I was writing an exam while this game was going on...how bad was it really? I typically download any game I miss so that I can watch it but I don't know if I should get this one...

Guys, question is now do we look to the future and try out some youngsters such as Addiyah? Or do we still keep going, hoping Inter will slip up?!

Both are very important decisons to consider

I didnt manage to watch the game, how was it? quite surprised though to see we suddenly use different formation in the game ,however, rather NOT at the right timing (when we need to win the game to keep up with inter) why not stick to usual 4-3-3 ..

still 8 games left, and anything is still very much possible having said that, I will just aim at 2nd position - more than that, if in the end we won the scudetto, I will take it as a bonus

Forza Milan !

Sal we're just four points behind Merda not forteen. With 8 games left there's still a chance. Even if Merda defeats Roma next weekend (God forbids) just don't throw the towel in until it's mathematically impossible for us.

For me, I might be mad , I might not be mad..not so sure now

Why should I be mad? I don't buy some c*** from goal.com that Milan's being a scudetto will be a humiliation to serie A.

That's ridiculous! Why should the winner give a damn about the unsuspecting recent slumps with other contenders? That's the whole thing about a league, it's not about how you start, it's about how you FINISH it.

Let the loser whine about luck, bad period, questionable refereeing, whatever. The winner takes it all, whoever wins it's because that team deserves it!

You better don't watch it. It was that bad.

The game had one clear chance and it was in first minute when Crespo hit the bar. After that, nothing. Slow and painful Milan play around, Parma waiting for the counter... And within all that Inzaghi was in chance, actually he was offside, but the flag stayed down and he headed right into Mirante form 5-6 meters out. That's all.

Oc, Geo, we're waiting for the milan- lazio thread, maybe it'll help ease the pain of defeat.

Watched the game replay on ESPN late last night and man was it baaaad. We looked so blunt so slow and stagnent , we offered not much in attack , and we look broken like badly broken now it was just 1 game but we need some serious thought and change in the summer.

might as well play Adiyiah or some of the other kids as Borri offered nothing and hasnt done for some time now,Hunter struggles to get the ball where he likes it and Pippo needs the ball on a plate, at least adiyiah could be a kind of secondry Pato with his pace.

This result encapsulates our season perfectly....good, but just not good enough.

At least, in my view, we have surpassed expectations.

Winning the scudetto is as totally and completely out of our reach now, as it was when we were -11, and even when only one point away from Inter.

Our lack of depth was always an achilles heel, and has really come to the fore now that we are at the business end of the season.

My only hope is that with Pirlo and Ronaldinho out for the game vs Lazio, that we will be a bit more direct, and press opponents more when we don't have the ball.

FORZA MIIIIILAN (regardless)

1st - Inter (63 pts)
2nd - Milan (59 pts)
3rd - Roma (59 pts)
4th - Palermo (48 pts)
5th - Sampdoria (47 pts)
6th - Juventus (45 pts) -1
7th - Genoa (43 pts)
8th - Napoli (42 pts) -1
9th - Bari (42 pts)
10th - Parma (41 pts)
11th - Fiorentina (41 pts)
12th - Cagliari (39 pts)

Games played in ... about 3 hours (20h45):
Parma 1-0 Milan (FT)
Inter 3-0 Livorno (FT)
Bologna 0-2 Roma (FT)
Bari 2-1 Sampdoria (FT)
Catania 1-0 Fiorentina (FT)
Genoa 2-2 Palermo (FT)

25/03/10 - 20:45
Napoli - Juventus

Well, this defeat is logical regarding the performance of the team.
Everything went wrong, and it started at the 8th second with the shot of Crespo hitting the post ...

I thought we could do it as Parma struggled to score despite the way we played (so, I expected a kind of hold-up in second half), but nothing happened.

Inzaghi managed again to create chances and I think the attitude of Borriello when he was replaced (even if he could have stayed on the pitch and Inzaghi should have replaced Gattuso, and then, if not working, Huntelaar for Borriello) is simply unacceptable, especially when we're fighting for the Scudetto. What does he think ? He's more important than the team ?! I hope he will apologize. I hate this behaviour of diva ...

There is still one game to be played before updating the next game topic !!

At this point, I feel like only Inter can lose the scudetto. Even when +1, sure it was in their hands, but winning every single game is not that realistic. Now they dont even have to win every single game, some slip ups and they are still ahead. The only chance is that they slip up more than just "some", and that we win almost all of ours. Or Roma could do the same. Serie A hasn't been this even in a while, but lets face it, all teams apart from Inter are not CL material.
The race for 4th place is also wide open, and into 5-6th even more, a bunch of teams fighting there. So there are a lot of hungry teams out there to get us.

As for our game… awful. What will we possibly do without Pirlo and Dinho? Not to mention Nesta and Pato.... Will we stick to the 4-3-3 with Mancini and Abate as wingers? Or Hunter as RW? Or maybe things will be mixed up... the 4-3-3 is adapted to Dinho's needs and Pato is also vital in it (although he could very well play CF).
