You will find easily that Real Madrid financed their mercato thanks to loans. Perez made the debt increasing very much.

His economical model is based on the fact that thanks to merchandising and the "image rights" of the players, the money will be brought back ...

About the economical situation, Real Madrid is now closer of Manchester United than Manchester City ...

These problems of (virtually) rich could really be a big problem for these clubs someday.

At least, we're economically balanced or almost ...

Real and their problems. Nice problems to have actually.

Anyhow, the only thing that interests me about Real is Van Der Vaart and Drenthe.

Drenthe will most probably be allowed to leave this summer and for not that much money. VDV can also be bought, I'm sure.

Drenthe IMO can be of great use to our side. He can play as a LB in an emergency (Antonini should be the starter unless there are other changes).....but Drenthe's biggest asset for us will be in the midfield and attacking positions. He can step in for Ronaldinho when needed and he can play as a LCM when needed also. He has all the attributes needed to perform these two positions with high quality. He is aggressive and will win balls because of that and work back. He isn't affraid to take on people and he has great ability to take players one-on-one. He can whip in dangerous crosses and isn't affraid to let go of a shot. His technique is also more then good enough to play as a LCM and in Dinho's position. I am not warried about the fact that he doesn't play in Real because I want him here for a totally different role then what they have him for. And also.....we are talking about a club that sold Robben and Sneijder to fit their "big neme/big player" signings.

As for VDV....I don't think I need to say anything. He is a quality player. One that can be of great help to us. But obviously VDV's transfer will totally depend on what happens with Seedorf and how Leo plans to use Seedorf next year.

Yes, we're economically balanced and following the process of rule 6+5. If UEFA insists on the financial regulation and that rule, we'll benefit in the long run. And for now... just endure and be humorous

I don't know how much they'll get from the image right, but the number must be enough for some purposes. In the last Galaticos age, they focused only on the attacking players. They learnt something from that, didn't they?

You're right, Real is different from Man City in term of financial source, but the ability to spend of both worths my desire

It is not just image rights, but also TV revenues and sponsor deals.

It is fun to laugh at Real now b/c they got knocked out like us. But I don't think they were outplayed as bad as a lot of the media made it sounded. To me, if only they have someone who can score those chances, they would have gone through. Personally, i think they will sign Villa for sure and another LB-probably Cissohko as they seen him up close.

The Yepes rumours are pretty much confirmed by both sides according to milannews.

Galliani, the moron, will eventually sell the man and invest in another 19 young players that will do nothing. Or its better to buy Viudez again and pay some trips to Brasil to Braida and his friends to have a good time!
I agree that Flamini shouldn't be sold but I don't think he was unfairly treated against Chievo. We should rotate the squad when possible and Flamini had played 2 very tough games just before Chievo, so a rest was deserved. I expect him to start today against Napoli.

I'm not sure VDV would be easy to get due to his girlfriend's problems, but Drenthe would be an interesting purchase if we got him for a good price. It'd be interesting to try him in Ambro's role in the side as well, as someone who can push forward from deep areas down the left.

Well, Drenthe is no Davids even though he looks alot like him. I rate him as a very good squad player but not a starter for a team like Milan or Real or any other big clubs.
VDV will be really good in Seedorf's role but his gf is an issue and since Feb, he has been the best midfielder for Real-in my opinion.

The only thing that bothers be is VDV, who is an excellent player that we should have bought since he was in Ajax... the same for Snejder, Tony, Ribery, Drogba and so on...

I remember some people here were laughing when we were to buy Rib, Tony, Drogba...

So some of you stop to be miserable... we need some fresh stuff...

Don't think anyone was laughing about Ribery as he has always been awesome ever since he broke into the French NT.
As for Toni and Drogba.
Well I can see that about Toni as he was 29 turning 30 when he left Viola and at that time Gila was doing okay in Milan and I am sure we all thought Gila was going to break out that season-which he didn't.
As for Drogba, it depends on when, at Monaco he was not nearly as good as now, since he needs like 10 chances to score a goal. Nobody expects Drogba to become the player he is today.

Then lets refreshing

Rafa said: Liverpool 4th will secure Gerrard & Torres' stay.

http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/20...lace-will-mean

Liverpool does not have good financial balance so it is true that they must sold their player if things go bad.

Gerrard's price is getting lower and he is the symbol. I think Torres is more likely to be sold.

Torres likes Pool, but for player of his calibre trophyless is unattractive.

If he is sold, Premier League clubs are not likely because of the domestic rivalry.

Real does not really need him, Barca should believe in Ibra than exchange him with Torres.

I like Dzeko, but Torres is a dream for me. He will be expensvie, but he worthes every cent, we can exchange Hunter, too.

If Berlusconi is ready to pay, I think the true champion, world class striker like Torres is the player he want the most.

Be optimist, we didn't think we could really challenge for the Scudetto at the beginning, right?

Forza Milan!!!

Money will talk at the end. Although I would love the idea of having Pato and Torres upfront but unless Berlu is willing to pay 50mil, Torres is going no where. BTW, if Pool does not finish 4th. Most likely RB will be gone, and Torres will goes to the highest bidder, most likely ManU, or Barcelona or even Juve.

After the rumour about Toulalan yesterday, today is the turn of Kevin Gameiro from Lorient ... We would be interested by this player to use him as a sub for Pato.
It looks like other Italian clubs would be interested by him, and Marseille also tried to have him at the last summer mercato.

He is a 22yo striker (but he has the profile to be able to play on the wing) ... he is small/average (1.68) but he's fast. Technically good, his strenght is his moves. He always runs and tries to offer solutions to his partners.

He never was called by Domenech but Portugal tried to take him at the end of the last season (he refused).

His statistics:

2005-2006: Strasbourg (Ligue 1), 8 games played, 1 goal
2006-2007: Strasbourg (Ligue 2), 16 games played, 3 goals
2007-2008: Strasbourg (Ligue 1), 34 games played, 6 goals
2008-2009: Lorient (Ligue 1), 37 games played, 11 goals, 8 passes
2009-2010: Lorient (Ligue 1), 26 games played, 10 goals, 4 passes

He also scored in the two League Cup games he played (against Grenoble in 1/16 finals, 1-0 win, and against Lyon in 1/4 finals, 1-0 win too).

Lorient bought him 3M two seasons ago. If they were to sell him, he would cost something like 6-7M (Lorient is a small club).

Just on a side note: Gourcuff is the coach of Lorient ... yes, Christian Gourcuff, of course, the father !! The problem after what happened with his son is that he could advice to Gameiro not to come in Milan.
