as for what he can do against better opposition: he scored against Man U during the CL group stages in both the home and away matches. Also had a goal against CSKA Moscow and Besiktas (admittedly not great teams, although CSKA is in the quarters). personally i think he will be great anywhere he plays.

First goal he scored when Evra was his challenger.

Second goal, MU played Fletcher & Carrick as CB.

i think it's unfair to say he doesn't score against top CB's when he hasnt played against any. you make it seem as though he has played against top CB's and been shut out. my point was in the bundeslega and in the champions league he has scored goals. ok, he hasnt scored against Inter, Barcelona, Juve, Chelsea... but he hasnt had an opportunity to play against them.

i agree, you never know how he might do in serie a but it seems we both think the talent is there. for what it's worth, he had 9 goals for bosnia in world cup qualifying which was top of the group and scored a late one against Spain.

i think his quote today saying "i didn't say i would absolutely play in italy" is being blown out of proportion by some. he has always made clear his desire to play for Milan but never said it was the only team he would play for. his quote today doesnt mean he still wont come to italy, it just means he will decide based on the offers he and wolfsburg get this summer. hopefully milan will actually spend some money and try to get him.

Wolfsburg will get their 40 million but not from Milan and they want 40 Million not Huntelaar and 25 million over 50 year's..

A bit OOT, just finished watching Arsenal-Barca and what a game it was! Lately there's been heated argumentation here about our team's effort (or lack of it), but I think even our champions should take some notes from Arsenal's players. He lost both Ferdinand and Vidic and scored at back post, but it seems that means nothing, because Evra was his challenger and not Vidic.

I'm not wondering why, then, some of you think that Borriello is actually a good striker. His marker is always on him, so he can't do nothing. How 'bout actually losing his marker?! Haha.

borriello is at least good enough for Serie A. a couple of his performances this season prove just that. and the reason we see so few of those great performances is because we basically play with 1 attacker and borri has the whole backline on him. our flank attackers rarely pull away defenders to help him out because they play too far out wide.

We have been linked with Tunisia's under 18 "Hadadi" and French 21 yr old Goulon.....

Also, the Pedro deal looks good, but perhpas expensive. Still, i would rather see the money spent than we miss out on a player of a good age, who is not too young to make an impact straight away....

I don't agree with the Ramos deal, and it probably won't happen unless we get him at a discount price. Still worried about our defense though, cause I don't want Kala and Favalli around next season, if we don't reinforce there enough....

Good enough?!

Let's see: In 8 seasons since he plays in Serie A, he scored more than 5 goals per season only twice. In that 8 years, his record is 19 goals per season and at least 5 of them are from penalties. I doubt he would score 10 this year if it wasn't for Ronaldinho's magic.

So, in 8 years he proved that his maximum is about 13 goals per season.

You guys are expecting too much from Dzeko, that's the point here. You're expecting a player who's tearing strong defenses apart and want him for less than 30 M. That's ridiculous.

To add, we should snap Luca Toni, when we had the chance. What he has is natural instinct for getting into good positions and scoring goals, and a player can't lose that. He's proving that in a little time, since he's in Roma.

You're right. However, I was just careful when assess his contribute in the matches, not denied his quality (have I ever done that?).

Dzeko moved intelligently, Vidic saw him (0:34), and even turned his head to check again but do nothing. Vidic paid attention to the player with the ball, although this man already has at least 3 MU players in front of him. Maybe Vidic think he can leave Dzeko for Evra to take care

That was Vidic's thinking error. Dzeko had his job well done. However, maybe I'm harsh about him but IMO, I need to see more from him.
