't know, all lights are on this competition, and even when Inter wins 2-3 championships, if we win a CL during that time, we are still better than Inter in the heads of most of the people), if Inter is able to qualify for semi-finals, final or even win this competition, which I don't think so, we could suddenly see our management trying to make the right moves to be competitive again on the European front ...

erm... noooo... Berlusconi will just say that the coach doesn't allow the team to play

then he will take over as the head coach and lead us to CL glory, Scudetto, and Coppa Italia

Well, I'm still surprised that Berlusconi hasn't done it yet ...
And I'm curious to read what Berlusconi will say when we will win Serie A in some weeks !! Probably something like "I said it we would do it !!" ...

Yes, of course! That's their biggest problem.

See, Ancelotti tried to play diamond midfield at the start of the season, with Deco in AM position, but it didn't worked so well, so he changed to old 4-3-3 (used by Grant and Hiddink).

From all you mentioned, Ballack isn't AM anymore, at least in Chelsea, he's now box-to-box, Lampard doesn't play AM anymore also, Joe Cole is sh.t... The only real CREATIVE attacking midfielder is Deco, but he lost it. Anyway, he could put Lampard into AM position, but who could he play on Lampard's place?! It all comes down to creative AM, a player who could beat players with the ball and make quick through passes. I mentioned Ribery because Carlo wanted him at Chelsea.

But last night defeat is not just about that, they had many players absent (A. Cole, Essien, Carvalho, Deco, Cech) and many players are out of form (Lampard, Ballack, Anelka, Terry).

Anyway, every team has a weakness, Chelsea's weakness is that they have no such players I described here, i.e. who could beat players with the ball consistently and create something out of nothing. But, they have 4-5 players in first 11 who can score goals regularly, strong defense and super-energetic midfield. That is when every player is fit. But, that's CL, you need only two weeks of bad form to exit, no matter you are among favorites.

When mention Ballack, I really can't understand what happened with him, he was a beast in midfield last season, running consistently 12-13 km per game, and last night he was dead after 70 mins (7 km covered).

Yes, I think Berlusconi will spend:
  1. He has money
  2. He has confidence in the coach now. Leo is a rookie, he must prove himself before having the investment. In the beginning, he did not even have whether fundamental strategy or formation, so he could not say which player suit for his strategy/formation, except for Cissoko. If we play 4-3-3, we need Dzeko more than Fabiano & Hunter, but if we play 2 forwards, 1 top class one is enough as we already have: Pato, Pippo, Borri.
  3. Every coach before had his investment
  4. Despite of saying our squad is complete (which was an act to comfort & encourage the players. If he say the team need 7, 8 new players, except for the stars like Nesta, Silva, Pato, Pirlo, everyone knows his postion is in danger, which is not good in the season running), he know that we need a central forward more than a winger like Mancini. >>> He want to go shopping.
  5. Lost to MU and watching Inter success in CL are the 2 most humiliating things for fans and for him.
I've just thinked about it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

About Honda, I think he is the best player whom can replace Seedorf: quite fast (thank to youth), skillful, good long shot, good passing. He is better than Seedorf in the air, the left foot one normally is harder to deal with than the "normal" right foot, his movement range in the center is large. He would give new dimension to the team. However, we must watch him more in CL. If he shine again, the chance for him to be signed by us is even greater than Dzeko. I do not compare 2 players at different position, just the mentality and achievement in CL.

Milan linked with Yepes...

Next season we will start to looking for a solid CB again though we'll have Kaladze,Yepes,
Favalli,Bonera,Onyewu.

typical stupid move from Galliani...old and finished players...

increase the world class players numbers...

dont increase finished and old and useless players numbers.which is already more than 20...

Honda is good,i like the way he plays.would be nice investment.yet CSKA just signed him, they wont let us sign him that easily...

he linked with my local club before,Galatasaray linked with him and his fee was around 10 m euros when even he was at Venlo.then they signed Elano instead him.

Honda and Hernanes would be too good to be real for me.would be amazing midfield.

Milan has to spend and start to sign world class players in their prime, for success.its a must.

Chealse made a great mistake and didnt strentgh their team much...didnt sign anyone.they should have signed world class midfielders and Ribery...they paid it.

Also Chealse is kind of team inter likes.Barcelona isnt.

inter has no chance vs Barcelona...

Kaladze will be replaced by a younger player for sure ...
Yepes is just there to replace Favalli as an experienced player. As long as his role is this one, I'm ok with it !! Yepes isn't a bad defender, and he has the advantage to be strong physically (something we can't say for Favalli).

Actually half of the value of the player in that time (not when he came to the club where he was loaned out) is enough IMO. Otherwise there should be blind bid.

I don't know exactly the situation about Di Gennaro in that time (how much his half contract and also the currency pounds to euro that has been changed now makes situation a bit complicated) but I still think Milan shouldn't give half of Di Gennaro's contract as part of Boriello's deal since what Milan paid in that time was near Borriello's actual price IMO.

Why do we have to have 2 world class defenders for starting spot and 4-5 crap defenders for just for the bench?

then we say why Leo doesnt play Albertazzi or Rodrigo Ely...(for instance)

instead of this, signing one world class defender,Miranda or David Luiz wouldnt be better...

Bonera is not World class...
Onyewu is not
Kaladze is not
Yepes is not
Favali is not...
Astori is not.

Whoever plays we will miss Nesta and Silva...

if i were galliani,i'd get 5 m euros for Astori from Cagliari and use this money to sign Miranda or Luiz...

but Galliani will pay more than 5 m euros for Astori then sign Yepes and they will cost us more than Luiz or Miranda could cost...

in return we get nothing and still no world class defender.still Astori and Yepes...

Thats the problem of Milan...Milan spends but in wrong way...

For Gallas rumor, I don't believe in that, Galliani's games with old big-wage players cost us a lot, so I don't think he'll get Gallas, and Berlusconi already said that we're going for the players up to 23 years of age... Same for Yepes.

Some discussion about CBs... Honestly, does anybody here believes that there's a world-class CB who's willing to sit on the bench in Milan?! Can you show me ONE world-class CB who sits on the bench regularly that's not 30+ years old? I can say two that come close: Cordoba and Alex. And though Cordoba was world-class but he isn't anymore, Alex is just very good defender, he'll never be world-class. Bonera is also a very good defender. He failed against Manchester, so what? Nesta failed against Manchester too. What we need is a talented, future world-class defender, who'll replace Nesta when the times comes.

We can buy a world-class replacement for Nesta, the player who can play on the side and be very good in it. That's the only way. Like Chivu in Inter. He's a world-class CB, who can play LB and play it very good. But the problem is that I don't see a player like that.

Barcelona are not as predictable as Chelsea is now and as Milan were under Ancelotti, they are a very adaptable team and can change the pace when needed.

it seems to be working then, I think it would be fair to call that a "tactic", and an effective one at that.
